Last night, I watched an old episode of “Parts Unknown“, the Anthony Bourdain TV series. Tony was hanging with his good buddy, chef José Andrés, who hails from the Asturias region of Spain, which I had never heard of. Well, these two guys are my superheroes, one the sad, bad boy and the other the happy do-gooder, so I paid attention. The mountains and villages looked unbelievably beautiful, and I immediately got the itch to visit. I wonder what some of the hikes, architectural wonders, birding hotspots, and other things I shouldn’t miss in Asturias when I plan my next trip to Spain. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
Waltham Farmers' Market returns tomorrow, Saturday, June 6, and every Saturday through October. 65 Lexington Street. 9:30 AM to 2 PM. Free music weekly at 11:30 AM.
The Mass Pike was a standout forever for its smooth surface and high maintenance standards. Now it’s a bone-breaker from Stockbridge to Newton. Whahappened?
