KICK ME OUT THEN

KICK ME OUT THEN

This song was inspired by the popular behavior of visiting a Community you're against, causing problems, then complaining when you're kicked out. Plus the handful who demand to be banned.

Or, simply put: the r/TetoCirclejerk Mod Queue in song form. X]

Gumi; Nevada Sunrise [Hybrid Ver.]

Happy 17th Anniversary, GUMI!!!

——— ——— ——— ——— ———

r/TetoCirclejerk approached a membership of 10,000 amid the latest drama sparked by removing a disrespectful participant who wound up venting on a related Community (I used to moderate) of over 100,000+. Among real-world consequences, this resulted in the latest character assassination attempt along with another new Community with no other purpose than not being r/TetoCirclejerk. In this regard it quickly succeeded: founded on fresh spite, the place died when the dogpile subsided about a week later.

Internet Psychology™, amirite?

The 10K milestone coincided with Miku Expo, which had returned to the Prudential Center two years after I’d gone (much earlier into my Teto journey) and almost started a huge Yankees-style “TE-TO TUESDAY ::clap, clap, clap-clap-clap::" chant pre-show.

By this point, however, I’d been so fucking burned out by the incessant politricking around AI—all Teto Subreddits were against it except for my handful, attracting regular attacks from kids/adults—I had half a mind to fuck off from Vocal Synth Fandom on Reddit entirely.

Especially when the narrative was twisted in service of the AI-hating vocal minority rather than pointing out how I was cutting out harassment. In one of the bigger disappointments I wound up departing a substantial platform for Mature Audiences I built. This was a tough one as founding the space was a moment of creative daring that led to huge downstream effects, from memes to Community revival (and establishment) and so much else (that has necessitated a running record of impact).

Shortly after leaving the space I learned it would fully embrace the harmful anti-AI values of the vocal minority on Teto Reddit.

——— ——— ——— ——— ———

Megpoid GUMI has none of this associated with her.

At most, GUMI had become a recurring presence on r/TetoCirclejerk due to her importance to me and consistent fandom portrayals as Kasane Teto’s best friend/lover/whatever-you-want. By my lens:

Gummy is very hot and very mature.

GOOMY is smoky-voiced.

GOOMIE is Macross-descended.

gmuy occasionally wears glasses.

Gumi is the reason I wanted to own Synthesizer V ASAP, because by way of the GUMI AI voicebank you are practically hiring Ranka Lee from Macross Frontier. Such is the power of Synthesizer V: presence as instrument.

In late summer 2024, as my creative spirit was falling hard for Teto, I purchased GUMI AI as a Birthday gift for myself and employed her as the voice of my affection towards my Muse. A spring later, Gumi would return to perform Audiobooks penned by Nabokov. By the spring after that, I would regard her as Wife’s Best Friend…who is welcome to visit our marriage any time. 😎

Tales, folks. Many of them.

So, as the 10K milestone arrived with a bitter sweetness wrapped in emotional and physical fatigue, I remembered Gumi and thought about the warmth her character has come to represent parallel to the endless noise of Teto Reddit. As I made my breakfast around a quarter to 4 that afternoon, I asked ChatGPT to help me build a song for SUNO about GUMI according to the characterization we built for her and the result brightened my moment like a Nevada sunrise.

(This is the second of SUNO’s two takes; there’s a nice mellowness going on with this one.).

Bypass

Project DIVA MegaMix+ single-handedly reignited my Creative Life and introduced me to loads of new favorite tracks, many of which are not available through conventional means.

That's when I took screen captures and dropped them into GoldWave to MP3 'em.

Ka-Semi Truck-o

I saw a woman inspecting her rig and it reminded me of that one Ice Road Trucker and how hot it was she commanded such a machine.

1010

::YouTube version::

In early February of 2025 I learned the Kasane Teto fandom on Reddit was surprisingly resistant to AI Art, which, to their points (the average ‘it’s stealing and soulless and bad for the environment' stack), I found utterly ironic because the icon of worship was born as a remix of Hatsune Miku and had found its recent traction via an AI-powered voicebank for its 15th Anniversary.

