how to start doing a peptidomimetic drug design project for the first time

Hey there, i am entering the field of bioinformatics for the first time, and ive gotten really interested in peptidomimetic inhibitors, and i want to learn how to get started with it. i have a potential interaction i want to look at, but i have no clue how or where to start, can someone help me?

so far i have downloaded the pdb files of my target and another protein interacting, and have tried using pymol to take a look at them and see the hotspots, and also ran some alanine scanning mutagenesis from some online server to see if the hotspots track, but it feels SUPER vibey and wrong

How to start studying for med

Hi guys, so I am basically one of the VERY VERY FEW people that I know who got into med who didnt disrupt their NS, and I am really fomowing very very hard after looking at all the stories that my friends alr in medschool posted about rag and whitecoat...

so basically i am trying to do some prereading, so i feel a bit more useful and dont get brainrotted while im at ns. i got my svc medic vocation so i am basically doing nothing all day everyday, and i want to study a bit.

its just that i went through the syllabus, and 'foundations of medicine' makes no sense to me, like lowk what they teaching bruh 💀

can anyone help me please? (i also feel very paiseh to ask them for notes, i just want some direction, thats it)

(~$1.5k USD) i want to build a pc perfect for both gaming and work :D

  • New build or upgrade?
    • New build!!
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
    • Both for work and games. I would like to dual boot my pc, one with Arch Linux (for work), and Windows (for gaming)
    • For work, its mainly notetaking, a little bit of coding and ai, so nothing too deep
    • As for games, i would like to be able to run them at 1440p, at, well, not at the lowest graphics setting.
    • Some games I play, which run TERRIBLY on my current windows laptop, even taking :
      • RDR2
      • Rimworld
      • Satisfactory
      • Elden Ring
      • Baldur's Gate 3
      • Helldivers 2
  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
    • Singapore, we have a micro center equivalent (Sim Lim Square)
  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
    • Im not very good with knowing what refresh rate is good, and what resolution is good, but im satisfied with using my current monitor.
  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
    • ~2k SGD (around 1.5k USD)
  • WiFi or wired connection?
    • WiFi, but if that would make it more expensive to have, then wired is just fine by me
  • Size/noise constraints?
    • N/A
  • Color/lighting preferences?
    • wanted to do a little bit of RGB but im fine to cheap out here
  • Any other specific needs?
    • nah, i really dont know much about building pcs as this is my first one, and i have only used laptops my whole life, so please go easy on me 😆
    • water cooling or fan cooling? which is better?
