Bitcoin Brainwash

You don’t need to self custody your Bitcoin in order to obtain the benefits of the price appreciation. “Not your keys not your coins”…shut up nerd.

  1. The crypto space outside of Bitcoin is dying. Nobody cares about your doo doo coin with no use case.

  2. The dollar is going to continue to be used as a medium of exchange for a long time.

  3. Self custody is complicated and now apparently risky even if you did everything “correctly”

  4. People will pick safety and convenience over self sovereignty any day.

  5. Institutions are going to end up controlling 99% of all Bitcoin.

Bitcoin and It’s Future

The Cold Card incident is a pretty big deal. I can see people move to custodial services to holding their coins. Yet at that point why not buy an ETF or the stock market which is insured and you’re not going to lose your funds.

I have a large amount of money I was planning on investing into bitcoin towards the end of the bear market but I’m worried about how I’d store it.

1st year as an outpatient ortho PT

My clinic is the definition of a mill clinic. My schedule is capped at 18-19 patients a day with 4 evals. I feel like my brain is running 24/7.

I hardly have any free time outside of work because I’m trying to finish my documentation. I didn’t expect this at all when I started my job. I hardly have time to learn anything new anymore which is sad but I don’t have time. Just running on autopilot.

Anyone else ever feel like this before? I might have to switch settings in the near future.

Anyone else have the yips?

I got them first in high school as a catcher. I couldn’t throw the ball back to the pitcher for the life of me. I would either spike it in the ground or throw it 10 feet over the pitcher’s head.

I ended up switching to outfield and played a couple years in college because I was a good hitter.

I’m 27 now with a full time job and living a good life. I tried playing catch recently and still struggle throwing a baseball with no pressure at all. What I’ve discovered through research is that the “yips” can start as a psychological problem, but then turn into a neurological problem.

The scientific term for the yips is a task specific muscle dystonia. Other examples of this are writers cramps and musician dystonia.

Unfortunately there is no cure. Although stress and anxiety can definitely amplify the issue.

If I drink a lot of alcohol I can throw the ball great because it relaxes my nerves system. But I don’t advise you get drunk before you play lol.

As a kid baseball was my identity and getting the yips consumed me. If you’re struggling with this issue just know it’s gonna be alright there’s a lot more important things in life.

How to get better at patient rapport?

I feel like this is an often a very overlooked skill, yet can be very helpful especially in an outpatient setting, which is where I’m working. Having good patient rapport and communication can be very helpful to get patient buy-in and develop trust.

I’m about 1 year into my PT career and my patient communication skills have definitely improved yet I still feel like I have room for improvement here.

Thoughts on Telehealth PT?

I’m currently working in an outpatient ortho setting. Just wanted to see if anyone has done any Telehealth work before and what the pros and cons are.
