Customer didn’t complete delivery instructions!

Customer didn’t give me their unit number for their building. They were tipping $36, total order was $44. As I was wrapping up shopping I looked up his address in maps and saw it was a building so messaged them for their unit number. No reply. Ten minutes later I get to the building, I call, tell them I’m outside and can’t get in because you left no info to access your unit. I wait a few minutes. I message them repeatedly (keep in mind this building has no elevator, there are 4 floors with multiple flights of steps. They had 5 decent size bags and paper towels. So I say, these people are tipping a decent amount let me just press random tenants on the call box. Someone actually lets me in, so I say great. I get to the unit that let me in and they said they didn’t order anything they thought I was someone else. So I call again. No answer. It’s pushing 20 minutes at this point. So I just leave their groceries in the lobby take a pic and leave. 15 minutes later they reduce my tip from $36 to $12…. Bad start to the day.

Sucks we can’t drop orders anymore

Is it me or is instacart tacking very heavy low/no tip orders to decent/good tipping orders more and more. It’s been slow so I quickly grabbed a 52 for 3. I know the first customer and they ordered the most stuff he usually tips around 30-35. And I saw the other customers had 1 item for 5 units and another had 4 items for 7 units and I was like no big deal. Come to find out it was 8 40 packs and 2 24 packs between the two other customers. The total tip for 3 orders was $37. So the other two customers ordered all that wanted me to deliver to their building (both of which had no elevator, they said it in the instructions) for basically nothing. I hate that we can no longer drop individual orders. Had to drop it completely. $52 is not enough for me to break a real sweat for this job and risk injury. Crazy.

Wtf even is Opus 5?!

When they removed Fable from the pro plan I switched to the $100 GPT sol (and it’s great) but I ran out of weekly usage and am in a middle of a project so with my last bit of usage, I told codex to write a detailed doc of the how to steps to keep my project moving forward. I thought, “what could go wrong? Opus 5 is supposed to be just as capable once it has the in depth how text to work off of, it should be seamless.” Nope. Absolutely not. Within less than 45 minutes it did a different version of the instructions because it thought it knew better then proceeded to muddle my repo. It’s recoverable, but holy shit. Opus 5 is terrible (at least for quant finance). 1/5 do not recommend

Abandoned houses in LA

Any body familiar with any affordable (dare I say, free) ‘abandoned houses’ that could pass for haunted? that could be used to shoot? It’s a short, and nothing crazy at all. . Los Angeles is where it’d shoot.

Promos are worthless*

If you live in a state with guaranteed earnings, and do instacart consistently, promos mean literally nothing. They’re just giving you the money you would’ve gotten on Thursday and wrapped it for you as a promo. Only way to actually make extra money is when returning alcohol and medication. Promos=bad, bumps for returns=good. I feel like I have to explain that a lot to shoppers who chase promos then get upset when their Thursday payout is lower than they thought it’d be.

If you don’t live in state with guaranteed earnings, take the promos! Carry on.

Was robbed of batch pay

Got unicorn, instacart refuses to pay batch payment. They’re ghosting me when I reach out. Has this ever happened to anyone?
