Unpopular opinion: The new IG logo actually looks clean.
Is it just me, or is the hate for the new Instagram wordmark completely overblown? Looking at it, the tweak actually feels natural and clean while keeping that familiar script vibe intact.
People are acting like Meta dropped a total disaster, completely ignoring what an actual bad rebrand looks like. Just look at Kia making a logo so illegible that thousands ended up Googling "KN car," Porsche flattening their classic crest into a lifeless 2D decal, or Aston Martin tweaking theirs just enough to erase all its character—all before Jaguar wiped out its entire identity for a sterile placeholder.
Compared to actual visual downgrades like those, a subtle font adjustment is painless. Feels like people just reflexively rage the second any layout changes.
