Let me tell you - THIS IS STRICTLY NOT A HATE POST (btw for the first one it is, not for second one on the list). It's just an opinion post, the idea inspiration which came from a fellow redditor.

Now, well the thing is that some actors acting isn't it for you. I felt the same for these 2 as well 🙁

1. Lu Dan Dong: Tbh I actually entirely dislike this actor if I say it. I actually did feel some negative vibes from him and I was actually right, as he was sentenced for 10 months in prison for DV. Now keeping that aside have y'all seen his dramas where he was paired with Ma Qiu Yuan? Not a single one is bearable, and he plays the highest level of sc*m in those ones. Sometimes I really felt that was he really playing himself coz those roles were so, so, so realistically sc*mmy that you really cannot imagine your faves playing those roles, leave favs, even any other actor. There was this specific one with Ma Qiu Yuan only and that one was..... Don't even get me started on his character there😡.

2. Zheng Chenyu: Ok, so let me tell you I really don't dislike her as a person but her acting and characters because all of the roles I have watched of hers have her as a naive, damsel in distress, stone faced character. I am yet to see her in a role where she is a strong, smart, sassy and if possible, a funny FL and not a suppressed, oppressed, downtrodden and 'at mercy of ML/abused Cinderella' character 🙁 Well considering that she's like too young (21) we can hope that she grows more in her script selection and roles.

So here I am with a part 2 for this and tbh I really got so many suggestions in part 1 that now I'll add here as well 😎 One more thing is that I had a DiDi section in previous post where we had only one entry - Yang Peng Cheng as he's still under 20, and we have age criteria as follows - Da Shu (who are 35+), Xiao Shu (those who are 30+), GeGe (22-25+) and same age or DiDi (younger than 21). Yeah if anyone finds any actors younger than themselves they can put them under DiDi category ❤ I made this list on my POV, you are welcome to comment it under as per your preference

1. An Lian Shi Ke Xing Xing Tang (2025) - ML: Zhang Chi, FL: Zhi Chun He

Before I start, let me just say this: this drama is an absolute cutefest 🥹❤ Both the ML and FL are walking green flags, and on a side note, Zhi Chunhe is ridiculously adorable. I genuinely couldn't believe she was 27 at first! Meanwhile, Zhang Chi is as handsome and charming as ever. The story is simple, sweet, and effortlessly wholesome. The FL has a crush on the ML but is far too shy to confess. Once the ML finds out, though, he takes the lead, and their relationship blossoms in the most heartwarming way. One of the drama's biggest strengths is its supporting cast. The leads' friends are incredibly supportive, adding to the cozy vibe instead of creating unnecessary drama. Better yet, there are zero misunderstandings between the leads, which felt like such a refreshing change 🥹 I also loved the way the ML looked at the FL. Those heart eyes were impossible to miss and made every interaction even sweeter ❤ The styling deserves a shoutout too. Both leads actually look like college students, with simple, comfortable outfits instead of the usual flashy wardrobe. Everything feels natural, cozy, and believable. Overall, this is a light, fluffy, stress-free watch that feels like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket on a rainy day 🥰✨

2. Heartbeat Decision - ML: Ma Xiao Yu, FL: Zhang Chu Xuan

This is Ma Xiaoyu and Zhang Chu Xuan's second collab, and honestly, it feels like the redemption version of Captive Love From Mob Boss 😅, even though that still sits on my favorites list. This time, we get a peak green-flag ML paired with a badass, capable FL. Yes, the FL starts off married to a complete j*rk, all thanks to her infuriating grandmother (who, thankfully, doesn't stick around for long and dies pretty early on 😅). The ML becomes her biggest source of support, standing by her side and protecting her every step of the way. And the chemistry? Do I even need to explain? 🔥 With two fantastic actors sharing the screen, almost every scene between them sizzles with chemistry. The styling and aesthetics are on point too. Apart from the FL's grandma and ex-husband, there are barely any irritating characters, and even they don't overstay their welcome. The FL's younger brother and the ML made such a hilarious duo 😂. As a bonus, the drama ends with the pregnant FL attending a board meeting... only to go into labor right there 😂.

Fav Scene: The FL and ML are trying to steal a romantic moment, only for the FL's brother to catch them, forcing them to relocate to the car 😂😂. And the ML somehow pulling an entire baby bag out of his briefcase the second the FL goes into labor had me absolutely wheezing 😂😂.

3. Love Is Highly (2025) - ML: Wang Hao Zhen, FL: Hou Cheng Yue

A Wang Haozhen drama is a must to appear in my list. This is a calm, aesthetic, and refreshingly mature drama. The ML is older, stoic, and reserved, yet incredibly kind and devoted, having quietly loved and cared for the FL for years ❤. The FL is a photographer/director who is pampered yet grounded, sweet, and confident in her choices. The setup is familiar: the FL is engaged to the ML's younger brother, only to discover he's a cheater. But what makes this drama stand out is that she doesn't waste a second wallowing. She's decisive, takes charge of her own future, and is the one who makes the first move toward the ML 😍 She knows what she wants and is strong at that. I also loved the FL's father and his close friend, the aunt who helped raise her after her mother's passing. Their advice felt refreshingly mature and far removed from the usual drama clichés ❤. Another huge plus is that the ML and FL aren't tied together by a forced contract marriage trope. They genuinely choose each other and put equal effort into building their relationship. And the peace! 🥹 Zero green teas, zero pointless misunderstandings. Yes, the ML's mother is a bit annoying, but she barely gets any screen time, with almost 90% of the story dedicated to the leads and their relationship. The aesthetics are gorgeous throughout, and both leads are styled beautifully, whether they're lounging at home in comfy clothes or dressed to the nines for formal events ❤.

Fav Scene: When the ML travels all the way to the village where the FL is working just to surprise her on her birthday 🥹❤

4. With You As My Shore (2026) - ML: Liu Yu Hang, FL: Sun Qian Xun

This is a recently released drama that instantly shot up my favorites list. We have the bubbly Sun Qianxun paired with Liu Yuhang and that irresistibly sexy voice of his ❤ The story follows a rebirth plot where the FL and ML were deeply in love, but circumstances, especially the situation with her father, forced the FL into an arranged marriage instead. While the overall story is quite emotional, it balances the angst with plenty of heartwarming and genuinely fun moments. The styling and aesthetics are fantastic, especially the beautifully recreated nostalgic 90s setting. After her rebirth, the FL takes complete control of her life. The ML is an absolute sweetheart: soft, innocent, and endlessly devoted. In their first life, he did everything he could to protect the FL and ultimately lost his life because of it. Meanwhile, the FL divorced her husband and spent the next forty years alone, carrying her love and regret for the ML 🥹 There is one annoying green tea character who initially tries to sabotage the FL's work, but instead of defeating her, the FL's kindness gradually wins her over. She eventually becomes one of the FL's biggest supporters. The funniest twist? This former green tea, now the SFL, ends up falling for the FL's husband from the first timeline 😂 The leads share plenty of sweet moments, their chemistry is wonderful throughout, and the romance feels both tender and passionate. Overall, it's a beautiful comfort watch. As an added bonus, this time around the FL and ML finally get the happy ending they deserve, growing old together and raising two children ❤

Fav Scene: When the ML hears that the FL may have been in an accident and immediately rushes over in a panic. The sheer relief on his face when he finds her safe, followed by that heartfelt hug, was incredibly touching 🥹❤

5. Phoenix Lord (2025) - ML: Shen Hao Nan, FL: Wang Xiao Yi

A reverse harem? Check. A lineup of ridiculously handsome men? Check. An all-powerful Empress choosing her own consorts? Double check 😌👑 This is another rebirth drama, but what really makes it stand out is how smoothly the story unfolds. Our FL is the Empress, confidently selecting consorts for herself, while the main antagonist is the same trash SML who killed her in her previous life. Somehow, despite her literally being the ruler of the empire, he still acts as if he owns her and even dares to raise his voice at her. That was probably the only part that made me roll my eyes 😒 The ML is a general and the very definition of loyalty, remaining devoted to the FL across both lifetimes. The visuals are absolutely stunning, and every scene featuring the FL and ML together feels grand and captivating. Their chemistry is fantastic, and the romantic moments are beautifully done ❤ There's also a third ML who appears after that infuriating SML, and he's actually a genuinely good person, which was a pleasant surprise. And then there's the Empress Dowager, who completely steals every scene she's in. Her solution to the FL's "consort" problems? Simply keep choosing more men until she's satisfied 😂👑The aesthetics, costumes, and cinematography are gorgeous throughout, making the entire drama a visual feast. Overall, it's an entertaining watch with strong chemistry, beautiful production values, and an FL who truly commands the screen ❤

