White wall or screen for the N3 Ultimate?

Submitted these pics of my N1S 4K match setup for the MatchDay Vibe Challenge and somehow got picked for the N3 Ultimate prize. Still kind of can’t believe it haha

I’ve been projecting the N1S 4K straight onto a white wall for match nights and it’s worked fine, so I’ll probably do the same with the N3 Ultimate at first. Mostly football in the living room, lights dimmed. Curious if a proper screen is actually worth it for sports, or if this white wall is good enough for now. Might grab one during prime day if it makes a big difference.

Handheld thermal cameras for home and garage checks: TOPDON vs FLIR vs HIKMICRO vs SEEK

I’ve seen a few comparison posts here where people tested different thermal cameras with the same setup and heat source, then added practical notes instead of just listing specs. Those were pretty helpful, so I wanted to share a smaller handheld comparison for basic home and garage use.

I’ve been looking at compact handheld thermals for HVAC vents, window drafts, breaker panels, and quick car checks after a drive.

The TOPDON TC004 MINI stood out because it feels like something I could leave in the garage and actually grab when needed. The price is easier to justify for casual use, and the long battery life means I wouldn’t have to think about charging it before every quick check. When scanning vents or an engine bay, the 25 Hz refresh also helps the image feel smooth enough while moving around.

The FLIR TG165-X feels more like a simple rugged spot-check tool. I like the FLIR name and MSX-style workflow, but the lower refresh rate might be noticeable when scanning across a panel quickly.

The HIKMICRO B20 looks strong on paper with higher resolution, good sensitivity, and a wide temp range. For more detailed electrical or HVAC work, I can see the appeal. For my use, it feels a bit more serious than I need.

The SEEK SHOT is compact and has a touchscreen, but the lower refresh rate and shorter battery life make it less ideal as a quick garage tool for me.

For home and garage use, would you prioritize battery life, refresh rate, image detail, or just whatever is fastest to grab?
