Ontario OT Applications

Hi everyone! I plan on applying for my Masters in Occupational Therapy (Ontario) this Fall… again. I didn’t get in this upcoming cycle but I’m really trying to get at least one acceptance for next cycle.

If anyone has any advice or tips i’d truly appreciate it! For reference my subgpa is 3.8, my casper was 3Q, my background is in more education and aba therapy, and my personal statement was mainly about my experience of wanting to become an OT.

Pls any advice would be greatly appreciated!

MSW in Ontario

Hi everyone! I just graduated from university and I’m thinking about applying for my MSW at some schools in Ontario. I don’t have a BSW so i’ll have to do the 2 year route. Any advice for getting into schools? I’ve heard mixed things about the competitiveness and I’m worried i won’t get in.

For context, I have a 3.8 subgpa and a BASc in Child development. I’ve worked in social services, child cares and therapy clinics. Any advice to help my application id appreciate!

How do admissions work?

I’ve seen a lot of people on here share their subgpa, casper scores, and experience in the field, however it seems as though offers of admission are random.

For example, someone I know got into all the schools she applied to with zero OT experience, some else got in with a 3.5 subgpa and no experience, yet some have high gpa and experience and don’t get any offers.

I’m so confused on the process. Does anyone know why this happens?

How to stand out??

Hi all, i got rejected for my masters in occupational therapy in ontario, and was wondering how i can stand out for next years admission.

I come from an educational background so i have occupational therapy experience with kids, but what else should i do on top of that?

▲ 1 r/acne

F(22) I’ve had acne for the past 7 years now and i think i’ve tried almost everything! From visiting multiple professionals to juice cleanses, spending thousands of dollars on skincare, lessening my skincare products, differin, no diary or sugar…. literally tried it all. Nothing has helped me whatsoever. My acne is only on my cheeks and jaw (yes i’ve checked my hormones), and i do tend to get cystic acne as well. It honestly takes such a toll on someone to have reoccurring acne that hasn’t stopped for 7 years. Makeup doesn’t even cover it anymore. Anyone in a similar boat?