Fav Scene: When the ML decides to charm the FL by dressing up in ceremonial attire with only single outer layers and ornate chest jewelry 😳✨ Shen Haonan looked absolutely ethereal in that scene 👑

6. Wild Thing (2025) - ML: Lan Bo, FL: Wang Zi Jia

Normally, I don't watch many jie jie romances apart from the occasional Liang Siwei drama, but this one completely won me over ❤ The FL is a fashion designer who, in a rather chaotic situation, picks the ML to model for her. What she doesn't know is that he's actually a wealthy CEO who decides to pose as a model to get closer to her. It's a familiar setup, but the chemistry between the leads makes it work incredibly well. Their romance feels natural, fun, and genuinely engaging. The FL is surrounded by supportive friends and co-workers, and I appreciated that the fashion design aspect wasn't treated as mere background decoration. Her outfits actually reflected her profession, while the ML's dual identity as both a model and a CEO was portrayed really well. This is also a rare modern drama for Lan Bo, and he delivers a wonderfully green-flag ML despite hiding his identity. There is an annoying green tea pursuing the ML, but thankfully she never takes over the story. What I loved most was how decisive the FL was. When the ML stood her up on his birthday, she refused to tolerate it and even splashed him when he tried to drag her away. Later, after learning his true identity, she assumes the contract from his company was simply charity and rejects it outright, even paying the penalty fee herself. That moment earned the respect of everyone around her, including the green tea, and left the ML with quite a bit of groveling to do 😂 The aesthetics are beautiful, the acting is solid, and the romance is packed with chemistry. Overall, it's a stress-free watch that balances sweetness, humor, and just the right amount of drama to keep things entertaining ❤

7. The Wedding at Beijing Airlines: Sisters Swap Marriages to Control Master Zhan's Whole Family - ML: He Lian Fei, FL: Dong Yue Yu, SML: Wu Jia Xi, SFL: Yin Chen Xi

This is one of those marriage-swap dramas that I ended up loving way more than I expected. The setup sounds questionable at first: two sisters marrying a father-son pair 😅 Thankfully, the "father" is actually the SML's uncle, his father's identical-looking younger brother, so it's nowhere near as weird as it initially sounds. The ML's age is also exaggerated at the start, as he's actually much younger than we're led to believe. The styling, costumes, and overall aesthetics are gorgeous. What I really enjoyed was getting two different romances in one drama: the sweet young girl-stoic older man pairing of the FL and ML, and the powerful CEO woman-adorable younger man dynamic of the SFL and SML ❤ The sisters have a lovely relationship, and while the ML initially seems cold, he's really just a lonely man who quickly becomes devoted to the FL. I also liked that the FL wasn't portrayed as childish, but rather as a pampered yet genuinely mature young woman. This drama also introduced me to Dong Yueyu, and I've been watching more of her dramas ever since. The SFL-SML romance gets less screen time but is incredibly sweet, and I absolutely loved the SFL's wardrobe. There is a green tea character interested in the ML, plus some annoying parents, but neither takes up too much space. Overall, it's filled with funny, heartwarming moments and is definitely a comfort watch ❤

Fav Scene: When the FL tells the ML about the wedding she's always dreamed of, and he quietly assures her that she can have everything she wants 🥹❤ Such a warm, heartfelt moment

8. Long Coveted (2025) - ML: Chen Si, FL: Meng Na

Meng Na always shines in powerful, seductive roles, and when she's paired with Chen Si, the chemistry is absolutely electric 🔥 This is another revenge drama, but the setup is quite interesting. The green tea SFL is engaged to the ML, while the FL, who has been repeatedly wronged by her family, decides to use that engagement as part of her revenge plan and sets her sights on the ML. What makes it even better is the reveal that the ML has loved her for years and had quietly set everything in motion beforehand, happily playing along with every step of her scheme 😏 The drama is packed with tension as the FL carefully executes her plans while the ML knowingly walks right into every trap she sets. Beyond the revenge plot, the FL is also an excellent dancer, which adds another layer to her character. There is one moment where the ML appears to support the SFL, leading to an angry reaction from the FL, who bites him 😂 It later turns out to be part of his plan to push the FL into finally claiming him instead of treating him as just another pawn in her revenge game. Smart move, honestly 😌 The FL's family is absolutely awful, and the SFL is one of those antagonists who somehow becomes more irritating with every appearance. Thankfully, the leads more than make up for it. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the styling is fantastic, especially the FL's outfits whenever she's plotting her next move ❤ Overall, it's a satisfying revenge drama with strong leads, incredible chemistry, and plenty of well-earned payback ❤

Fav Scene: When the ML confronts the SFL after she and her mother kidnap the FL and try to harm her. Watching him repeatedly hit her and finally break her legs was unbelievably cathartic 😌🔥

9. Top Scholar, Your Wife's at It Again! (2025) - ML: Koh Gao, FL: Guo Yu Xin

This is quite different from the kind of roles Guo Yuxin usually plays, and she absolutely shines here. Her character is funny, spunky, confident, and incredibly entertaining to watch 😍 Yes, it's a period drama, and the ML is an out-and-out green flag. The FL is strong, decisive, and more than capable of dealing with every antagonist that comes her way. While the ML and FL get married fairly early on, what I loved most was how respectful and supportive they are toward each other right from the start ❤ The drama is packed with fun moments, especially whenever the FL takes on the antagonists. She often ends up protecting the ML herself, and her sharp tongue is one of her greatest weapons. Watching her roast her enemies was endlessly satisfying 😂 The FL's younger sister is absolutely adorable and adds even more charm to the story. The styling and costumes are beautifully done.. Overall, it's a fun, feel-good period drama and the perfect stress-buster watch 🥰✨

10. The Captive Rose (2025) - ML: Liang Si Wei, FL: Wang Jin

Honestly, I'd rank this among Liang Siwei's most unhinged and audacious roles 😭😂 The story follows a rebirth plot where both the ML and FL get a second chance after dying in their previous life. Back then, the ML had kept the FL captive, partly to protect her from the endless scheming around her, but things ended tragically. This time, however, only the ML remembers their past life while the FL starts with a blank slate. Of course, we get the usual lineup of villains: the FL's trash father, her green tea sister, and a thoroughly useless, j*rk SML. The difference is that the ML wastes no time bringing the FL under his protection and even hires a badass female bodyguard who solves problems with her fists first 😂 As a result, the FL spends very little time being bullied. What makes the ML so entertaining is that he doesn't try to become less crazy after rebirth. Instead, he simply gets better at hiding it 😭 And honestly, it works. Rather than keeping the FL captive this time around, he showers her with extravagant gifts and affection. My personal favorite was the diamond ring sturdy enough to crack coconuts 😭😂 I usually love the FL's styling in dramas, but here the ML completely stole the show. Liang Siwei is at his flirty, shameless, chaotic best, while Wang Jin does a great job as the sweet and sheltered FL. Later, the FL reconnects with her maternal family and eventually regains memories of her previous life, leading to a temporary separation. The difference this time is that the ML actually respects her choice and patiently waits for her ❤ Overall, it's a wildly entertaining watch with fantastic chemistry, fun styling, and an ML who's equal parts devoted and delightfully insane 😌

Fav Scenes: Pretty much every scene where the ML spoiled and pampered the FL ❤ And, of course, every single appearance by that legendary bodyguard 😂🔥

Bie Re Ta, Ta Shi He Ye Zhang Xin Que

11. Bie Re Ta, Ta Shi He Ye Zhang Xin Que (2025): ML: Shao Wei, FL: Sun Lu Lu

This is the fourth adaptation of the He Wang-Shen Qingwu / CEO x Perfumer Canary plot, and alongside the Ma Qianhuan-Chen Siche version, it's easily my favorite take on the story ❤ The core plot remains largely the same, though this adaptation incorporates a few more elements from the original novel. What really stood out to me, however, was Shao Wei. He has an incredibly strong screen presence, and his emotional scenes were genuinely impressive. Sun Lulu was equally good as the FL. While Chen Siche's version focused more on the ruthless and detached side of bipolar disorder, Sun Lulu's portrayal highlighted its depressive and vulnerable side instead, adding a different emotional layer to the story. Now, the ML definitely has some toxic moments. Whether it's putting a locator on the FL, asking her to quit her job, or insisting she has no right to take birth control because "her body belongs to him," there are plenty of moments where he's difficult to defend 😅 Thankfully, the FL isn't a pushover and consistently stands her ground. Compared to the earlier adaptation, the revenge arc is resolved much faster, allowing more time for the ML's pursuit of the FL and his attempts to repair their relationship. The styling is excellent throughout, but once again, it was the ML's wardrobe that stole the show for me. Shao Wei looked especially good in those non-formal white shirts 😍

