Hi all,

We have a fairly large barn with an asbestos cement roof. An asbestos survey we had a few years ago concluded it was in OK condition and that we could leave it be.

Nice then I’ve noticed some slight deterioration, and in particular a section of roof where some sort of mud or fungus has appeared on the inside surface (see last photos). I’m concerned that this debris is falling on items below. Unsure what it is or whether it would contain significant asbestos fibres.

So my question to experts is whether you’d look into this further, or leave it be for now?

Hello all, I wonder if anyone could suggest how to fix my stair carpet? It’s come detached on a couple of steps which is pretty dangerous. I imagine I need some kind of staple to hammer into the carpet and the wood underneath. Anyone have a suggestion for an appropriate fix?
