Solid win to start the R16
Could have gone like 5+, 6+ but well...

Hey everyone, I'm excited to watch the Whitecaps game at Swangard Stadium next week, but I'm also a little worried about the logistics.
I know Vancouver Rise plays there regularly, but I imagine this match will draw a much bigger crowd. For those who have attended games at Swangard before, how bad are parking, traffic, and SkyTrain access before and after the match? I'll be attending with my young daughter, so I'd like to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks!
Value punt. Expect cucurella to come higher and try at least one shot @.@
Any idea?
We need the win today. Not just for the tournament, but for the future.

Korea and Japan didn't turn 2002 into just a great memory. They used it to grow the sport for years. That's what I hope happens here.

A good run can create fans for life, inspire kids and help the sport keep growing. Let's make this the start of something bigger, not just a few weeks we'll look back on fondly!!

Wow. The ampitheatr renovation is honestly incredible. The place is absolutely buzzing for the Mexico game with so many Mexicans... and that's nothing compared to what's coming tomorrow...

So excited to come tomorrow as well.
It's going to be wild. Super excited!!!
As a Whitecaps fan, I'm familiar with the March to the Match before home games. A friend of mine mentioned that something similar might be organized for the Team Canada match next Thursday.
Does anyone have any information about this? I'd definitely be interested in joining if there's one planned.
Hi,
A few friends and I are hoping to catch one of the World Cup group stagr matches (not a Canada game) at Cactus Club Station Square.
I was wondering what it's like there for watching sports. Are there plenty of large TVs? How's the sound during games?
Also, when making a reservation, I can choose between the lounge and dining area. Which would you recommend for watching a match? A few of us will be bringing pre-teen kids as well, so would the lounge still be an appropriate option?
Thanks!
I was told superstore have them... went to the Marine Dr., but no luck. Any place in south Van/richmond/south Burnaby area?
Those presale tickets are selling out really fast..
Do you know if there will be additional seats available??? 6 per each season ticket holder seems too generous...
I’m at a local hockey tournament for my sons this weekend, and I’ve actually been surprised by how many Whitecaps jerseys I’ve seen around the arena. Maybe it’s because there’s a game today, maybe it’s people showing support and wanting to save the Caps… probably both.
Either way, it genuinely made me really happy. Feels like the club matters to people more than ever right now.
And yeah, I’ve been trying to wear my Whitecaps gear as much as possible these days too — just to show support in whatever small way I can.

So I cant travell to Mexico for the group stage games, so I bought M82 Seattle games as i think there is a good chance of them playing in Seattle what do you think? I mean Salah vs Son would be iconic....
Still cant believe they ended up playing in Mexico...
Hey everyone, I've been trying to identify a song I heard on a marathon playlist and I can't get it out of my head.
Here's everything I remember:
Genre/vibe: Upbeat jazz/blues/soul feel — similar energy to Ray Charles' "Unchain My Heart"
Tempo: Fast and upbeat, definitely not a slow ballad
Era: Feels classic and familiar, somewhere between the 60s and early 2000s
The key detail: The word "pain" is repeated in the chorus as a hook — something like "do~ pain" with a melodic phrasing before it
Lyrical theme: The lyrics are about someone causing pain to the singer — like "you do pain (to me)" or "you give me pain." What made it memorable was that it's an upbeat, almost fun-sounding song but the lyrics are about being hurt by someone.
(Disclaimer: I was running a marathon when I heard this, so my memory might not be 100% reliable — take everything above with a grain of salt!)
Any ideas? Thanks!!
It’s becoming pretty clear the owners want to sell and MLS wants Vegas. A deal betwen the BC government and the current owner group alone doesn’t feel realistic....
The only real path is a local investor stepping in, backed by all levels of government on a stadium solution.
So the focus shouldn’t be on pushing a direct deal with the current owners, but on showing strong fan support so new investors can step in with confidence — and government has reason to support them? What do you think?