Fav Scene: When the ML finally finds the FL after she goes missing and brings her back from the bridge 🥹 Later, he discovers the letters she had written, only to realize they were essentially goodbye letters. The conversation that follows is absolutely heartbreaking, especially when he asks, "How do you expect me to live the rest of my life with only these few words left behind?" 💔 That entire sequence hit me right in the feels

Shao Shuai Fu Ren Guai You Ye

12. Shao Shuai Fu Ren Guai You Ye (2025) - ML: Liang Si Wei, FL: Wang Jin

The second Liang Siwei-Wang Jin collab, this time set in the Republican era, is a deliciously satisfying revenge drama 😌🔥 The FL is a healer with a trash family, but unlike many revenge heroines, she's always several steps ahead of everyone around her. Every move is carefully planned, every trap meticulously laid. During her quest for revenge, she catches the attention of the ML, a sexy, dangerous, and highly unpredictable young Marshal. Naturally, the FL decides he's the perfect ally and starts making full use of him to further her plans 😏 One thing I loved was the supporting cast. The ML's sister, the FL's teacher and his wife, and the FL's senior brother are all genuinely lovable characters. While the ML initially has little regard for boundaries, the FL is more than clever enough to keep him in check and turn every situation to her advantage. Along the way, she also seeks justice for her family maid's daughter while avenging her mother, making her revenge feel even more rewarding. The FL gets some incredibly powerful dialogue throughout the drama, and the ML consistently stands by her side when it matters most ❤ The Republican-era styling is gorgeous, especially the FL's wardrobe, and the chemistry between the leads is absolutely on fire 🔥 After the ML discovers that he's been used as part of the FL's plans, he's understandably furious, and she chooses to leave. What follows is one of the funniest parts of the drama, with the Marshal repeatedly trying to win her back through increasingly shameless and adorable antics 😂 Meanwhile, the ML's sister also gets her own happy ending with the FL's senior brother, which was lovely to see. The revenge arc is deeply satisfying, the romance is engaging, and the visuals are beautiful. Overall, it's a thoroughly enjoyable watch ❤

Fav Scenes: After their separation, the ML keeps taking ice-cold showers so the FL will take pity on him and come look after him 😂😂 And then there's the moment he learns to make noodles exactly like her mother used to, just so she can truly believe in his love ❤

Ai Zhi Li Shi Fang Jue Zhen

13. Ai Zhi Li Shi Fang Jue Zhen (2025) - ML: Fang Zheng Nan, FL: Li Ruo Qi

This is easily one of my favorite takes on the stand-in trope because the FL actually treats the arrangement exactly like what it is: a job 😭😂 She takes the money, accepts the gifts, builds great relationships with everyone around her, and fully intends to leave the moment her contract expires. Meanwhile, the ML is blissfully convinced that she's genuinely in love with him. At one point, he even starts believing she's eager to have children with him 😭 The funniest part is just how professional the FL is about the whole thing. She meticulously notes down all of the ML's preferences along with the traits of the so-called "white moonlight" so she can pass everything on to the next stand-in if needed 😂 Her efficiency is honestly impressive. She even ends up befriending the SFL, one of the ML's admirers, purely through her incredible social skills. While the ML is busy planning a grand dream wedding, the FL casually brings up divorce, completely blindsiding him 😭💀 The ML is actually a green flag overall. He's kind and caring, though definitely a bit narcissistic at the start. The second half focuses on his efforts to win the FL back, and he goes through quite a lot in the process. What I loved most was his growth. It was emotional watching him realize that the FL had suppressed her own preferences, habits, and desires just to fulfill the terms of the contract after reading the diary she accidentally left behind. He starts making a genuine effort to understand her and adapt to her preferences ❤ He even secretly donates bone marrow to the FL's father simply because he knows it would make her happy 🥹 The FL is equally capable and supportive when it matters, making them feel like true partners. The antagonist exists but thankfully never takes over the story. And then comes the twist: the FL spends the entire drama believing she was hired as a substitute for the ML's "white moonlight," only to discover that the person was actually his sister 😭😂 The ML had arranged the whole thing partly because he wanted to help her financially. A wonderful drama with a smart, capable FL and a devoted ML who gradually learns how to love the right way ❤

Fav Scene: When the ML reads the FL's diary and realizes she followed every single clause of the contract with absolute dedication 🥺 The irony is heartbreaking. He spent all that time hoping her love was real, while she was simply doing exactly what he had hired her to do 😭💔❤

Bing Shu Zhi Tou You Feng Chun

14. Bing Shu Zhi Tou You Feng Chun (2025) - ML: Wang Haozhen, FL: Mi Qi

This is a classic transmigration-into-a-a-book story, but one that executes the trope really well 😍 The FL finds herself inside a novel as the villainous female character who ends up marrying the ML, who is actually the book's male supporting character. Instead of blindly following the plot, she uses her knowledge of future events to overcome obstacles, change her fate, and gradually make the ML fall in love with her ❤ This was WHZ and Mi Qi's first collaboration, and it's still one of my favorites. Mi Qi absolutely steals the show as the spontaneous, quirky, and lovable FL. She's funny, resourceful, and brings so much energy to every scene. The ML initially views her with suspicion because of how different she is from the original character, but over time he comes to trust her completely and ends up loving her wholeheartedly 🥹 The visuals are beautiful, the chemistry is adorable, and the drama balances comedy, romance, and a touch of metaphysical fantasy really well. There are plenty of fun moments, but it also knows exactly when to hit you right in the feelings 😭 What really got me was how deeply the ML loved the FL. When her time in the novel world comes to an end and she "dies" there, he's utterly shattered. Watching him refuse to let go of her and desperately try to save her was absolutely heartbreaking 💔😭

Fav Scene: When the FL transmigrates back to the real world while the ML remains behind in the novel world, devastated and holding her lifeless body 🥺💔 That entire sequence was incredibly emotional. Thankfully, the story doesn't leave us suffering for long, because the two eventually reunite in the real world, giving us the happy ending they truly deserved 🥹❤✨

1. Luo Ru Da Wu Jiang Ni Yi Wang (2025) - ML: Wang Hao Zhen, FL: Yu Yin

This is one of those genuinely sad dramas where the relationship is unhealthy from start to finish, and the story doesn't shy away from showing the damage it causes 😔💔 The FL is taken in by the ML when she's 7 years old and grows up under his care. As she gets older, she develops feelings for him, and that's where everything starts going downhill. Instead of helping her process those feelings in a healthy way or creating some distance, the ML makes one bad decision after another, including bringing a green tea rival into the picture 🤦‍♀️😒 Predictably, everything spirals out of control. What frustrated me most was how often the ML misunderstood the very girl he had raised. At the same time, he couldn't stand seeing her get close to other men, which only made his behavior even more contradictory 😑 Like... what exactly did he expect? The drama just keeps piling on the angst, and the FL goes through far more heartbreak than she ever deserved 🥺💔 Even when tragedy strikes, the ML repeatedly jumps to the wrong conclusions, leaving the FL to suffer the consequences alone 😭 The one truly satisfying part was when the FL finally chose herself and walked away 👏❤ The ML does face consequences later, suffering a life-changing accident and getting crippled, but honestly, considering everything the FL endured, it still didn't feel like enough karma 😶 The ending is left open, with the ML eventually finding his way to a flower shop run by the FL 🌸 While some viewers may see hope in that final scene, I personally felt the exact opposite 😅 After everything she went through, I just couldn't root for them getting back together. Sometimes the happiest ending is simply moving on, and this felt like one of those stories 💔🥀

2. When a divorce lawyer wants a divorce S1 and S2 - ML: Chang Zhe Kuan, FL: Li Ruo Qi

Honestly, this is one of those dramas that makes you wonder whether people this awful actually exist in real life... and then you remember they absolutely do 😭😤 The ML and FL get married in Season 1, and from the very beginning, the ML keeps playing the classic hot-and-cold game, all because he was told that his brother loved the FL. The worst part? The FL didn't even know about it. If anything, the brother's feelings felt far more genuine and selfless than anything the ML ever showed 🥺💔 The ML is a frustrating b@stard throughout, rarely making any meaningful effort for the FL, while his mother and sister somehow manage to be even worse b!tches 😒🤦‍♀️ Season 1 was definitely rushed, but at least the story progression made some sense. Then I watched Season 2 today, hoping for some character growth... and somehow my opinion of the ML got even worse 😭 After the FL spends two years away from him and wants a divorce, this man still refuses to let her go. And during those two years? He never once approached her because he was afraid she'd reject him. Instead, he just watched from a distance 😑👏 What a strategy. Even more ridiculous, he secretly kept visiting their son but hid that fact from the FL as well 🤦‍♀️ Honestly, I was rooting for a divorce by that point. The FL had become strong, independent, and perfectly capable of moving on without him 👏❤ But this @$$ of a man wouldn't give her a divorce and kept forcing her back into his orbit, despite doing absolutely nothing when she actually needed him. And don't even get me started on the green tea villain. This woman kidnapped both the FL and her child, yet the drama barely bothers showing any proper punishment for her 😤 The one shining star in this entire mess was the son 😂❤ He had more courage and common sense than most of the adults combined. Whenr the ML's mother and sister showed up to insult the FL again, he did not hesitate to roast them, beat them up, or stand up for his mother. Absolute legend 👑😂 What makes this even more frustrating is that the acting, direction, and overall production are actually quite good 😭 The drama looks polished, the performances are convincing, and yet the writing turns it into one of the biggest ragebait watches imaginable 😤💀 By the end, I wasn't rooting for the romance anymore. I was rooting for the FL's freedom 🥲👏❤

