Local nonprofit Daybreak Arts is hosting a Spring Art Show this Thursday, May 21st from 5:30–7:30 PM at Ugly Mugs Coffee & Tea in East Nashville.

This free event highlights artists overcoming homelessness and housing insecurity, while creating space for voices that are too often overlooked in Nashville’s arts community.

Tickets are pay-what-you-can, and guests who donate $10+ during registration will receive:

Hey Nashville! This Saturday, a local artist “Bandy“ is presenting an immersive solo exhibition called The Liminoid™: Anthropoid Incantations (AI) at Main Street Gallery in East Nashville from 6:30–8pm.

This show will explore and challenge artificial intelligence, consumer culture, and corporate advertising through satire, sculpture, prints, video, and participatory experiences.

Bandy has been developing this project since last fall, and parts of the exhibition were informed by responses from an AI in Art Survey many community members participated in.

This is a recent post from the Tennessee Drivers Union aka tndriversunion on IG.

After reading this, it makes sense why everyone in my life who’s actually good at driving for Uber will get randomly deactivated!

I‘m shocked people are getting money after being wrongfully deactivated though! Good for them! Another post on their feed said drivers have won $12k so far!

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there another state that has a union doing this?
