Finally got my Slice CC 🎉 — ₹25k limit

Finally got my Slice CC 🎉 — ₹25k limit

After a long struggle, Finally got approved for the Slice card, but got a ₹25,000 limit. I applied as a student, so I understand why it might be low.

For those who actually got a Slice limit enhancement, what worked for you?

Specifically, should I:

Keep utilization below 10%

Use around 30–50%

Use most of the ₹25k regularly and repay in full

Also, did you pay before the statement was generated or just pay the bill on time? How many months did it take for your limit to increase?

I have around ₹8 lakh total limits across my other cards, so Slice's utilization doesn't really affect my overall credit utilization. Just trying to figure out what spending pattern gives the best chance of getting a higher Slice limit.

Looking for actual Slice experiences rather than general credit-card advice.

Slice didn't give me a reason, so I'm closing my account

I mailed Slice asking why they declined my credit card application.

They mailed me back saying it was because of "some internal criteria"

That's it.

I'm not asking them to give me the card forcefully. All I wanted was the reason. If it's income mismatch, tell me income mismatch. If it's credit profile, tell me that. Whatever the actual reason is, just tell me.

I recently got rejected by HDFC also and they clearly told me income mismatch. I was completely fine with that. At least they gave me a proper reason.

But Slice is just saying internal criteria and nothing else.

The funny thing is my friend who keeps like ₹200-300 balance with Slice got approved, while I got rejected 😂

I've actually used pretty much every product Slice offers. I had ATOM, FD and maintained a decent balance with them. I was using these products mainly because I thought building a relationship with Slice might eventually help me get approved for their credit card.

I've been a customer since August 2024 and used to maintain around ₹50-60k balance.

Again, I'm not saying I deserve a card because of that. I understand every bank has their own criteria.

But if you're going to reject me, just tell me why.

I also got a call from Slice for some customer feedback. I told them to call me after one hour because I was busy. They never called back.

So I called them myself and explained everything. I got frustrated and told them if you can't give me a proper reason, I'll close my account.

The guy tells me "you can't abuse the bank" 💀

Like bro what

I wasn't bluffing either. I've already preclosed my FD, redeemed the money and moved everything out. I also had an IPO applied through this account so that money is currently blocked. I transferred whatever remaining money I could to another account and once the IPO money is unblocked I'll close this account too.

And honestly, after thinking about it, I started asking myself why am I even trying so hard to build a relationship with Slice?

This card isn't some crazy premium card. It's just a good card.

And when I'm thinking long term, banks are not only about credit cards. Tomorrow I might need a home loan, car loan, personal loan, investments, FD, insurance or other banking products.

As of now, Slice doesn't offer the same kind of complete banking ecosystem that the bigger banks offer.

So if I'm going to maintain money, use FDs and build a relationship with a bank, I'd rather do it with a bank that can actually offer me more products as my financial needs grow.

I already have ₹2L ICICI limit, ₹4L Axis limit and ₹2L SBI limit. I'd rather build my relationship with these banks going forward.

So my advice: don't just build a banking relationship with a small finance bank because you are hoping to get one particular credit card. Think long term.

Big banks like ICICI, Axis, HDFC, SBI etc have credit cards, home loans, car loans and a much wider range of products.

The Slice card is good, but it's not good enough for me to keep all my banking relationships there when I can't even get a proper answer for a simple rejection.

Not asking for special treatment.

Not asking them to approve my card.

Just tell the customer the reason for rejection.

Bye bye slice!!

Slice keeps rejecting me for credit card and I am honestly frustrated

I am a slice customer from 2024 almost 2 years now

I had taken a loan from slice and repaid everything fully and closed the loan account around 1 year back mainly because I wanted to get the credit card

I usually keep around 30-50k MAB and I already have ICICI cards with 1 lakh and 1.4 lakh limits, SBI with 75k limit

I am a student and whenever I apply for slice credit card its getting instantly rejected

What is actually frustrating is I see many people getting approved with much less relationship with slice

My friend literally used to keep around 200-400 balance and he got approved with 80k limit and now his limit is enhanced to 1.5 lakh

And me after being a customer for almost 2 years taking a loan and repaying it fully and maintaining decent balance still getting rejected

I know many people will say bro its just a credit card let it go 😂 but thats not really the point

I actually like the spending benefits (up to 2% cashback) and slice in 3 and the sparks are also useful for me so I wanted this card specifically

I mailed them also and they just said they cant tell one specific reason and will notify me whenever I become eligible to reapply

Honestly getting tired of this and thinking to just close my slice account

Anyone else facing the same thing share your experience because I really want to know what slice is actually looking for
