currently prescribed 10.5mg + 300mg lithium. i was previously on 21mg alone and requested to decrease my dosage due to hypomania and a rash. the rash went away for about a week and a half after my decrease, but now it’s returned. i talked to my psychiatrist about it, as well as other issues i’m having— mood swings from my new iud, etc. he didn’t really have a suggestion for the rash, aside maybe switching from caplyta to seroquel.

otherwise, i love being on caplyta. i have nothing but great things to say about it, aside from this damn rash. has anyone else experienced this? does it go away eventually?

update: i called my nurse and she (obviously) instructed me to stop taking it until i see my psychiatrist again, which is next week.

23F, been on caplyta for about 8 weeks now, got my kyleena iud inserted four weeks ago. i feel like my mood swings have been progressively getting worse and i’m trying to see if my hormonal iud has any contribution to this. i’m taking 10.5mg of caplyta after we (my psychiatrist and i) decided that 21mg was too much. it was causing hypomania, which lasted about 5-6 days for me. i’ve been having very bad mood swings for the past week or so and i feel them getting worse. i can’t see my psych or my therapist for another two weeks.

i am not in any immediate danger, this is not an emergency. i’m just seeking out to see if anyone else has had any of the problems i’m having. :)

f23, taking caplyta for bipolar 2. i started taking 10.5mg about 5 weeks ago, and i’ve been on 21mg for the past three weeks. lately, i’ve been feeling a sense of euphoria that i felt was adjacent to a manic episode, talking so much that my brain couldn’t keep up, restlessness, etc. but i’ve also developed a rash on both of my arms and my neck. my psychiatrist lowered my dose back to 10.5mg and i will continue to monitor. i don’t see a lot of people talking about this, can someone pls tell me if they’ve had the same issue?

had an MA at 5 weeks about 3-4 weeks ago, i think i’m about to have my first period. can anyone tell me their experience? i read that the first one is pretty bad