My Favs:

1. Heartbeat Decision - ML: Ma Xiao Yu, FL: Zhang Chu Xuan

This is Ma Xiaoyu and Zhang Chu Xuan's second collab, and honestly, it feels like the redemption drama of Captive Love From Mob Boss 😅 even though that does come under my favs list. This time we get a peak green-flag ML paired with a badass, capable FL. Yes, the FL starts off married to a complete j*rk, thanks to her infuriating grandmother (who, thankfully, exits the story pretty quickly by dying). The ML becomes her biggest pillar of support and protects her every step of the way. And the chemistry? Do I even need to explain? 🔥 With two fantastic actors sharing the screen, almost every scene between them crackles with energy. The styling and aesthetics are spot on, too. Apart from the FL's grandma and ex-husband, there are hardly any irritating characters, and even they don't overstay their welcome. The FL's younger brother and the ML were funny together 😂. And as a bonus, the drama ends with a pregnant FL attending a board meeting... and going into labor right there 😂.

Fav Scene: When the FL and ML are trying to steal a romantic moment, only for the FL's brother to catch them, forcing them to shift to car 😂😂. Also, the ML magically pulling an entire baby bag out of his briefcase when the FL goes into labor had me in stitches 😂😂.

2. Love Is Highly (2025) - ML: Wang Hao Zhen, FL: Hou Cheng Yue

This is a calm, aesthetic, and refreshingly mature drama. The ML is older, stoic, and reserved, yet incredibly kind and devoted, having quietly cared for the FL for years ❤. The FL is a photographer/director who is pampered but also grounded, sweet, and confident in her choices. The setup is familiar: the FL is engaged to the ML's younger brother, only to discover he's a cheater. But what makes this drama stand out is that the FL wastes no time wallowing. She's decisive, takes charge of her own future, and is the one who approaches the ML first. 😍 I also loved the FL's father and his close friend, the aunt who helped raise her after her mother's passing. Their advice felt surprisingly mature and different from the usual drama clichés ❤. Another huge plus is that the ML and FL aren't bound by some forced contract marriage trope. They genuinely choose each other and put equal effort into building their relationship. And the peace! 🥹 Zero green teas, zero pointless misunderstandings. Yes, the ML's mother is a bit annoying, but she barely gets any screen time since about 90% of the story focuses on the leads and their relationship. The aesthetics are gorgeous throughout, and both leads are styled beautifully, whether they're relaxing at home in casual outfits or dressed to the nines for formal events ❤.

Fav Scene: When the ML travels all the way to the village where the FL is working just to surprise her on her birthday 🥹❤

3. With You As My Shore (2026) - ML: Liu Yu Hang, FL: Sun Qian Xun

This is a recently released drama and instantly shot up my favorites list. We have the bubbly Sun Qianxun paired with Liu Yuhang, whose voice remains as captivating as ever. ❤ The story follows a rebirth plot where the FL and ML were deeply in love, but circumstances led the FL into an arranged marriage instead especially the situation with her father. While the overall narrative is quite emotional, it balances the angst with plenty of heartwarming and genuinely fun moments. The styling and aesthetics are excellent, especially the nostalgic 90s setting, which is beautifully recreated. FL takes 100% control after rebirth. The ML is an absolute sweetheart, soft, innocent, and endlessly devoted. In their first life, he did everything he could to protect the FL and ultimately lost his life because of it. Meanwhile, the FL divorced her husband and spent the next forty years alone, carrying her love and regret for the ML. 🥹 There is one annoying green tea character who initially tries to sabotage the FL's work, but instead of defeating her, the FL's kindness gradually wins her over. She ends up becoming one of the FL's most loyal supporters. The funniest twist? This former green tea, now the SFL, eventually gets together with the FL's husband from the first life. 😂 The leads share plenty of sweet moments, their chemistry is lovely throughout, and the romance feels both tender and passionate. Overall, it's a wonderful comfort watch. As an added bonus, this time around the FL and ML get the happy ending they deserved, growing old together and raising two children. ❤

Fav Scene: When the ML hears that the FL may have been in an accident and immediately rushes over in a panic. The relief on his face when he realizes she's perfectly fine, followed by that heartfelt hug, was incredibly touching and one of the most memorable moments in the drama. 🥹❤

Phoenix Lord

4. Phoenix Lord (2025) - ML: Shen Hao Nan, FL: Wang Xiao Yi

A reverse harem? Check. A lineup of ridiculously handsome men? Check. An all-powerful empress choosing her own consorts? Double check. 😌👑 This is another rebirth drama, but what really makes it stand out is how smoothly the story unfolds. Our FL is the Empress, confidently selecting consorts for herself, while the main antagonist is the same trash SML who killed her in her previous life. Somehow, despite her literally being the ruler of the empire, he still acts as if he owns her and even dares to raise his voice at her. That was probably the only part that made me roll my eyes. 😒The ML is a general and the very definition of loyalty, remaining devoted to the FL across both lifetimes. The visuals are absolutely stunning, and every scene featuring the FL and ML together feels grand and captivating. Their chemistry is excellent, and the romantic moments are beautifully done. ❤ There's also a third ML who appears after that infuriating SML, and he's actually a genuinely good person, which was a pleasant surprise. And then there's the Empress Dowager, who completely steals every scene she's in. Her solution to the FL's 'consort' problems? Simply keep choosing more men until she's satisfied. 😂👑 The aesthetics, costumes, and cinematography are gorgeous throughout, making the entire drama a visual treat. Overall, it's an entertaining watch with strong chemistry, beautiful production values, and an FL who truly commands the screen.

Fav Scene: When the ML decides to charm the FL by dressing up in ceremonial attire with minimal layers and ornate chest jewelry. 😳✨ Shen Haonan looked absolutely ethereal in that scene, and it was impossible to look away.

5. Wild Thing (2025) - ML: Lan Bo, FL: Wang Zi Jia

Normally, I don't watch many jie jie romances apart from the occasional Liang Siwei drama, but this one completely won me over. ❤ The FL is a fashion designer who, in a rather chaotic situation, picks the ML to model for her. What she doesn't know is that he's actually a wealthy CEO who decides to pose as a model to get closer to her. It's a familiar setup, but the chemistry between the leads makes it work incredibly well. Their romance feels natural, fun, and genuinely engaging. The FL is surrounded by supportive friends and co-workers, and I appreciated that the fashion design aspect wasn't treated as mere background decoration. Her outfits actually reflected her profession, while the ML's dual identity as both a model and a CEO was portrayed really well. This is also a rare modern drama for Lan Bo, and he delivers a very green-flag ML despite hiding his identity. There is an annoying green tea pursuing the ML, but thankfully she never takes over the story. What I loved most was how decisive the FL was. When the ML stood her up on his birthday, she refused to tolerate it and even splashed him when he tried to drag her away. Later, after learning his true identity, she assumes the contract from his company was simply charity and rejects it outright, even paying the penalty fee herself. That moment earned the respect of everyone around her, including the green tea, and left the ML with quite a bit of groveling to do. 😂 The aesthetics are beautiful, the acting is good, and the romance is packed with chemistry. Overall, it's a stress-free watch that balances sweetness, humor, and just enough drama to keep things entertaining. ❤

6. The Wedding at Beijing Airlines: Sisters Swap Marriages to Control Master Zhan's Whole Family - ML: He Lian Fei, FL: Dong Yue Yu, SML: Wu Jia Xi, SFL: Yin Chen Xi

 

This is one of those marriage-swap dramas that I ended up loving way more than I expected. The setup sounds questionable at first: two sisters marrying a father-son pair. 😅 Thankfully, the "father" is actually the SML's uncle, his father's identical looking younger brother, so it's nowhere near as weird as it initially sounds. The ML's age is also exaggerated at the start, as he's actually much younger than we're led to believe. The styling, costumes, and overall aesthetics are gorgeous. What I really enjoyed was getting two different romances in one drama: the sweet young girl-stoic older man pairing of the FL and ML, and the powerful CEO woman-adorable younger man dynamic of the SFL and SML. ❤ The sisters have a lovely relationship, and while the ML initially seems cold, he's really just a lonely man who quickly becomes devoted to the FL. I also liked that the FL wasn't portrayed as childish, but rather as a pampered yet genuinely mature young woman. This drama also introduced me to Dong Yueyu, and I've been watching more of her dramas ever since. The SFL-SML romance gets less screen time but is very sweet, and I absolutely loved the SFL's wardrobe. There is a green tea character interested in the ML, plus some annoying parents, but neither takes up too much space. Overall, it's filled with funny, heartwarming moments and is definitely a comfort watch. ❤

Fav Scene: When the FL tells the ML about the wedding she always dreamed of, and he quietly assures her that she can have everything she wants. 🥹❤ Such a warm moment.

