This wasn’t an experiment. But the answer is pearlweed

Just got back from a short vacation. Pearl-weed absolutely took over the tank my god.

Nitrates remain at 0 lol.

I highly recommend these

I bought some cable sleeve and these fancier stainless steel hose clamps. I think it made a huge visual improvement for less than buying new aquarium black hoses.

So... How much of a water gap do i need to make sure they dont run away

So i saw one of these guys at the LFS.. I thought it was so cool. i had room in my tank. every one would get along so i bought him and brought him home! I gave him some blood worms and watched as he periodically came up for air and was chillin on the surface...

But he wasn't in my tank when i got home.. I checked all my floors i can find em.

My girlfriend really liked him... so if i wanted to keep my lid less tank.. how mcuh space do i need between the water level and the top of the glass?
