I was considering replacing the google search on my website with Brave assuming that is ok with them. I'd rather have a "powered by: Brave Search" than Google. But when I do a site:steveshank.com and then enter some search term like "nextdns" or "spotting phishing attacks" or "layered security" - The search is great, but each description begins with a bold "Veracrypt". and neither duck nor google does that and I can't figure out where it comes from. What's happening and does Brave support us doing this?

A month or 2 ago iDrive had a bug that caused it to be running in the background and actually working and using say 10% of resources. It is doing it again. Is this being seen by others and has idrive said "oops" again and have a fix on the way?

Was the software written by a disgruntled employee? I cannot consistently get my new Q7 L5 doing what I want. I cannot get the gestalt or use pattern needed to run the software. My desire is that most of my rooms should be done twice. Just change the default to 2. Sometimes it seems to do it, sometimes not. If I select a room, then custom, then mess around until I manager to get a template with 2 passes, there is no way to apply it. Once I've created a template for a room how do I select it? Once I've selected it, how to I make that happen? Then sometimes, it forgets what rooms are selected, or keeps rooms I didn't select.

Honestly, I've never encountered such a bad UI before. I did succeed yesterday in getting much of my house done as I wanted. Just one room left. But, after being sure I had it, worried that another room appeared bright and colored so was selected, but it wasn't Roborock finished with only 1 pass.

What is the secret?

Kobo has fixed their VIP membership cancel issue, at least for me. I got an email today saying my membership has been renewed and will renew every year on May 25 (today). They paid it from my current store credits.

I recently added memory, which I do like. It seems pretty smart about tailoring answer to me. However, I've also noticed that my costs seem about double what they used to be. A query that might have cost 2,000 points last month costs 4,700 now. I made a query using Gemini Flash that was pretty short and simple, and it cost 635, while it seemed much more like a 200 point question.

So, is this a general we're charging more points or is memory which was supposed to not add much adding more than they thought it would? Anyone know anything?

I've been a VIP member since 2015. I was ok with the price increase. My membership was supposed to renew May 7. When I went in today to buy a book, I noticed it had been cancelled. No notice. Nothing. It was on auto renew. I've worked with support for about an hour, and she can't figure anything out. Since they cancelled my VIP membership, I cannot change autorenew. The credit card on file is fine. I bought a mother's day $50 card a couple weeks ago. I've asked if I create a brand new account will I lose my VIP points? They don't know. I was given no notice at all. I honestly can't imagine how my auto renew got turned off, if it did. anyone here having a similar problem or ideas that might help. Usually support at Kobo is good.