7. Long Coveted (2025) - ML: Chen Si, FL: Meng Na

Meng Na always shines in powerful, seductive roles, and when she's paired with Chen Si, the chemistry is absolutely electric 🔥 This is another revenge drama, but the setup is quite interesting. The green tea SFL is engaged to the ML, while the FL, who has been repeatedly wronged by her family, decides to use the engagement as part of her revenge plan and sets her sights on the ML. What makes it even better is the reveal that the ML had loved her for years and was happily playing along with every step of her scheme😏 Rather say he somewhat planned everything beforehand The drama is packed with tension as the FL carefully executes her plans while the ML knowingly walks right into them. Beyond the revenge plot, the FL is also an excellent dancer, which adds a nice touch to her character. There is one moment where the ML appears to support the SFL, leading to an angry reaction from the FL who bites him, but it later turns out to be part of his strategy to push the FL into finally claiming him instead of treating him as just another piece in her revenge game. Smart move, honestly 😂 The FL's family is absolutely awful, and the SFL is one of those antagonists who somehow becomes more irritating with every appearance. Thankfully, the leads more than make up for it. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the styling is fantastic, especially the FL's outfits whenever she's plotting her next move ❤ Overall, it's a satisfying revenge drama with strong leads, great chemistry, and plenty of payback.

Fav Scene: When ML confronts, hits multiple times and breaks SFL's legs when she and her mother kidnap FL and try to harm her. That was so cathartic and she deserved it 😌🔥

8. An Lian Shi Ke Xing Xing Tang (2025) - ML: Zhang Chi, FL: Zhi Chun He

Before I start, let me just say this: this drama is an absolute cutefest 🥹❤ Both the ML and FL are peak green flags, and on a side note, Zhi Chunhe is ridiculously adorable. I genuinely couldn't believe she was 27 at first. Meanwhile, Zhang Chi is as handsome and charming as ever. The story itself is simple and sweet. The FL has a crush on the ML but is too shy to confess. Once the ML finds out, however, he takes the initiative, and their relationship develops in the most heartwarming way. One of the biggest strengths of the drama is the supporting cast. The leads' friends are incredibly supportive, adding to the cozy atmosphere rather than creating unnecessary drama. In fact, there are zero misunderstandings between the leads, which felt wonderfully refreshing 🥹 I also loved the way the ML looked at the FL. The heart eyes were impossible to miss and made every interaction even sweeter ❤ The styling deserves a mention too. Both leads actually look like college students, with simple, comfortable outfits instead of the usual flashy wardrobe choices. Everything feels natural, cozy, and believable. Overall, this is a light, fluffy, stress-free watch that feels like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket on a rainy day 🥰✨

9. Top Scholar, Your Wife's at It Again! (2025) - ML: Koh Gao, FL: Guo Yu Xin

This is quite different from the kind of roles Guo Yuxin usually plays, and she absolutely shines here. Her character is funny, spunky, confident, and incredibly entertaining to watch 😍 Yes, it's a period drama, and the ML is an out-and-out green flag. The FL is strong, decisive, and more than capable of dealing with every antagonist that comes her way. While the ML and FL get married fairly early on, what I loved was how respectful and supportive they are toward each other right from the start ❤ The drama is packed with fun moments, especially when the FL takes on the antagonists. She often ends up protecting the ML herself, and her sharp tongue is one of her greatest weapons. Watching her roast her enemies was endlessly satisfying 😂 The FL's younger sister is adorable too and adds even more charm to the story. The styling and costumes are beautifully done, complementing the lighthearted tone perfectly. Overall, it's a fun, feel-good period drama and a great stress-buster watch 🥰✨

10. The Captive Rose (2025) - ML: Liang Si Wei, FL: Wang Jin

Honestly, I'd rank this among Liang Siwei's most unhinged and audacious roles 😭😂 The story follows a rebirth plot where both the ML and FL get a second chance after dying in their previous life. Back then, the ML had kept the FL captive, partly to protect her from the endless scheming around her, but things ended tragically. This time, however, only the ML remembers their past life while the FL starts with a blank slate. Of course, we get the usual lineup of villains: the FL's trash father, her green tea sister, and a thoroughly useless SML. The difference is that the ML wastes no time bringing the FL under his protection and even hires a badass female bodyguard who solves problems with her fists first 😂 As a result, the FL spends very little time being bullied. What makes the ML so entertaining is that he doesn't try to become less crazy after rebirth. Instead, he focuses on becoming better at hiding it 😭 And honestly, it works. Rather than keeping the FL captive this time around, he showers her with extravagant gifts and affection. My personal favorite was the diamond ring sturdy enough to crack coconuts 😭😂 I usually love the FL's styling in dramas, but here the ML completely stole the show. Liang Siwei is at his flirty, shameless, chaotic best, while Wang Jin does a wonderful job as the sweet and sheltered FL. Later, the FL reconnects with her maternal family and eventually regains memories of her previous life, leading to a temporary separation. The difference this time is that the ML actually respects her choice and waits for her ❤ Overall, it's a wildly entertaining watch with great chemistry, fun styling, and a ML who's equal parts devoted and delightfully insane 😌

Fav Scenes: Pretty much every scene where the ML spoiled and pampered the FL ❤ And, of course, every single appearance by that bodyguard 😂🔥

Shao Shuai Fu Ren Guai You Ye

11. Shao Shuai Fu Ren Guai You Ye (2025) - ML: Liang Si Wei, FL: Wang Jin

The second Liang Siwei-Wang Jin collab, this time set in the Republican era, is a deliciously satisfying revenge drama 😌🔥 The FL is a healer with a trash family, but unlike many revenge heroines, she's always several steps ahead of everyone around her. Every move is carefully planned, every trap meticulously laid. During her quest for revenge, she catches the attention of the ML, a sexy, dangerous, and highly unpredictable young Marshal. Naturally, the FL decides he's a useful ally and starts using him to further her plans 😏 One thing I loved was the supporting cast. The ML's sister, the FL's teacher and his wife, and the FL's senior brother are all genuinely lovable characters. While the ML initially has little regard for boundaries, the FL is more than clever enough to keep him in check and steer the situation to her advantage. Along the way, she even seeks justice for her family maid's daughter along with taking revenge for her mother, making her revenge feel even more satisfying. The FL gets some incredibly powerful dialogue throughout the drama, and the ML consistently stands by her side when it matters most ❤ The Republican-era styling is gorgeous, especially the FL's wardrobe, and the chemistry between the leads is absolutely on fire 🔥 After the ML discovers that he's been part of the FL's plans, he's understandably furious, and she chooses to leave. What follows is one of the funniest parts of the drama, with the Marshal repeatedly trying to win her back through increasingly shameless and adorable antics 😂 Meanwhile, the ML's sister also gets her own happy ending with the FL's senior brother, which was lovely to see. The revenge arc is deeply satisfying, the romance is engaging, and the visuals are beautiful. Overall, it's a very enjoyable watch ❤

Fav scenes: My fav scene was one when after separation ML continuously showers in ice water so that FL takes pity on him and takes care of him😂😂 and second being when he actually learnt to make noodles like her mother just so that she is assured of his love❤

Bie Re Ta, Ta Shi He Ye Zhang Xin Que

12. Bie Re Ta, Ta Shi He Ye Zhang Xin Que (2025): ML: Shao Wei, FL: Sun Lu Lu

This is the fourth adaptation of the He Wang - Shen Qingwu / CEO x Perfumer Canary plot, and alongside the Ma Qianhuan-Chen Siche version, it's easily my favorite take on the story ❤ The core plot remains largely the same, though this adaptation incorporates a few more elements from the original novel. What really stood out to me, however, was Shao Wei. He has an incredibly strong screen presence, and his emotional scenes were genuinely impressive. Sun Lulu was equally good as the FL. While Chen Siche's version focused more on the ruthless and detached side of bipolar disorder, Sun Lulu's portrayal highlighted the depressive and vulnerable side of the condition, which added a different emotional layer to the story. Now, the ML definitely has some toxic moments. Whether it's putting a locator on the FL, asking her to quit her job, or insisting she has no right to take birth control because her body belongs to him, there are times when he's difficult to defend 😅 Thankfully, the FL isn't a pushover and consistently stands her ground. Compared to the earlier adaptation, the revenge arc is resolved much faster, allowing more time for the ML's pursuit of the FL and his attempts to repair their relationship. The styling is excellent throughout, but once again it was the ML's wardrobe that stole the show for me. Shao Wei looked especially good in those crisp white shirts 😍 The drama also leans more heavily into emotional storytelling, and some scenes hit surprisingly hard❤

Fav Scene: When the ML finally finds the FL again after she goes missing and brings her back from the bridge. Later, he discovers the letters she had written, realizing they were essentially goodbye letters. The following conversation was heartbreaking, especially when he asks, "How do you expect me to live the rest of my life with only these few words left behind?" 🥹💔 That entire sequence was incredibly emotional.

