Looking for feedback on a 2D mobile stealth-action game concept

Hi everyone!

I'm working on a concept for a 2D mobile stealth-action game, and I'd like to get some feedback before I start building the full game.

The basic idea is:

You play as a human imprisoned by a powerful technology company that is trying to turn humans into machines.

You start at the bottom of their facility and have to make your way upward through different floors to escape.

The gameplay would combine stealth and combat. There would also be a noise system, where making too much noise can alert nearby enemies.

Each floor would contain different rooms and enemies.

When reaching a new floor, the player could choose between:

- Entering an upgrade room and choosing between two random upgrades.

- Skipping the upgrade and fighting the floor boss instead, with a stronger upgrade as a reward.

The game is planned specifically for mobile, and I'm considering making it a small premium game rather than using ads.

I'm still in the early concept stage, so I'm mainly interested in hearing what experienced players think.

Does the core gameplay sound interesting?

What part sounds the most fun, and what part sounds weak or repetitive?

What would you change before developing it?

My frame-by-frame 2D animation looks choppy in Unity. How can I make it smoother?

Hey everyone!

I'm working on a 2D mobile game and I'm making my character animations frame-by-frame using individual images/sprites, not bones or rigging.

I currently have 12 hand-drawn frames for one animation, but when I put them together in Unity, the movement looks really choppy and doesn't feel smooth.

I'm still pretty new to 2D animation, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Could the problem be:

- The number of frames?

- The animation FPS / Samples?

- The spacing between the poses?

- Sprite import settings?

- Something in Unity's Animator?

What would you recommend I change or learn to make frame-by-frame 2D animation look smoother in Unity?

Also, what's a good workflow for creating frame-by-frame animations for a mobile game?

Any advice would be really appreciated. I'm trying to improve my animations before continuing with the rest of the game. Thanks!

My first premium sci-fi mobile game is finally available on Google Play 🚀

After months of development, I'm excited to finally release my first premium mobile game: Space Company: Aeonfract.

It's a sci-fi action experience with no ads, no energy system, and no pay-to-win mechanics. Just the complete game.

I created it as a solo indie developer and used AI assistance for some of the artwork because I couldn't afford a professional artist.

If you're looking for a premium sci-fi game on Android, you can find it here:

I spent months making this premium sci-fi mobile game. I'd love to hear what mobile gamers think.

Hi everyone!

After months of development, I finally released my first premium Android game: Space Company: Aeonfract.

It's a sci-fi action game with no ads or pay-to-win mechanics. I wanted to create a premium experience where you simply buy the game and play.

I also want to be transparent: I used AI assistance for some of the visual artwork because I couldn't afford to hire an artist. The gameplay, game design, progression, UI, balancing, and overall development were all created by me.

I'm not here just to promote it. I'd genuinely like to hear what mobile gamers think. What stands out to you? What would you improve?

I finally released my first indie sci-fi game. I'd love your honest feedback.

Hi everyone!

After months of work, I finally released my first premium mobile game: Space Company: Aeonfract.

I also want to be transparent about something. I used AI to create some of the visual artwork because I simply couldn't afford to hire an artist, and I don't have drawing skills. However, the gameplay, game design, progression, balancing, UI, implementation, and the overall development were all created by me.

This project has been a huge learning experience, and I'm already planning future updates and bigger games.

I'd genuinely appreciate honest feedback. Whether it's positive or critical, I'd love to know what you think about the visuals, gameplay, and overall presentation.
