what can i start to make my application stronger?

i just finished my freshman year with a 2.6 GPA. I got 2 C’s, 1 B, and 1F second semester with 3 A’s and 2B’s first semester, dropping my 3.45 to a 2.6. I do realized that I seriously slacked off this year and there is no one to blame but me for not putting in the work. I’m planning on joining a lot of medical clubs and extracurriculars next semester, but outside of school i am not sure what to do. i applied for scribe positions and MA positions since im certified, but im having a really hard time getting accepted. i am getting ready to start cardiology shadowing soon, so hopefully this will give me some experience.
i’ve read a lot of posts about an upward trend in my grades, and if i calculated correctly, i can get to a max GPA of 3.37 if i get straight A’s in the rest of my classes. what should i do?

study methods recommendations?

i just completed my first year of undergrad and i’m really struggling. i try to study but i struggle a lot because i feel like im just wasting my time and not actually reviewing any information. especially for classes like calculus I and chem i struggle. i’m also worried for other classes that are very information heavy. i like doing pomodoro to help keep me in a rhythm, but does anyone have any suggestions?
