Speakerphone in Public

Hey, some of y'all need to realize this: not everyone in a public place wants to hear your random phone conversations.

I am currently in Spitz to enjoy my lunch break and some dork is two booths behind me on speakerphone, *loudly* talking with a woman at a mechanic shop and *loudly* giving out personal information.

Don't do that shit lmfao.

I'm an entomologist and amateur photographer

Here are some photos I've captured during field work this season!

Differential Grasshopper, _Agapostemon_ bee, _Asilinae_ fly (robber fly species), _Bombyliidae_ fly (bee fly species), another robber fly, more Bee flies, a _Stratiomys_ fly, a Tachytes wasp with its grasshopper prey, a tachinid fly, and another dipteran species.

I've recently discovered the joy of photographing insects. My camera and lens are old, and I don't have autofocus so some of these images were hard to capture. But what a beautiful world we live in, even at tiny scales.

Insects of the summer so far

I'm an Ecologist working on multiple entomology projects this summer (pest grasshopper and crop interactions, and dung beetle presence/affects on ecosystem). I wanted to share some of the insects I've encountered so far. Some photos taken with my DSLR, some taken with my phone. And this is just a tiny selection!

They insect world is beautiful and fascinating.

Small World

I recently graduated with an ecology degree and I'm working toward a master's in entomology. I'm also an amateur photographer, and I wanted to share a few macro shots I've taken over the past few days around Bozeman, Sidney, and Mocassin while doing field work

There are so many photos of rivers and mountains and bears and everything else large and fantastical. But so few realize how beautiful the world is all around us, every day.

We only need to stop and look.

Stay safe this warm weekend! Drink lots of water and use sunscreen!

Anyone know why the pass is single-lane and 35 all the way from Livingston to Bozeman when nobody is out here doing anything?

Sincerely, an ecologist who spent all day doing laborious field work in Billings and wants to *go home*.

Agatized Fossil

I found this while working in eastern Montana, USA. Wondering what it could be!

Hello Yellow

Snapped this photo of a wasp enjoying the flowers on some fragrant sumac at Missouri Headwaters State Park. I'm a recent MSU grad working in entomology, and insects never cease to amaze me. They're underappreciated critters. Next time you're outside, take a moment to notice the tiny world around you!

TMobile charged me for a ghost line for 5months. Now, won't refund

In December, I switched my phone over to my own plan following a divorce. The girl had to change my number and do some finagling, but we got it done after a few hours. During most of which she talked about how excited she was to leave for Christmas break that afternoon.

Autopay was enabled and my phone line was combined with the home internet I already had through them.

Fast forward to early this month, I finally deep dove into my Tmobile bill after realizing the charge was higher than it should have been. It took me a while to notice as I am a mom and was finishing out my final semester of college, and autopay kept it off my direct radar. $151 for one phone line and the home internet. Made no sense.

Then I realized I couldn't look at the bill details because, somehow, I wasn't the "primary account holder" despite being the only person on the account. Had to do the customer care rigamarole and they made me primary. I immediately opened bill details and found an arbitrary number that I didn't recognize tacked onto my plan. This number had no device attached and a record of no data usage whatsoever.

So I contacted customer care, again. After which I was told an investigation with the fraud department would be opened and I'd be notified on or before May 19th of the results. I got a call a week later asking about the number. I confirmed I didn't recognize or use it.

Today, I finally got the resolution. And the woman told me the line was added to my account in-store and was therefore still valid, so they would be issuing no refund. Only a $30 credit.

$200 down the drain and a company I've been loyal to giving me the middle finger. I guess TMobile thinks it's cool to steal people's money.

I will be switching to a different carrier soon.

TLDR: Girl in Tmobile store added an extra line to my account and I unknowingly paid for it for 5 months. T-Mobile now refuses to refund me despite that line having no linked device or usage.

Family Law Attorney

Hi all,

I'm dealing with a frustrating situation involving my elementary-aged daughter and her vindictive father who is using her as a form of control, and putting her in bad situations.

I'm looking for a good family law attorney that can meet with me for a consultation and go from there, and would love recommendations of, and experiences with, firms/lawyers in Bozeman.

Thank you!

As summer creeps closer and rodent populations grow, I wanted to remind everyone not to use rodent poison. It kills innumerable other animals including cats, dogs, foxes, birds of prey, and more.

There are very serious consequences when putting toxins into the ecosystem, and several better options of rodent control exist.

Keep our beautiful ecosystem and native animals safe!

Pictures are some of the beautiful birds of prey I've seen in the area. First is Tony, a young Red-Tail Hawk and ambassador bird with the Montana Raptor Conservation Center. Many birds they care for are victims of poison ingestion.
