Eye edema and severe eye discomfort
Anybody else have cyclical eye swelling and general discomfort/inflamed feeling around your eyes during or around your period or ovulation? I have seen so many specialists and my current reproductive endo thinks my body is just extremely sensitive to fluctuations in hormones. Currently trying to stabilize the fluctuations through combined birth control . I’m on week 10 of taking it continuously but still having symptoms. Wondering if anybody has experienced similar symptoms or has any advice ?
Symptoms (usually days 14/15 to day 5 of my period)
\- eye edema
\- extreme discomfort under eye area
\- eye dryness
\- insomnia
\- extremely lethargic
\- brain fog
\- moody and irritable around period
Specialist and things I have ruled out
\- nephrologist , kidneys are healthy
\- thyroid, TED labs all normal
\- negative for hereditary angio-edema
\- ANA negative
\- seen multiple allergists , I have no allergies and my progesterone skin patch test was normal
\- vision and wyes are healthy but being followed by ocular plastic surgery incase hormonal birth control isn’t effective in stabilizing symptoms they may want to do a biopsy
