The way i understand how it works , if someone create an account with a referral code, they get $10 off the first purchase. But the purchase can’t be from the seller whose code it is.

Is that correct?

I sell items that I think can draw new people to the site and I think offering them $10 off would help sell the products. And I as the seller would get the full amount right?

If this is all right - how do I get referral codes to offer to possible new buyers?

Am I missing something with this idea?
