Battery replacement X7 Plus

Has anyone had to replace their battery on an X7? I'm getting close to 2-years of ownership and my third season of mowing with an X7 Plus and I've noticed recently that my mow time is down to about 45 minutes from what had typically been about 90 minutes and I'm thinking the battery is shot.

Solid metal blades for X7 Gen 2 and X5 Gen 2

Not sure if this is widely known, but it looks like solid metal blades are available for the X7 Gen 2 and X5 Gen 2.

I wonder how these would perform compared to the standard cutting discs. I assume these would be better for thicker/taller grass and possibly mulching leaves in the fall. Anyone have experience with this type of blade?

SUNSEEKER X7 REPLACEMENT - Need advice for 1.6 acres, thick spring grass, and unattended reliability

In 2024, I purchased a Sunseeker X7 Plus (Gen 1) direct from Sunseeker after my local dealer declined to carry Husqvarna's EPOS models, and I was not interested in a boundary wire model. I'm now approaching year 2 of ownership and into my third mowing season. While Sunseeker's support has been fantastic (great company), this mower has been a bit of a letdown in terms of my ability to travel away from home (e.g., for 2 to 4 weeks) and rely on the robot mower to maintain my lawn in my absence.

I experienced many early growing pains that were largely corrected via firmware and software updates (I assume all new products go through this), but also hardware issues: two failed rear drive wheels, two failed 4G modules, and many other issues. The latest (in progress and waiting on Sunseeker's response) is that it seemingly detects grass as an obstacle and is leaving many patches of uncut grass, greatly reducing the mowing capacity such that it cannot keep up with my lawn during this fast-growing, spring rainy season.

I think it's now time for me to move on from this X7. I am looking for a mower that can handle thick, fast-growing grass and power through it even if it overgrows slightly during frequent rains. The ability to keep up during periods of heavy rain/fast growth and operate reliably while I am away from home for up to a month is my absolute top priority.

My Property & Constraints:

Size: 1.75-acre lot with about 1.6 acres mapped for mowing.

Terrain: Mostly flat, but I have a large, long berm with a 27% (15-degree) max slope. Obstacles include flower beds around the entire home, a driveway, nine trees/telephone poles, and one island flower bed.

Debris: I'd like the ability to handle small twigs that drop from trees. (Note: I recently had two trees removed and two others heavily trimmed, so my twig issue has been reduced by ~60-70%, but it's still a factor).

Road Frontage: I have significant road frontage on about 1/2 of the lot. I'd like an app with highly reliable zone-scheduling so I can force the edge-mowing to occur at night (I.e. outside normal mowing hours) to minimize any risk with passing cars.

After researching this extensively, I'm turning to the Reddit community for input. Below is my short list of mowers along with my rationale, but I'm open to other suggestions:

Segway Navimow X450: Rated at 1.5 acres [1], but Segway confirmed it can handle my 1.6 acres. The design seems great, the Navimow App is one of the best rated behind Husqvarna, and reviews for Navimow mowers generally seem favorable. I also looked at the X390 which is rated at a higher capacity, but I really like the design of the X450; perhaps my bias is leading me in the wrong direction. My only lingering concern is if the razor-blade discs will struggle to catch up on wet, tall grass.

Sunseeker X7 (Gen 2): Rated at 1.5 acres. The X7 Plus (Gen 2) seems to have resolved some of the issues I had with my Gen 1 device. Sunseeker replaced the rear drive wheel (which failed twice) with a bigger, presumably more robust wheel. The cutting discs now include 6 blades (vs 3), an optional cover to reduce friction, and options for solid metal blades. However, it's not clear if they improved the power of the cutting motors to better power through thick grass (perhaps the solid blades solve this?). Also, two issues seem unaddressed: grass accumulating on top of the mower deck causing lift errors, and gaps between the body and safety bumper where twigs get caught. I'm leery of another X7, but it could be a case of the "devil you know is better than the devil you don't."

Sunseeker Elite X9: Rated at 3 acres. I don't know much about this mower as it is positioned towards commercial markets in the U.S. It is almost twice the price of the X7 Plus (Gen 2) and Navimow X450. The timeline for U.S. availability is also unclear. It seems highly capable and very likely will be a breeze to cut my 1.6-acre plot, but it's almost twice the price of the X7 and X450.

NOT ON SHORT LIST, BUT STRONGLY CONSIDERED:

Husqvarna: The 440iQ is rated for 2 acres and the 450XH EPOS is rated for 2.5 acres. The former is in the same price range as an X7 Plus (Gen 2) or X450, while the 450XH is about twice the price and actually more expensive than the X9. While I have little doubt Husqvarna offers outstanding support, a robust repair network, and one of the best-rated apps, I'm not convinced either mower solves my "catch-up mowing" or twig concerns better than the Sunseeker or Segway models.

Lymow (and to a lesser extent, Yarbo):  The solid blade design is appealing to solve my catch up mowing and twig problems, but overall support and App quality leaves many concerns.  Additionally, I have concerns that the track design is going to be rough on the lawn, particularly in areas frequently traveled like the docking station entry/exit point.

Thought on these models? And are there any other models I may have overlooked that actually handle spring growth and meet my other requirements?  Thanks!

Given the importance of the App to most automower solutions, I created this table containing key statistics related to downloads (DL), ratings, and date the App was last updated. The average reviews number is the average across the Android and Apple stores. The download number and share is from the Android store only since Apple does not publish this statistic.Given the importance of the App to most automower solutions, I created this table containing key statistics related to downloads (DL), ratings, and date the App was last updated. For those who have installed a Kohler generator, I'm curious to know what you did for the generator pad? I'm looking at options for a 26 RCA such as...

OEM Kohler Pad, GM104820-KP1-QS

Power Pad, Z23006E

QwikPad, QT8202

On-Site fabricated concrete

Something else

If you purchased a prefabricated pad like the three brands I mentioned, where did you source it? I'm leaning towards the OEM Kohler pad, but given its weight, I would need to source it locally and I'm wondering who would stock these? Electrical supply shops?

The generator is being installed in southeast Pennsylvania on a repurposed flower bed next to the house. It's next to a driveway in the sidewalk to the rear patio and so I want something that is as aesthetically pleasing as possible.
