Finally Upgraded!

Hey everyone

Finally upgraded from my HONOR X6B to the HONOR 600

The jump in performance and quality feels massive in every single way

When I first unboxed the phone it was running version 10.0.0.127

Right after setup I got the 10.0.0.156 update and updated immediately

The system smoothness is incredible and swiping around feels extremely fluid

Really loving the Magic Capsule features so far

I really wished the Dynamic Effects for animations were present after the update

I also hope HONOR adds the Capsule Style Stack look in the next update

Overall system stability is easily a solid 9 out of 10

Gaming performance and low light camera quality completely blew my expectations

What software version are you guys running and how is your experience so far

Noticeable animation regressions in MagicOS update 10.0.0.163 (Search exit glitch & universal app scaling stutter)

Hey everyone, I wanted to point out two major animation issues that appeared right after updating my phone to build 10.0.0.163. On the previous version (10.0.0.142), the home screen icons and overall transitions were rock-solid and super smooth, so I was really surprised by how glitchy things got after this patch. I attached a merged screen recording showing both problems back-to-back.

The first part of the video shows how the app launch and exit animations suffer from heavy frame drops. This isn't isolated to just one app—it happens across every single app on the phone without exception. Whenever I open any application or return to the home screen, the background icons recede, but instead of a smooth depth effect, the transition stutters and feels jittery. The home screen elements used to feel solid as a rock back on version .142, but now every single app transition feels unoptimized and laggy.

The second part of the video highlights a completely broken exit animation in Honor Search. Opening it works fine, but when you tap outside to close it, the blurred background snaps off instantly with zero fade-out. The search layer awkwardly collapses right into the middle of the screen before snapping back to the home screen icons. It feels like a sudden jump cut instead of a proper fluid transition.

Some might say the average user won't notice this, but micro-stutters directly ruin the high-refresh-rate experience and make the system feel cheaper and laggy compared to version .142.

HONOR team, please look into these animation regressions and bring back the rock-solid icon stability and fluid UI transitions we had in 10.0.0.142!

Sequential Notification Queue for a More Polished Notification Experience

Example:

If I receive five Snapchat messages in quick succession, only the first notification plays its own notification sound while the remaining notifications appear silently.

I think the notification system could be improved by introducing a sequential notification queue.

Rather than displaying multiple notifications at once or silencing the ones that follow, every notification should be given its own moment to appear, play its notification sound, remain visible for its normal duration, and then disappear before the next notification is shown.

This would create a much more organized and polished experience, allowing every important notification to receive proper attention without making the interface feel chaotic.

To avoid excessive notification spam, the system could intelligently combine notifications after a certain limit, such as several consecutive notifications from the same conversation or app within a short period of time.

I believe this would make MagicOS feel even more refined and premium, especially since it already features beautiful notification animations.

Thanks for reading! I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about this idea.

A "Decoupled Modular Building System" for SoD3 (The Ultimate Anti-Climb Mechanic!)

Hey Survivors,

With State of Decay 3 moving to Unreal Engine 5 and officially introducing climbing zombies, our base defenses are going to need a massive upgrade. I’ve been thinking about a base-building mechanic that perfectly balances player creativity, tactical defense, and game engine stability.

I call it the Decoupled Modular Building System.

Instead of the old slot-based system from SoD2, here is how this new system would work:

Geometry First, Material Second: The core idea is that you design the shape of your defense independently of the materials you currently have.

Holographic Blueprint (Ghost Mesh): You enter build mode and draw your walls using a white holographic wireframe. This acts as a preview to see exactly how much space it takes and ensures your base is fully sealed.

The Anti-Climb Curve: You can specifically select an "overhang" or a curved lip design for the top of the wall. Because it's pre-baked into the engine's custom collision, the moment a climbing zombie hits that curve, they lose their balance (Ragdoll physics) and fall flat on their backs!

Dynamic Material Swapping: This is the best part. You can build that exact curved anti-climb wall using just basic Wood in the early game. Later, when you scavenge better loot, you don't need to tear the wall down. You just walk up to it and press "Upgrade," instantly swapping the material to Metal or Concrete on the exact same curved Hitbox.

Why this works perfectly for SoD3:

It gives players total architectural freedom from day one, regardless of their loot tier. It creates a highly optimized building system (since the engine just swaps textures/materials without calculating new physics), and it provides a direct, satisfying counter-tactic to the new climbing zombies.

One last thought:

Do you think we’ll ever see a "Shared World" mode? I’d love to see a game mode where we can build our bases in a massive persistent world alongside other players, trading and surviving together on the same server, rather than just private co-op sessions. Would you guys ?like to see a public survival mode like that

What do you guys think? Should Undead Labs implement a free-drawing building system like this, or do you prefer the old pre-fab slots? Let's discuss!

P.S. I couldn't draw my exact architectural vision by hand, so I used AI to generate the attached blueprint image just for visual reference. If you understand the core mechanics from the text, that's what matters most!

MagicOS 11 should keep this notification design consistent across the whole system

I really like this floating notification design on the home screen.

I hope HONOR keeps this exact notification style everywhere in MagicOS 11 instead of changing its appearance inside different apps.

A consistent notification design would make MagicOS feel much more polished and give it a stronger visual identity instead of looking different from one screen to another.

Another improvement would be keeping the status bar visible when a floating notification appears. Hiding it makes the interface feel less consistent, while keeping it visible would create a cleaner and more polished experience.
