I’m planning a trip to the San Diego area in October using points. Planning for a six night trip, activities will include hiking, going to the zoo, and relaxing (pool or beach). I’m debating staying at the Grand Hyatt only or splitting the stay between Grand Hyatt and Mission Pacific in Oceanside, three nights at each. I will have a rental car. Is it worth it to change hotels when they are only 45 minutes apart? Or is a day trip up the coast enough? Any insight would be appreciated!
