I just seem to be a person who has an allergy to buying a model number back, even if it's recent, but I'm using a Watch 4 Classic now and I really like the physical bezel ring.
The research says that I'm not really giving up that much in performance by getting the 8 vs the 9, can anyone speak from experience on that?

I run an addiction support group, and we are getting absolutely inexplicable takedowns by Anti-Evil Operations. For example, this reply to someone considering quitting for good:
>"Tbh, don't think too much about and just do it. The majority of the pain is mental. And once you're going through it youre gonna tell yourself 'hey it's not so bad after all'. Just keep busy and keep going through life as normal, and maybe add in a couple of hobbies too"
Most people come to our sub during the worst time in their lives so far, and we generally have two or three people a week who are credibly suicidal, and we have a random AI taking down their contributions to what is often their only source of support.
We need better than this, or to be exempted from it. It's not an isolated incident.
I've said before that I don't recommend quitting with the expectation of some sort of grand life payoff, but for me, quitting has lifted the terrible tax that using exacted from my life that was slowly, then quickly, taking everything from me.
I'm now very happily married, financially stable, able to pursue engaging hobbies and great adventures in equal parts, and for all the lies that the drug told me about what a fascinating psychonaut I was when I was using, my life is just so much more interesting now.
I do want to piggyback on this post to suggest that everyone here try our Discord meetings. I really do think that they are a wonderful community and the daily check-ins are probably the best tool we can offer for keeping your sobriety.
They're every day at 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time for an hour, and if you're not ready to participate there are so many people there that you can lurk without even being noticed until you're ready.

Does anyone specifically measure and culture their kefir to a particular pH level?
I'm a cultured butter maker and I'm going to try kefir. I'm used to culturing the cream for my butter between 4.6 and 4.0 depending on the particular culture I'm using.
My first attempt at kefir was from a powder culture, and I tried fermenting it to 4.6, and while it was delicious, it was very thick, almost like yogurt. Again though, delicious.
I'm now moving to fresh grains from Yemoos. For those of you (if any) that measure your pH, is there a target I'm looking for? I assumed it was 4.6 or below from my butter knowledge, but if so, is there a way to get it there without being so thick?
