My Boy @hobbyseidai on Twitter, straight up creating Metabee out of random parts from Bandai's 30MM kits!

Holy shit this kit needed WAY more paint work than I expected, and I dreaded going back to it when I finally got some free time. For reference, the 4th image is what it looks like without any stickers (not my build), and the only stickers I used were for the sensors, since my paints came out very dark. (Last pic)
Looking back, I should've gotten SDCS instead, but it did teach me a LOT. Now to go brainrot myself on Blokees Eva kits...
Finally got around to getting a better AR after 6 years of getting my first AR, and just finished and shot my new build.
Daniel Defense DDM4V7 upper on an Aero M4E1 lower; got the optics on sale LONG before deciding on color hence the mismatch. Also debossed it before deciding on a milspec looking upper, so I'm redoing the red to be white as we speak.
Anyone with a black Primary Arms SLX 1x want to trade for an FDE one? 😂
I'm also probably going to redo the debossing to be white instead of red; was not fully decided on a DD upper when I did them lol
Parts list:
Just snagged one after agonizing over which upper to get and figured I'd get this over BCM (which was a VERY difficult choice) - Says only 2 left (which is also what mine said) but they have more FDE in stock if you prefer!
Perks of taking some time off - I can go hunting kits during weekdays before you savage animals buy them all out!
Major props to Bandai for their MONSTROUS color separation; the main body barely needed any work and the painting was mostly for the gold accents.
Could've made'em a bit cleaner but with the amount of cleanup I already had to do.... and how long this was already taking... I ran out of energy. It was fun trying out all of the techniques I've been picking up recently and going from straight builds to full color correction.

Why are 30MM AC kits so prone to joint breakage 😭
I've only had this happen to Milk Tooth and now Melander...
Where'd I put my fucking drill set... Sigh
Trying to get better at painting in general, and I THINK I'm still improving! I might consider painting the inner face/head metallic red so it "glints through" the helmet slit.... 🤔
