Disappointing experience with the security at 101 Pub
I had a really disappointing experience at 101 Pub last night.
My friends came to visit me in Limerick, and we were a group of five. We were all well-dressed and had planned to watch the match there. When we got to the entrance, the security staff refused us entry.
What made it even more frustrating was that while we were standing there, we watched around 10–15 other people being allowed in ahead of us. When I politely asked why we were being refused, the bouncer kept repeating the reason in a language I didn’t understand (it sounded like Polish). I asked several times if he could explain it in English, but he simply continued speaking in the same language without giving me a clear explanation.
I spent around 10 minutes trying to understand the reason before eventually walking away. I told him I would be sharing my experience online, and his response was simply, “Yeah, do whatever you want. Can’t let you in.”
I’ve been to 101 Pub many times before and have never had an issue, which is why this was so disappointing. I completely understand that security has the right to refuse entry, but the least customers deserve is a clear explanation in English and to be treated with basic respect.
Unfortunately, after this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning. Has anyone else had a similar experience there?
