Worth fixing? Or buy different bike?

Please let me know if these photos are not helpful!

I was on the lookout for a bike and someone was sweet enough to give me a Novara Carema 3FB for free. I believe it is a 2015 bike and it looks like she has been storing it outside. The leather seat is cracked and the handlebars are cracked and I’m not really sure how bad the other parts are, it looks like the chain is rusted. I need to give it a bit of a wash.

Is it worth my money to fix this bike, or should I just get a new(er) bike? I sort of want to start cycling relatively soon. I’m not looking to be a super athlete or anything like that, I just live in a really nice place where I would like to get outside and get some movement in. I’m not even sure if this bike would be a good fit for me, geometry wise, whatever that means.

TIA!!

G1 is sold out…what’s the next best thing?

will they remake it? make a different version? I’m on the lookout for a bike. I’ll primarily be riding on the roads but don’t want to worry about a popped tire or going onto gravel if I need to. Under 5’5”. Looking for something around that price range, whether that’s new or I look for it used.

also—does weight matter THAT much for a beginner? just looking for casual rides for extra cardio. Saw that the g1 was 30lb and some were saying that’s heavy.

TIA!!

I use Kaplan QBank (with Training Consultants textbook) and I'm trying to take an exam every day this week, reviewing every question immediately. How can I improve my scores?? TIA

Bid and ask??

I’m getting confused. Some resources are telling me you buy at the ask and sell at the bid. Others say you sell at the ask and buy at the bid.

Can someone please straighten out what it actually is? Or if it’s vice versa for different situations? I don’t want to get the answer wrong on something so simple.

here is an explanation that Kaplan gave on an exam question: The bid is the price within a quote that an investor sells for. Ask and offer are the terms used for the price for purchasing a security.

but then I see people saying “B in Buy = Bid, S in Ask = Sell”

TIA

Induction plate that doesn’t hurt my ears????

I have a Duxtop induction plate and it works fine but the high pitched ringing hurts my ears so much I have to put ear plugs in the whole time it’s running.

I understand it depends on the weight of the cookware, and my pan makes the cooktop ring less than my pot, but are all stovetops going to be this troublesome??? I really want to switch to electric but I don’t know if my landlords will let me. TIA

In the past few months, I was stacking 3 pillows with the top one being vertical to create an incline. I even put pillows underneath my knees,. it was a pretty aggressive height and did wonders for my symptoms but it screwed my lower back up.

I just bought a 7inch incline wedge underneath my mattress to create a full incline rather than just my upper body, but realistically it only created an overall elevation of a few inches. I tried to stick a pillow underneath my mattress to increase the height in addition to the wedge but Its still not enough.

I don't really know what to do? I've thought about those 'zero gravity' wedge pillows to get my head elevated higher again, but I don't want to hurt my back. And I'm not sure if sleeping at a steep angle is good for my leg circulation either.

I would love to get some advice. TIA!!
