Anyone tried travelling with Qantas from Manila to Sydney around late June?

I’m moving to Sydney on the last week of June and booked Economy already, but unfortunately no exit row seats were available anymore.

I tried bidding AUD 800 for a Business Class upgrade (separate from the actual economy ticket price).

Any success stories with Qantas Bid Now upgrades for MNL-SYD? Especially for cash bids only and no status.

Also, are flights usually very full around late June? Hoping sana na hindi gaano busy so i could have a real chance na makuha ung business at a low price (AUD 700 was the minimum bid required).
