My thoughts/ideas on the Monika and Yuri roleswap planned for Recode.

We players have been informed multiple times by MRT that in the upcoming Recode for the game that Monika and Yuri are going to swapped roles, with Monika as killer and Yuri as a Survivor. While this does make thematic sense as Yuri's mania is ultimately a product of Monika’s file tampering, I would be sad to see these two playstyles go since another of players like or main these two. Plus it would be a massive shame for all the work put into these two just to be thrown away.
So to remedy this down below I thought up a few was that the DC team could keep their plan of the roleswap while also still having their old playstyles for the players who like using the two. This list is going from least favorite option to my most preferred.
1.) They do nothing
As it says, the DC team do nothing. Both Monika’s and Yuri's old movesets are completely removed from the game, leaving only their new ones. This option is my least favorite for obvious reasons but, unfortunately, I do see this being the one the team most likely will chose.
2.) Their old roles are secret unlockables.
As silly as it would be to see two Monikas and Yuris running around, I do think this would be the simplest to keep everyone happy and reduce the work needed. To prevent confusion when looking at the identical characters they could rough up the Killer Yuri and Monika compared to their Survivor counterparts. They could also give them new names, like Act 2/Insane Yuri and Epiphany Monika.
3.) New characters take their old movesets
My favorite option. This allows their old movesets to still be around for the players who liked using them while the DC team still has their wish feo the two to swap roles. I mostly like this option for the reason of bringing new franchises into this multi-fandom game. The biggest question is which characters would best be suited for Monika and Yuri's old movesets. While there's are probably multiple characters that could I've got two that I think k could really fit.
Crazy Mita for Yuri and one of the other Mitas for Monika.
Crazy Mita with Yuri's moveset makes sense and while I do admit having Monika’s powers seems like a stretch for the other Mitas, alongside of the Survivors in DC can't do what they do in their base game (when has Sayori ever had the power to heal people right?) While any Mitas could really fill the Survivor role, I could see Mila being the one chosen while the others could easily be used as skins.
I do know this rant is kinda long-winded but my main reason for making it is that I think it would be a massive shame for the DC team to just completely get rid of all the hard work they put into Monika and Yuri's kit while alienating their old mains by removing their playstyles they've come to like.
Anyways I'd love to see discussions weather you agree, disagree or better yet have ideas of your own on what the team could do.
