AITBF for regretting the gift I gave to my friend?
I, 25 year old women, gave my friend a book gift yesterday that I prepared in about an hour.
My friend, text me that she wanted to meet me urgently a few days back. I was excited to meet her as we were meeting after a year and a half. So I agreed and started preparing a cute book gift that I usually give to her. It was a tradition of sorts us.
When I met her later in the day, (in a restaurant ) she told me that she was going abraod for studies. I was so happy for her and I gave her the gift. However, she dismissed my gift and placed it on the table as if it was nothing. I didn't give it any mind as we were too busy talking. However, when we were leaving after using the restroom, I saw it on our table. Mind you we had our belongings in our hands when we went to the restroom. I told her to take it which she did.
We parted ways after shopping. Usually she would text me about her review of my gift when she gets back home and tell me if she likes my gift but it has been 3 days with no response. I feel stupid tbh. And I am starting to regret it. AITBF
