How the hell does creche stuff work? And how do I get that government discount? I need a how to guide.
I have a 17 month old and she has been going to a childminder's house twice a week.
This childminder is not on any official list so I can't get any government refund but they are an official "company" i.e. they have a tax number etc.
But it's just a girl in her house with her own 2 year old son. It's not an actual professional operation.
I'm afraid I'm stunting my daughter's social skills by making her hang out with just one kid. I want her to experience more personalities.
Should I be sending my daughter to a creche? Or a montessori or whatever it's called? It's probably too late anyway because apparently I should have found a creche before I even dated her mother.
Or should I just find a childminder that takes care of more kids?
What should I do? I'm in Cork city if that matters.
I think I need a childminding / creche consultant. Like a mortgage broker, but for creches.
