What encounters/ problems do you have in Benilde you wish could be improved?

This is a survey to help me with my communications class. Are there any problems you've encountered that you wish could be improved, no matter how trivial they are?

Is it worth choosing Business Intelligence and Analytics over Accountancy? Which is better career-wise? Especially here in the PH.

Is it worth choosing De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde's BS Business Administration Major in Business Intelligence and Analytics (100% tuition and fees + monthly stipend)

over

University of the Philippines - Los Banos's BS Accountancy?

I think I know it to myself that I'm going to Benilde but can any of you actually give me your opinion on this and how it really would be for my career? Influence me please.

I've done a little research and here's how I see it

📌 BS Accountancy (UPLB) is a traditional, respected path that leads to a clear route: CPA → Audit Firm → Corporate Finance/Accounting. It’s stable, structured, and has prestige. But it’s also rigid, stressful, and the skillset is becoming increasingly automated. Plus, it takes longer to graduate and leaves very little room for side hustles or freelance work during college.

📌 BSBA-BIA (Benilde) is forward-looking. It teaches you SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, predictive modeling, and data storytelling—on top of business foundations like accounting, finance, marketing, and strategy. You don’t just learn what the numbers are; you learn how to analyze them, visualize them, and use them to drive decisions.

🎯 For me, the dealbreaker was this: I want a career that’s flexible, high-paying, globally mobile, and future-proof. Accountancy gives you stability. BIA gives you options—you can work in finance, tech, retail, healthcare, consulting, or even start your own business. And with the scholarship covering 100% tuition + monthly stipend, I’m graduating debt-free and earlier (3 years vs 4–5 years).

Are scholars allowed to participate in exchange student opportunities?

Like I know we are required to render service hours, will that be compromised or such?

Benilde BS BA-BIA (SMIT)

Hello! Incoming frosh here! Planning to take BS Business Administration major in Business Intelligence and Analytics here at Benilde! I've always been very interested in tech and finance. However, I do not have much experience in coding/ programming.

- Can someone please vouch for how good the program is?

- Does this program have heavy workload? How? and what are usually the requirements/ projects/outputs that are done?

- Is this prog manageable and does it have great career opportunities (before and after grad)?

- Is it right that this prog is a 3 - year program? What do you think are the pros and cons?

- Would you say it is worth it, overall?

Please help me! I would love to receive some advice! Thank you in advance! ^^
