What are y'all bringing to the repast?

Just when I finally started to like Derek, he's gone on to The Upper Room. He may be gone (for now because... Soaps) but his obsessively in love with Ashley self will not be forgotten. Let's send him home in style: What are y'all bringing to Derek's celebration of life potluck? What are y'all wearing? Which character will be unexpectedly weeping & travailing? What's your toast to Derek?

I'll start: I'm bringing a few plastic barrels of Great Value cheese ball puffs, because there can never be enough snack foods at events like this. Leslie will be travailing because she will never miss a moment to be the center of attention.

Woah! I'm blown away by the creativity in this fanbase. What an amazing effort by the creator. It's really amazing that just by existing, Olandria inspired this artist to make such a creative thing. Wow. Anybody else make one? I included an outfit that many loved in mine.

From AdWeek: The 2026 Creative 100: Celebrities & Creators Taking Culture in New Directions

The world is so much bigger than many of us know. This year’s class of Creative 100: Celebrities & Creators is a vastly diverse bunch who embody our rising curiosity and willingness to understand the people next to us, and those living very different lives far away.

>Olandria Carthen
Fashion tastemaker & television personality

Claim to fame: The Love Island fan favorite and half of power couple Nicolandria, with fellow contestant Nic Vansteenberghe, went from the beach to the catwalk in mere months. Shortly after wrapping the reality show as runner-up, Carthen made runway appearances in New York, Paris, and Milan—three of the four “Big Four” international fashion weeks.

Role model: The first-generation college student is an alum of Tuskegee University and a higher education advocate, especially Historically Black Universities and Colleges and Universities. She’s spoken at Harvard and Texas A&M, and also partnered with Microsoft Copilot for a campaign about academic success. It’s a long way from her past life—not even a year ago—selling elevators.

I'm not sure how to approach this must I was recently in a mocktail tag on another app and here are all the things I saw being called mocktails:

  • Syrup + sparkling water: Isn't this a soda by another name?
  • Syrup + tea: I thought that was called iced-tea?
  • Syrup + lemonade ingredients: Isn't that just lemonade?
  • A combination of fruits and juices: Isn't this still called a smoothie or juice?

Does the category cover all of these soft drinks? Does base / modifier / mixer still apply? Does it just not have to have alcohol?
