Long migraines

It shocked me to learn that the cutoff for status migrainous is 3 days. You mean to tell me that migraines that last LESS than 3 days exist??

I’ve yet to have one last less than 3 months (and yes I mean migraine not headache. Sound and light sensitivity to the point that I’m fully bedbound with the curtains drawn and earplugs, 8-10/10 pain no medication will touch, live with an ice pack attached to my head at all times)

And before anyone suggests getting on a preventative, I’m on 5 and have tried many others. Current regimen is Botox, Qulipta, oral Lidocaine, Depakote and Propranolol. I’ve also tried Nurtec, Ajovy, Aimovig and Emgality. I periodically get nerve blocks, steroid tapers, and infusions as well. I’ve been inpatient for DHE infusions 3 times this year

Does anyone else have months-long migraines that don’t seem to respond to anything?
