I witnessed a man physically assault his small child and reported it to 101 on Thursday. The call handler said he would arrange for someone to visit the house (the incident was in the garden so I knew the address)

This morning I have received a text to say either an officer or investigator will phone me. Would they update me if they weren't taking it further? I'm a bit anxious about what they found and don't know what to expect. Thank you!

Will you be cycling this week? Just looking at the forecast and Wednesday is 39 in Bristol. Not sure I'll cope but cycling is my transport to work!