Bing Shu Zhi Tou You Feng Chun

13. Bing Shu Zhi Tou You Feng Chun (2025) - ML: Wang Haozhen, FL: Mi Qi

This is a classic transmigration-into-a-book story, but one that executes the trope really well 😍 The FL finds herself inside a novel as the villainous female character who ends up marrying the ML, who is actually the book's male supporting character. Instead of blindly following the plot, she uses her knowledge of future events to overcome obstacles, change her fate, and gradually make the ML fall in love with her ❤ This was WHZ and Mi Qi's first collaboration, and it's still one of my favorites. Mi Qi absolutely steals the show as the spontaneous, quirky, and lovable FL. She's funny, resourceful, and brings so much energy to every scene. The ML initially views her with suspicion because of how different she is from the original character, but over time he comes to trust her completely and ends up loving her wholeheartedly 🥹 The visuals are beautiful, the chemistry is adorable, and the drama balances comedy, romance, and a touch of metaphysical fantasy really well. There are plenty of fun moments, but it also knows exactly when to hit you in the feelings 😭 What really got me was how deeply the ML loved the FL. When her time in the novel world comes to an end and she "dies" there, he's utterly shattered. Watching him refuse to let go of her and desperately try to save her was heartbreaking 💔😭

Fav Scene: When the FL transmigrates back to the real world while the ML remains behind in the novel world, devastated and holding her lifeless body 🥺💔 That entire sequence was incredibly emotional. Thankfully, the story doesn't leave us suffering for long, because the two eventually reunite in the real world as well, giving us the happy ending they deserved 🥹❤✨

14. Ai Zhi Li Shi Fang Jue Zhen (2025) - ML: Fang Zheng Nan, FL: Li Ruo Qi

This is easily one of my favorite takes on the stand-in trope because the FL actually treats the arrangement exactly like what it is: a job 😭😂 She takes the money, accepts the gifts, builds good relationships with everyone around her, and fully intends to leave the moment her contract expires. Meanwhile, the ML is blissfully convinced that she's genuinely in love with him. At one point, he even starts thinking she must be eager to have children with him 😭 The funniest part is how professional the FL is about the whole thing. She meticulously notes down all of the ML's preferences as well as the traits of the so-called "white moonlight" so she can pass the information on to the next stand-in if needed 😂 Her efficiency is honestly impressive. She even ends up befriending SFL, who is one of the ML's admirers through sheer social skills. While the ML is happily planning a grand dream wedding, the FL brings up divorce, completely blindsiding him 😭💀 The ML is actually a green flag overall. He's kind and caring, though definitely a bit narcissistic at the start. The second half focuses on his efforts to win the FL back, and he goes through quite a lot in the process. What I loved most was his growth. It was emotional watching him realize that the FL had suppressed her own preferences, habits, and desires just to fulfill the terms of the contract. Instead of demanding more from her, he starts making a genuine effort to understand her and adapt to her preferences ❤ He even secretly donates bone marrow to the FL's father simply because he knows it would make her happy 🥹 The FL is equally capable and supportive when it matters, making them feel like true partners. The antagonist exists, but thankfully doesn't dominate the story. And then comes the twist: the FL spends the entire drama believing she was hired as a substitute for the ML's "white moonlight," only to discover that the person was actually his sister 😭😂 The ML had arranged the whole thing partly because he wanted to help her financially. Overall, it's a wonderful drama with a smart, capable FL and a devoted ML who learns how to love properly ❤

Fav Scene: When the ML reads the FL's diary and realizes that she followed every part of the contract with absolute dedication 🥺 The irony is heartbreaking. He spent all that time hoping for genuine love, while she was simply doing exactly what he had hired her to do 😭💔❤

Luo Ru Da Wu Jiang Ni Yi Wang

1. Luo Ru Da Wu Jiang Ni Yi Wang (2025) - ML: Wang Hao Zhen, FL: Yu Yin

This is one of those genuinely sad dramas where the relationship is unhealthy from start to finish, and the story doesn't shy away from showing the damage it causes 😔💔 The FL is taken in by the ML when she is seven years old and grows up under his care. As she gets older, she develops feelings for him, and that's where everything starts going downhill. Instead of helping her process those feelings in a healthy way or creating some distance, the ML makes one bad decision after another, including bringing a green tea rival into the picture 🤦‍♀️😒 Predictably, things spiral out of control. What frustrated me most was how often the ML misunderstood the very girl he had raised. At the same time, he couldn't stand seeing her get close to other men, which made his behavior even more contradictory 😑 Like, what exactly did he expect? The drama just keeps piling on the angst, and the FL goes through far more heartbreak than she ever deserved 🥺💔 Even when tragedy strikes, the ML repeatedly jumps to the wrong conclusions, leaving the FL to suffer the consequences alone 😭 The one truly satisfying part was when the FL finally chose herself and walked away 👏❤ The ML does face consequences later, suffering a life-changing accident, but honestly, considering everything the FL endured, it still didn't feel like enough karma 😶 The ending is left open, with the ML eventually finding his way to a flower shop run by the FL 🌸 While some viewers may see hope in that final scene, I personally felt the opposite 😅 After everything she went through, I couldn't root for them getting back together. Sometimes the happiest ending is simply moving on, and this felt like one of those stories 💔🥀

2. When a divorce lawyer wants a divorce 1 and 2 - ML: Chang Zhe Kuan, FL: Li Ruo Qi

Honestly, this is one of those dramas that makes you wonder whether people this awful actually exist in real life... and then you remember they absolutely do 😭😤 The ML and FL get married in Season 1, and from the very beginning the ML keeps playing the classic hot-and-cold game, all because he was told that his brother loved the FL. The worst part? The FL didn't even know about it. If anything, the brother's feelings felt far more genuine and selfless than anything the ML ever showed 🥺💔 The ML is frustrating b@stard throughout, rarely making any meaningful effort for the FL, while his mother and sister somehow manage to be even worse b!tches 😒🤦‍♀️ Season 1 was definitely rushed, but at least the story progression made some sense. Then I watched Season 2 today, hoping for some character growth... and somehow my opinion of the ML got even worse 😭After the FL spends two years away from him and wants a divorce, this man still refuses to let her go. And during those two years? He never once approached her because he was afraid she'd reject him. Instead, he just watched from a distance 😑👏 What a strategy. Even more ridiculous, he secretly kept visiting their son but hid that fact from the FL as well 🤦‍♀️ Honestly, I was rooting for a divorce by that point. The FL had become strong, independent, and perfectly capable of moving on without him 👏❤ but this @$$ of a man won't give her a divorce and forced her in his orbit, but did not do this when she needed him. And don't even get me started on the green tea villain. This woman kidnapped both the FL and her child, yet the drama barely bothers showing any proper punishment for her 😤 The one shining star in this entire mess was the son 😂❤ He had more courage and common sense than most of the adults combined. Whenever the ML's mother and sister showed up to insult the FL again, he never hesitated to roast them, beat them or stand up for his mother. Absolute legend 👑😂 What makes this even more frustrating is that the acting, direction, and overall production are actually quite good 😭 The drama looks polished, the performances are convincing, and yet the writing turns it into one of the biggest ragebait watches imaginable 😤💀 By the end, I wasn't rooting for the romance anymore. I was rooting for the FL's freedom 🥲👏❤

1. Capturing the Sparrow (2025) - ML: Wang Yi Ran, FL: Hou Cheng Yue

One of my absolute favorites from the 6 collabs of Wang Yiran-Hou Chengyue 🔥 FL is a sassy, smart, confident casino owner in the Republic era, while ML is the infamous "little darling" and young marshal 😎 For once, we get a seriously dominant FL, and I loved every second of it. As expected, her family is absolute trash, with a subplot revolving around rescuing her mother. There's also a hidden identity trope from ML, but thankfully it's handled well and doesn't drag on forever. The styling, aesthetics, and overall vibe are gorgeous, and ML's adoptive parents genuinely admire and respect FL, which was so refreshing ❤ The chemistry is great, the kiss scenes are plentiful 🔥, and the revenge arc lands exactly where it should. Overall, a very satisfying watch.

