Layoffs in next few weeks

Heard rumblings of a few thousand layoffs coming in next few days, mostly in corporate office.

Sad to see this not stopping despite record earnings!

Resigned during leave but slapped with an investigation letter

I worked for one of the big 5 banks. I was on short term disability and decided to resign for personal reasons.
Today, my ex manager sent me a letter saying there was an investigation going on against me while I was on disability leave, and they concluded that I breached code of conduct and are making me “ineligible for rehire”.
They highlighted that I was engaged in other business activity (I have side business).
What are my rights here?
I never claimed EI benefits or insurance benefits through my employer.
Since I resigned, are they going to mention this “resigned during investigation” on my ROE as fired with cause? Or comments that will make me ineligible for future employment with other banks during background checks?
Do I have any rights here to challenge them? Or I shall just let it go?

Edit: I had closed my side hustle last year and I went on disability a month ago. So I didnt do any insurance fraud. I never claimed EI or disability benefits. And don’t plan to either.

My question is only about if them sending me this letter will hurt my future employment with other banks?
