Jansport utility pouch.

Picked this thing up from a thrift store 15 years ago and love it. I would ride my bike 10-20 miles or go camping overnight and this was my personal admin pouch or survival kit.

Pelican pouch on the right side was given to me around 2000, CRKT knife too right was a gift 15+ years ago, middle knife is only about 5 years old while Gerber saw is about 15 years old. Wanted to showcase some classic gear laying around. I did the paracord work myself on saw and knife.

Jansport bag is a nice design. Metal D rings on both sides for a shoulder pouch. Small plastic clip on side. Several external pockets. One main compartment and then a flap that folds down to reveal several more small pouches and a 6 inch long zipper compartment. If you offered me expensive utility pouches of similar size I would still chose this buddy 😊

https://www.wellplated.com/slow-cooker-chicken-curry/

Thai style coconut curry is one of my favorite dishes. A nice thai restaurant makes a good yellow curry that my wife and kids like, so I started off cooking curry in the slow cooker for an easy prep meal.

Eventually I experimented and cooked curry on the stovetop also, but I really enjoy the way curry ingredients mix in the slow cooker to create a masterpiece.

The above link is the closest recipe I could find to my personal curry. They included a good tip, coconut milk at high heat gets oily so it's best to add it towards the end. I put in half my coconut milk to start, letting the flavors mix and not caring if it gets slightly oily because when I add coconut milk In the last hour of cooking it makes the sauce a good texture and creamy color again.

I will post pictures after. Recipe and ingredients...

- 3lbs boneless chicken thighs

-2 cans of coconut milk full fat.

-Ginger root (fresh), and Garlic

-Yellow Onion, Yellow Potatoes, one Red bell pepper.

-Curry, Turmeric and Chili powders. Salt.

I do a couple tablespoons of curry powder and maybe 1 tbsp turmeric and chili powder to taste.

Chop up ginger, garlic and veggies, mix in one can coconut milk with my curry spice estimate and taste the curry as it cooks to judge spice levels. I cook a couple hours until I think the meat falls apart easily, then I add another can of coconut milk in the last hour or so and check my salt, curry and heat combinations.

Normally I add some other spices like Cumin, but Curry powder, turmeric and chili powder are my main spices that kind of balance each other, and turmeric adds more yellow color and deep creamy flavor.

I go light on salt and heat for others in the family, and I can add salt or cayenne and chili to my own separate dish if needed. Always easy to add more heat or salt, harder to take it away after it's in the food.

Witnessed something...

I've been interested in the government's release of videos and files. However, I'm frustrated that the government doesn't release any of the good stuff.

I'm sure it comes down to trying to maintain some level of national security. We can't show pictures from our secret military satellites because it shows other nations what our capabilities are. Likewise, we can't even show the possible incredible evidence because it would let others become aware of what specifically we do and do not know about UFOs or consciousness.

Almost every day I think about something I saw at a park in 2018. Clear blue sky, summer time. I see a white cylinder or tick tack shape in the distance, motionless. While watching I considered the possibilities and decided maybe it was a weather balloon due to hovering motionless in the sky. Then it just disappeared as I was watching it.

With the pentagon/DOW videos there are interesting things that could be explained by perspective or optical artifacts. I wish we got higher quality evidence from the supposed declassification project.

Personally my proof that something is going on will always be watching an object in the sky and then seeing it disappear instantly like some kind of magic trick. I hope that everyone seeking the truth can have a moment like mine. Unfortunately witnessing an object defying known physics ended up creating more questions than I had initially 😂

Rant from my rich grandma.

I love my grandma. But was thinking of an absurd conversation we had 10+ years ago. My grandma is moderately wealthy, used to work basic waitress jobs or whatever until marrying my very wealthy grandfather 30+ years ago.

My drunk grandma and I were talking and out of nowhere she discusses how we shouldn't have Libraries, because it's a tax she has to pay and people can just go buy books.

Maybe at a dinner party she heard the idea that a tax was increasing to fund a library or something. Just found it a big wake up call for how some wealthy people can be very disconnected from lower or even middle class. Personally I think libraries are a great use of taxes, and the argument that people can just buy their own books shows a huge indifference & disconnect to everyone else's reality.

Grandma still donates zucchini to the food bank, but it feels like such a superficial act. When I was temporarily homeless, living in a car with my wife and young kid, I called my rich grandparents asking for help with housing. They just told me to contact Catholic Charity, who for some reason after doing intake assessment told us that "You're not a priority" mostly because priority treatment goes to those with disabilities, mental health or addiction issues.

Just a rant about the disconnect wealthy people have from the rest of us.

Spokane Subreddit.

I made a comment about rent 10 years ago compared to today, that was removed for being threatening. Can someone explain what specifically I did wrong? Seems like Spokane mods do not enjoy people discussing how life could be better around here...