Fav Scene: FL visiting her father, stepmother, and sister in prison just to roast them, humble them, and give them the reality check of a lifetime 😎🔥.

2. Shi Zhou Jiao Shou Xian Dong Xin (2025) - ML: Shen Hao Nan, FL: Jin Zi Xuan

We have the ever-smiling Jin Zi Xuan and the handsome Shen Haonan, and honestly this is one of my favorite comfort watches ❤ It's a rebirth story, and thankfully FL actually uses her second chance wisely this time 👍 Sure, the usual annoying antagonists are around, but FL handles them pretty efficiently. As for ML, he's an absolute sweetheart who struggles to express his feelings because he's painfully shy. FL slowly brings him out of his shell, and this man was so innocent he didn't even know how to kiss 😂 The setup is refreshing too: Female CEO × Professor. The wardrobe is elegant and understated, the chemistry is lovely, and while FL's family is peak trash, ML's family is incredibly warm and supportive ❤ Overall, just a really cozy and satisfying watch.

Fav Scene: Every single time FL called ML and he'd instantly reply with a soft "Wo Zai" ("I'm here") 😍❤.

3. The Alchemist of Love (2025) - ML: Shen Hao Nan, FL: Zuo Yi

A metaphysics-themed drama, but with a refreshing twist. Instead of the usual overly naive, detached, or hyperactive metaphysics FLs, we get a calm, composed, and capable heroine 👍 This marks Shen Haonan and Zuo Yi's 6th collab, and their chemistry is as enjoyable as ever. ML may be a CEO, but he's respectful, trusting, and genuinely loves his wife without jumping to ridiculous misunderstandings. The styling is lovely too. FL's wardrobe is full of soft-toned dresses (that yellow dress had my heart ❤), while ML spends half the drama looking ridiculously good in cozy cardigans. The antagonists don't overstay their welcome either, with FL dealing with them pretty efficiently. Sure, the ending is rushed, but the overall ride is fun and comforting ❤

Fav Scene: FL secretly gives a talisman to her brother, only for ML to catch her. He immediately gets all pouty and coy, demanding one for himself because he also wants something from his laopo (wife) 😂❤.

Mu Li Se

4. Mu Li Se (2025) - ML: Liu Yu Hang, FL: Guo Yu Xin

So this is the second adaptation of the Li Xing-Lou Chong plotline. I had already talked about the Zhao Zhendong-Zhai Yiying version in an earlier post, and for me this one comes in a very close second. Unlike the ZZD version, the ML here is much calmer and more collected yet still has that intimidating, mysterious aura, but with an added layer of unpredictability that keeps things interesting 😎 As expected, the chemistry between the leads is absolute fire 🔥 Liu Yuhang's ridiculously sexy voice paired with the gorgeous Guo Yuxin worked incredibly well. There are a few more loose ends compared to the other adaptation, but nothing that really affects the climax or overall flow. There's also a classic "white moonlight" setup, except the twist is that FL was ML's white moonlight all along ❤ The aesthetics are great, the chemistry is top-tier, and the kiss scenes definitely deliver 🔥

Fav Scene: When ML and FL go to register their marriage 😂 The receptionist takes one look at their serious expressions and immediately points them toward the divorce registration section 😂😂.

Enchanting Nuptial Hues

5. Enchanting Nuptial Hues (2025) - ML: Shen Haonan, FL: Guo Yuxin

The fact that this drama gave us Shen Haonan and Guo Yuxin together already guarantees insane visual chemistry 🔥 It kicks off in the funniest way possible, with FL confessing to her boss (ML) and immediately getting fired. Poor guy was actually so happy and flustered that he accidentally said the exact opposite of what he meant 😂 There is a very annoying green tea lurking around, but thankfully ML shuts her down pretty well. We also get a savior trope, but for once the ML has functioning brain cells and actually investigates instead of blindly believing the green tea 👍 The aesthetics are gorgeous, the styling is on point, and Guo Yuxin's lavender gown was absolutely stunning 😍 The misunderstandings are minor, and I loved that FL confronts ML directly while ML clears things up quickly instead of dragging them out for 20 episodes. And ML's mom? Absolute icon 😎

Fav Scene: When ML's dad tries to separate ML and FL, only for ML's mom to publicly roast him in front of the entire company 😂🔥.

6. After the Soul Swap (2024) - ML: Wang Yi Ran, FL: Hou Cheng Yue

A soul-swap drama is already one of my favorite tropes, and this has to be one of the funniest versions I've seen 😂😂 The best part is that it was painfully obvious when Wang Yiran was in Hou Chengyue's body and vice versa. Both absolutely nailed the acting, but Wang Yiran's coquettish mannerisms were on another level 🤣 ML and FL get married pretty quickly too, mainly because ML's mom was terrified her son might "go astray" 😂 The drama is packed with hilarious moments and is such an easy comfort watch. As an added bonus, a pregnant FL ends up swapping souls with ML again after kissing him right before going into labor 😂😂 And yes, we also get the unforgettable sight of Wang Yiran in a wedding dress... a surprisingly short one at that 😎

Fav Scene: When ML's mom sees him watching male models, immediately imagines him in a bridal gown, panics, and straight-up offers FL money to marry him 😂😂 The entire sequence had me crying with laughter 🤣.

Love's Secret Cross 

7. Love's Secret Cross (2025) - ML: Wang Yi Ran, FL: Hou Cheng Yue

This plot has been adapted three times, but this version is easily my favorite. The cinematography, acting, and aesthetics are all chef's kiss ✨ The setup is already wild: FL tries to seduce her ex's brother and somehow ends up seducing his uncle instead 😎 ML is your classic cold and stoic man, but there's never any doubt that he loves FL. There is one misunderstanding I wasn't a fan of though. ML uses FL to get out of marrying his fiancée and even sends photos of them together to stir things up. Thankfully, FL doesn't just forgive and forget. She leaves him, and later has him literally begging for forgiveness in the snow ❄️😌 One thing I really loved was FL's family ❤ After finding her again years later, they immediately switch into protective mode. Even better, the adopted daughter of the family isn't turned into a cartoon villain. It was refreshing to see the two women acknowledge and support each other instead of fighting over nothing. The wardrobe is gorgeous throughout, and I was obsessed with FL's fur coat 😍

Fav Scene: The final scene where ML and FL give each other an air hug instead of a normal one 🥰 It was simple, adorable, and made me smile❤.

8. He Cures My Depression (2024) - ML: Wang Nan, FL: Zuo Yi

Another one of my favorite soul-swap plots 😁 The main twist here is that ML suffers from depression, which has started affecting his physical health too. Once FL's soul ends up in his body, things gradually begin improving, which was an interesting angle 👍 Wang Nan and Zuo Yi absolutely carried this drama and nailed the body-swap acting. The comedy was especially strong, particularly during the photoshoot scenes where ML in FL's body looked like he'd rather be anywhere else than close to another male model, while FL in ML's body effortlessly served all the right expressions 😂😂 ML's mom was pretty annoying for a while, but thankfully she eventually got the reality check she desperately needed. And because no soul-swap drama is complete without a little chaos, we even get a cross-dressing wedding sequence 😂

Fav Scene: The final wedding scene, hands down. Watching Wang Nan walk out in a full bridal dress was both hilarious and iconic 😁😂.

9. Lun Yi Shang De Shou Hu Shen (2025) - ML: Liu Xiao Xu, FL: Lan Lan

This is the 3rd collab of LXX and Lan Lan, and it starts with an absolute bang 🤯 FL is at her husband's grave, seemingly mourning... only to burst out laughing because she's thrilled he's dead 😂 Turns out the man was a cheating scumbag, and she'd been waiting for freedom for ages. FL and ML then team up to take down the antagonists, especially ML's scheming stepmother and her lover. We also get the classic "ML in a wheelchair" trope, except this man was putting on an Oscar-worthy performance the whole time 😎 The chemistry between the leads is seriously hot 🔥 and I loved the way ML would teasingly call FL "sister-in-law" in that ridiculously attractive voice of his 🔥 The revenge arc is satisfying, the villains get what they deserve, and the ending leaves you smiling ❤

Fav Scene: The final wedding sequence 🥰 Liu Xiaoxu looked incredibly handsome, Lan Lan was absolutely adorable 🥰

Do You Want Good Luck

10. Do You Want Good Luck (2025) - ML: Liu Xiaoxu, FL: Yuan Yu Han

I basically consider this the redemption arc for LXX and Yuan Yuhan after Ruler of My Heart 😂 This time we get a light-hearted metaphysics drama that's more focused on fun than angst, and honestly it works really well. Liu Xiaoxu doing comedy was something I didn't know I needed 😁 The real scene-stealers, though, are the two adorable little kids. I genuinely wanted to adopt them both 😍 The little boy, Chen Yu Chen, has actually been in quite a few short dramas and is listed on MDL ❤ The overall vibe is super cozy, with both ML and FL being massive green flags instead of walking red flags for once. There are plenty of funny moments, wholesome interactions, and just enough metaphysics to keep things interesting.

