Ordering to the UAE? And opinions on WinWing?

Hey Folks,

I'm looking to replace my Thrustmaster Airbus TCA since I'm having the famed rudder twitch issue. Instead of replacing the joystick I am thinking of getting a full set of Winwing gear, Throttle metal, Ursa Minor, MCDU and FCU+L.

First question, has anyone ordered to the UAE before? Their shipping costs are rather high around $140-150 If I can get it all in one order, however things on pre-order then cost double shipping so timing is defo important.

I'm also surprised by the comments in the sub, I thought it was currently the gold standard for Airbus kit, but I'm seeing quite a lot of disappointing comments.

Do I just replace my Thrustmaster Airbus TCA to tide me over?

Project Carga - Development update & Beta

Hey r/EuroTruck2

Previous Post in r/ETS2 : https://www.reddit.com/r/ETS2/comments/1tphjx7/project_carga_connecting_flight_sim_and_truck_sim/

You may have seen in r/ETS2 I posted a few months back about Project Carga, an application I’ve been building that connects ETS2 and Microsoft Flight Simulator into one shared cargo network.

I’ve mostly been posting development updates in Discord since then, but we’re now getting close to a closed beta, and I’d really like to get more ETS2 players involved to help put it through its paces before launch. (Links below)

For anyone who missed the original post, Project Carga lets players take cargo jobs, move freight between depots and airports, unlock trade regions, follow live market rates, and appear on a shared live map alongside other drivers and pilots.

A few things that have been added or improved recently:

  • Trade regions and licences
  • Live markets, where each region pays differently and rates update daily
  • Shared hubs between ETS2 and MSFS locations
  • Live map tracking for both trucks and aircraft
  • Leaderboards
  • Improved user dashboard
  • Groundwork for possible American Truck Simulator support in future

If that sounds interesting, you can find the Discord link here:
https://waitlist.projectcarga.app/

And the beta form is here if you’d rather not use Discord:

Happy to answer any questions in the comments too.

Project Carga - Development update & Beta

Hey r/MicrosoftFlightSim,

A few things that have been added or improved recently:

  • Companion App stability testing
  • Live map tracking for aircraft and trucks
  • Shared hubs between MSFS and ETS2 locations
  • Trade regions and licences
  • Live markets, where each region pays differently and rates update daily
  • Leaderboards
  • Improved user dashboard
  • Better recovery around MSFS / SimConnect edge cases during longer flights
  • Groundwork for possible American Truck Simulator support in future

The recent MSFS work has mostly been around stability: handling longer flights, simulator reloads, reconnects, and edge cases where SimConnect behaves differently depending on aircraft or add-ons. Not the most glamorous work, but important for stability.

Project Carga: connecting flight sim and truck sim through a shared platform

For a long time I’ve patiently waited for someone to come along and create a shared platform that combines both Flight Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Well, I got impatient and decided to do it myself.

So here I am, some many months and late nights later, at the point where I feel it’s ready to announce to the world... or at least Reddit. But that’s close enough.

The short version: Project Carga is a logistics platform for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Jobs move cargo between depots and airports. ETS2 players keep airports supplied from local depots, and pilots fly that cargo out into the wider network.

The slightly longer version:

Project Carga is built around a shared cargo network. Depots and airports have storage levels, and the jobs players take change the state of that network. If cargo is moved into an airport by road, it can then be flown out by pilots. If airports or depots start running low, the dispatch board and live map reflects that.

The idea is to give both flying and driving a connected purpose, and to bring the two communities together.

The companion app, which connects to both MSFS and ETS2 and handles job tracking in the background. For ETS2 and MSFS, it reads simulator telemetry so jobs can be followed through to completion. For flight simmers, SimBrief is supported directly within the dispatch board.

I’ll be inviting a small number of people into small-scale testing sessions in coming months ahead of public release. The aim of these sessions is purely to gather feedback and understand where I can improve the product.

https://waitlist.projectcarga.app/

I’ve compiled a handful of FAQ-style questions that I would probably be asking myself if I was reading this fresh. I’ll add those in the comments.

If you have any questions, thoughts, or feedback, I’d genuinely welcome it. I’ll answer as much as I can.
