I’ve Been Dreaming About a Place for 6 Years… Then I Accidentally Found It IRL

I’ve had this recurring dream on and off for probably the last 5–6 years.

It’s always the same type of place: an outdoor entertainment/shopping area at night with bright lights, open walkways, restaurants, staircases, palm trees, neon signs, people everywhere, etc. In the dreams I’m usually running around this place trying to get somewhere, and the layout always feels weirdly familiar and specific.

A few days ago, my family and I were on our way to Disneyland when we passed by this outdoor area near the parks. I remember looking over at it and immediately getting this insane feeling of familiarity. Like… “why do I know this place?”

I had never been there before, so it threw me off instantly.

The more I looked at the outside of it, the more unsettled I got because I suddenly realized: this is the place from my dreams.

When I got a chance, I looked it up on Google and found out it was Anaheim GardenWalk. Then I started scrolling through pictures of it online and my stomach genuinely dropped because it matched the place I’ve been dreaming about for YEARS.

Same vibe. Same layout. Same atmosphere.

What freaks me out is that I had never knowingly seen this place before in my life. I’ve never walked through it, never visited it, nothing. Yet somehow it’s been showing up repeatedly in my dreams for years.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? Dreaming about a specific real location long before actually discovering it existed?

I genuinely can’t stop thinking about it.

I recognized a place I had never been to before… and I can’t explain why

For the last 5–6 years, I’ve had a very specific recurring setting/scenario constantly appear in my head on and off.

It’s always the same type of place: an outdoor entertainment/shopping area at night with bright lights, open walkways, restaurants, staircases, palm trees, neon signs, people everywhere, etc. The layout always felt strangely familiar and detailed, and in these recurring scenarios I’m usually running around trying to get somewhere.

A few days ago, my family and I were on our way to Disneyland when we passed by this outdoor area near the parks. I looked over at it and instantly got this overwhelming feeling of familiarity.

Like… “why do I know this place?”

I had never been there before, which is what made it so unsettling.

The more I looked at the outside of it, the more I realized this was the exact place that has repeatedly appeared in my mind for YEARS.

Later, I looked it up online and found out it was Anaheim GardenWalk. Once I started scrolling through photos of it, my stomach genuinely dropped because it matched almost perfectly — the atmosphere, the walkways, the lighting, the overall vibe.

What freaks me out is that I had never knowingly seen this place before in my life. Never visited it, never walked through it, nothing.

Yet somehow it felt deeply familiar the second I saw it.

Has anyone else experienced something like this before? Recognizing a place you’ve never actually been to?

We want to celebrate my husbands birthday at the Prado for an evening. Bbq, sports, lounge in our tents & just have a chill day. Are we required to get any permits to bring our bbqs or canopy’s ? Is there a time limit ? Can we bring alcohol ? What are the restrictions . Can’t seem to find anything 😭

Thanks in advance 🤍

I’m on week 3 of sleep training! Everything has been going smoothly, we’re taking it slow but we’ve see so much improvement.. until the last couple of days..

The last 3 days he’s been waking up at 6am .. yesterday he woke at 5:50 am… not sure what caused this huge shift .. he went from a wake time of 7/7:30 to 5:50/6am.

Naps have changed aswell since the early wake ups.. naps are at 9:30 or 10am for about 40-45 min but I try saving it so that he at least gets 1 hr

Nap2 is at 2 or 2:30 & again naps for about 40-45 min but I try saving it for a 1hr nap. Then bedtime ranges anywhere between 6:50-7:10 pm.

He turned 9 months on the 20th of April.

Anyone have any ideas ? It’s hard to stick to a consistent schedule when it seems something always shifts.
