I got tired of paying Lightroom subscriptions just to sort my Fuji JPEGs, so I built my own app.
Hey everyone,
I used to be a professional photographer traveling the world shooting ballet. It was an amazing career, but now that I’m retired from the pro scene, my shooting habits have completely changed. I’ve dropped the heavy gear and now I exclusively shoot straight-out-of-camera with my Fuji (mostly chasing those perfect film simulation recipes).
Because I’m no longer doing massive RAW edits or client deliveries, I realized how crazy it is to keep paying expensive monthly fees for programs like Lightroom or Capture One just to cull, sort, and catalog my JPEGs.
I wanted a simple, lightweight tool without the bloat and without a license fee, so I decided to build my own. It’s called Proof.
It’s a straightforward cataloging and sorting solution designed for SOOC shooters who just want to organize their work without paying a monthly tax to Adobe.
I’m currently running it on a "set your own price" model. You can pay whatever you think is fair to help me cover the development fees and keep carrying on. No subscriptions, no catches.
You can check it out here: https://proof-photo.com
I’d love to hear feedback from fellow Fuji shooters to see how I can make this the perfect lightweight companion for a SOOC workflow. Let me know what you think!
