I got the cortisone injection 3 days ago and now I’m feeling some pain in my wrist, is that normal?

Doctor told me the cortisone should kick in after a week. Is that what you guys experienced as well?

I’ve been dealing with DQT for a 2 months now and my doctor gave me a 5 day dose of 50mg prednisone which helped relive my pain a lot. After I stopped taking it the pain came back. I’m now considering the next step but wanted to ask you guys if you recommend I do therapy or go straight to cortisone shots?

I’m 24M and my main goal is to be able to get back to lifting heavy at the gym
