Need help with understanding Slice Credit Card transaction charges with IRCTC

Need help with understanding Slice Credit Card transaction charges with IRCTC

I booked a railway ticket on IRCTC app worth 1465 and after adding IRCTC convenience fee and travel insurance the total cost was 1500.85.

However an amount of 1532.73 was debited from my Slice bank credit card. I think this was PG(Payment gateway charges), please confirm if it was.

why was the extra 31.88 rs debited as PG charges? Since slice bank Credit card terms mention 2% charges on railway ticket booking ONLY over 25k cumulative in a billing cycle, and this is my first payment from the credit card. Will this extra PG amount be refunded, when my first statement is generated ?

Has anyone used Kotak811 super account?

In kotak811 app, it is showing upgrade to Super account and get 5% cashback upto 500 every month with their debit card on online and POS payments.

The annual fee is 499. This sounds like a good offering, I am wondering if there is any catch to this?

If anyone is using this, pls share your experience.

Is there a way to get CB on slice CC bill payment?

Recently got the slice cc and made some purchases. However, I am unable to link this to any bill payment system. How are you all paying your slice cc bills? Even a 1% cashback on this bill would help me save a lot. Thanks!

Is it worth holding Slice Monies for higher cashback tiers, or better to redeem early?

I’m a relatively new Slice user and wanted to get some opinions from people who’ve been using it longer.

I currently spend around ₹15k/month through Slice, and at this pace it could take me close to 2 years to accumulate 3 lakh Monies for the 1.5% cashback tier.

My concern is: what if Slice changes the redemption value later? Right now 100 Monies = ₹1, but they could devalue it anytime, reduce rewards, or change the tier structure.

So I wanted to ask experienced users here:

Do you redeem Monies regularly?

Or do you keep accumulating for higher cashback tiers?

Got Slice Credit Card

Opened slice account day before yesterday
And applied for card yesterday,
Slice was quite generous with the limit.

Had Applied from a referal and had shared documents for income that it pulled by itself.

Had opened as wanted to close my Airtel axis rupay card post devaluation.

Atoms ⚛️

Anyone else think Slice “Atoms” might just be smart savings buckets?

My guess is:
- create multiple mini savings spaces inside one account
- separate money for things like travel, rent, emergency fund, gadgets, etc.
- maybe auto-save small amounts into each one

The “what if there were 10?” teaser made me think they’ll allow multiple buckets/goals.

Honestly sounds useful if they keep the same daily interest on all balances.

Would actually use this if it launches properly. Curious what everyone else thinks “Atoms” is supposed to be.

I am finally using it

I wasn't thinking of using my credit card but i thought why not use it as i will be able to pay most of it if i know what to do but i have some question.

  1. How do you use slice in 3 is there an option before buying or does it always apply?

  2. Is there a way to limit/cap my spends through credit card.

  3. Is it important to use 30% because i mostly use about 3000 a month and about half of it are spends on petrol.

Slice Surcharge was more than the txn

I did an add money of 1 rs on my phonpe account. Just for testing. Today the statement came. They charged me surcharge of 10 rs. I went through their MITC and they were following their t&c only. And thats ok. But charging, 11.80 rs for 1 rs. What is it....

Got rejected twice!

So, I applied for the Slice credit card back in November, and it got rejected. Later, after going through some Reddit posts, I learned that maintaining a good balance in the Slice savings account might help. So, I maintained around ₹50–60k in the account, and today I finally got the reapply option.

I’m a student with a CIBIL score of 772. During the application process, it asked for either my college ID, marksheet, or fee receipt. I proceeded with the marksheet. However, it asked me to upload both the front and back sides of the marksheet, but my college only provided a front-side marksheet. So, I uploaded the same front-side image for both sections.

Unfortunately, my application got rejected again. I have a good CIBIL score and maintained a decent amount in the savings account, so I honestly don’t understand what the issue is.

Should I try mailing the nodal officer? Please help.