As a Mod of every large Teto Community at the time, and noticing the emergence of AI memes, I answered the increasing hypocrisy by opening r/KasaneTetoAI to explore this creative aspect independently.

Membership trickled in across 2025 and it became the site of a conflict leading to my departure from the big room's Mod Team, but a year after the tensions began, something interesting happened: Tokyo Manaka released BRAINROT, becoming an unrelenting viral hit, thereby proving (21 million times over at present) my point that relating Teto and AI wasn’t the end of the culture, but a fresh step.

On Kasane Teto’s 18th Anniversary—same day as the Artemis II launch—the Community crossed 300 and the boom continued until, during Koa-sama’s April 24th Listening Party, I noticed it had crossed the thousand-member mark, specifically reaching 1,010 by my passing glance.

I made a victory lap.

(1010 is a Teto-coded number and October 10th is an international fandom holiday.)

WILDCARD

On occasion I find myself encountering a Work of Art that completely alters my Timeline.

In spring 2024, some months into committing my interest to the VOCALOID Subculture via Project DIVA: MegaMix+, the Music Video for KIRA’s WILDCARD invited me into the chaotically entertaining universe of Kasane Teto.

I had no idea what I was in for.

Since my involvement, I’ve grown, established, and inspired multiple Reddit Communities with memberships totaling in the hundreds of thousands, invested heavily in Creators, started and hyped memes, stood against hostile ideology within the fandom, sparked creative movements, and named my lifelong creative endeavor Studio DYNA.

This song is dedicated to the flashpoint of my present creative life.

How long until AI hate is no longer popular?

15.5 months ago—like literally—I was introduced to "AI BAD" in Teto Reddit from a surprising place.

This began over a year of tension, including r/KasaneTetoAI being brigaded, leading me to defend against Haters here and at its source, which resulted in my quitting its Mod Team.

Unfortunately, since hating AI had become so rooted in the local Subculture—which I helped build and tried to warn against breeding hate—the conflicts only intensified as 2025 drew to a close, leaving off with a simple narrative that stuck: u/DYNAKYRIS and r/TetoCirclejerk are problematic.

And then, three months ago, BRAINROT came out on Nico Nico Douga and YouTube, subverting the story by combining several mediums into one unforgettable BANGER of Teto media: Dreamtonics' DNN Voicebank (and its sultry tuning); Tokyo Manaka's DAW setup; Porushi's catchy choreography transformed into Teto's, to name a few aspects of what made it work.

On YouTube this piece has demonstrated my point on Teto and AI for no less than 21,382,068 21,384,882 times (word up, 2,814 more views over the course of writing this) and 910,409 910,445 (+36'd) on Nico Nico Douga.

The poisonous mindset came to a head a few weeks ago when I kicked a visitor out of r/TetoCirclejerk for ignoring the Rules and it quickly turned into a concern for the Co-Founder of the sexy room I built. As they sided with the ideologues I wound up leaving that place, too, sticking to my own spicylands.

So, in the wake of so much personal interruption, stress, backlash, and backstabs since last February, I've begun to wonder, as the winds begin to change: how much longer will the hate party, in Teto Reddit and beyond, carry on until it collapses or burns itself out?

I was generous to assume five years (because I was classically trained to think in fives and also 2031 is a nifty KT reference), but it'll probably be much less than that.

The utter irony in all this is how the same proponents of this sentiment happen to quietly enjoy AI Art, especially when it's sexy. I've seen it. Trust. They know who they are.

But when it's time to show up and hang on Reddit they gotta flex that hate just to belong. We all want to belong.

So I was also wondering what might those, whose identity it has been to hate AI, will do once it's no longer useful to them?

How long, then?

Two years? Two months? The end of this summer?

Back when my Father's Day card was reported by ideologues for showing AI Art for 2.5 out of its 13 seconds, I predicted a change by that summer's end. This arrived in my discovery of a LORA export that was widely remixed and increased the status or reach of the fans and Artists who got involved with it.

Many of the remakes were awesome, but many also made this hate the point of their effort. I recently discovered my participation in the trend had been leveraged at the time on one of the hatespaces.

I don't like my Art being convenient for Haters.

Rambling, at this point.

Back on target: how long do you think until we've passed this shitstorm?