Fav Scene: ML randomly climbing over a wall in the very first scene 😂 It was so unexpected and unnecessary that I immediately knew this drama wasn't going to take itself too seriously 🤣.

Love Unexpected: He Likes Me Too

11. Love Unexpected: He Likes Me Too (2025) - ML: Zhang Chi, FL: Li Li Zai

Another adaptation of the Shen Zhu Ying-Fu Sizhou plotline, which has been remade multiple times. In an earlier post I mentioned the Huang Haowen-Guo Yuxin version, and these two remain my favorite adaptations of the story 👍 Zhang Chi is as handsome as ever, while Li Li Zai brings such a cute and lovable energy to FL. The styling here is much more subtle, and I absolutely adored the flower shop aesthetics ❤ Beyond the romance, the drama also spends time exploring ML's complicated family dynamics, his lingering guilt over his brother's death, and FL's troublesome father. On the brighter side, FL's mom and ML's grandma are absolute sweethearts ❤ Compared to the Huang Haowen version, which felt a bit more mature and grounded, this one has younger, more spontaneous leads, giving it a different charm. And honestly, one of my favorite running gags was ML randomly blushing every time FL kissed him 🥰

Fav Scene: When ML reads FL's old letter about her crush on "Classmate A," and realizes she was talking about him the entire time 😍 The way he instantly turns shy was absolutely adorable ❤.

Destined to Like You

12. Destined to Like You (2025) - ML: Ma Qian Huan, FL: Chen Si Che

This is one of the 4 adaptations of the He Wang-Shen Qingwu plotline, and alongside the Shao Wei-Sun Lulu version, it's easily my favorite 👍 The setup is already deliciously messy 🤯 ML is a rich, high-handed man who believes FL is his little canary, while FL is actually using him to get close to the people responsible for ruining her sister's life. Even becoming his "canary" was part of her plan 😎 The funniest part is ML himself 😂 This man thinks he's keeping FL in a gilded cage, yet somehow ends up cooking for her, cleaning, living in her house, and driving her to work like a full-time husband. Yes, he has his toxic moments, especially when he confronts FL about birth control and later puts a locator on her. But once everything falls apart, he spends the rest of the drama desperately trying to earn back her love. While ML wasn't directly involved in what happened to FL's sister, the bullies were part of his social circle, which is exactly why FL attached herself to him in the first place. To his credit, he later helps her get justice too. I also liked ML's mother. She did try separating the leads, but unlike most drama moms, she was actually kind-hearted and even helped FL when she wanted to leave. The moment ML learns about FL's bipolar disorder and immediately rushes out to find her was genuinely touching 🥺 The aesthetics are gorgeous, FL's styling is stunning throughout, and I loved that she had a refreshing profession as a perfumer. Definitely a great watch 🔥

Fav Scene: When FL goes missing and ML spends the entire night running around town searching for her 🥺 Only to finally find her asleep in a park. For all his flaws, that scene really hit me right in the feels ❤.

Not so favs (rather call these disliked ones 😅 )

An Li Qing Xin

1. An Li Qing Xin (2024) - ML: Liu Xiaoxu, FL: Lan Lan

This is the first Liu Xiaoxu-Lan Lan collab and, unfortunately, my least favorite one 🙁 It's also the first adaptation of the Fu Guidu-Xu Ni plot, which was later remade with Wang Yiran-Hou Chengyue (my no. 7 above in favs section) and Yu Peishan-Chen Ci. The first half is actually really enjoyable. We get FL trying to seduce ML, plenty of funny moments, sweet interactions, and a lighthearted vibe. Then the second half arrives and drives everything straight into a wall 🙄 ML suddenly becomes unbearably possessive, starts questioning FL's career as a director, and even suspects her relationship with SML... who is literally her brother 🙄 To make things worse, the adopted sister/SFL here is far more vicious than in the later adaptations. We also get the classic nonsense of ML trying to make FL jealous using the SFL, along with a bunch of other frustrating decisions. Thankfully, FL doesn't just sit there and take it. She leaves him, reunites with her family, and doesn't budge even when he starts trying to make amends. Unfortunately, the drama eventually pulls out the infamous "knife of forgiveness" trope when the crazy green tea attacks FL and ML takes the hit for her 😑Overall, the second half was so frustrating that this ended up becoming one of my least rewatched dramas despite a genuinely fun start 🙁.

Shi Gu Wei Qing 

2. Shi Gu Wei Qing (2024) - ML: Zhang Bei Xi, FL: Ou Na

Another one of those absolutely infuriating dramas where FL suffers endlessly because of ML 😡 FL and ML have been married for years and even have a daughter together. Then, out of nowhere, the infamous "white moonlight" returns with her son, and suddenly ML forgets he has a whole wife and child 🙄 I genuinely don't understand why these men marry innocent women in the first place if they're still obsessed with someone else. All they do is make their wives miserable 😡😡 To make things worse, FL is battling cancer, yet ML spends most of the drama misunderstanding her, doubting her, and basically handing a free VIP pass to the green tea. And by green tea, I mean full-on venomous tea ☠️ She even ends up harming his daughter, and this man still keeps making terrible decisions. I only watched this recently after seeing an iQIYI reel on Instagram, and my blood pressure probably hasn't recovered since 😂 The biggest joke, though, is ML's so-called punishment. After all the damage he's caused, his grand retribution is... becoming a monk 🙄 Seriously? That's it? This drama is a certified stress generator. Watched it once, got angry, and have zero plans of putting myself through that again 😤.

Ok so we have the 'pretty smile girl' Jin Zi Xuan and the handsome Shen Haonan and I absolutely love this as a comfort watch. It's a rebirth story and FL was smarter this time around 👍Yes the antagonistic characters are there but FL deals with them aptly. Coming to ML - he has difficulties expressing love because he was shy, but FL does bring him out of the shell. He was so shy and innocent that he did not even know how to kiss 😂 Actually the premise is also refreshing - Female CEO x Professor. The wardrobe was subtle, and the chemistry between leads was really good. Fl's family was trash, but ML's family was really sweet ❤ A great comfort watch

This is a metaphysics themed drama but here unlike the usual metaphysics girls who are either too naive, disconnected from world or hyper energetic, we have a very calm FL 👍The ML too, despite being a CEO is respectful and actually loves his wife without suspicion. This is Shen Haonan and Zuo Yi's 6th collab. The wardrobe of FL is really good with soft toned dresses (I loved that yellow dress ❤). ML wears soft toned cardigans which are pleasing to look at. The antagonists are pretty quickly dealt with by FL. Ofc the ending is rushed but it is a full on fun watch ❤

Fav Scene: When FL secretly gives a talisman to her brother, which ML sees and in a pouty, coy way asks her for one saying that he too wants his 'laopo's' things 😂

Mu Li Se

3. Mu Li Se (2025) - ML: Liu Yu Hang, FL: Guo Yu Xin

So now this is the second adaptation of 'Li Xing-Lou Chong' plots. I had mentioned the Zhao Zhendong Zhai Yiying version in a previous post. For me this one comes a close second. Unlike ZZD version., here ML is collected, calm, but yes he does have that scary, mysterious aura and a higher notch of unpredictable behavior. As usual the leads chemistry is fire 🔥 Liu Yuhang with his sexy voice and the very pretty Guo Yuxin did their parts really well. There are a bit more unresolved things, but it does not hinder the flow of climax. Also there is a 'white moonlight' situation as well, but turns out FL was ML's white moonlight all along. The aesthetics are good, chemistry is top notch and the kisses are 🔥

Fav Scene: When ML and FL go to register their marriage 😂 The receptionist seeing their serious faces tells them the direction to the divorce section 😂😂

A complete laugh riot 😂 We get two transmigrated FLs, Tan Nian and Su Chunhe, whose names are literally a cheeky nod to the actresses playing them 😂 Add to that two MLs who can only communicate through the most formal, eloquent verbal warfare imaginable, and you've got comedy gold. Then there's the poor emperor, who spends the entire drama looking thoroughly traumatized by this chaotic quartet 🤣 My favorite scene was when the girls detected "chemistry" between the MLs and convinced themselves that all the fighting was just a cover for their secret yearning 😂😂 The imaginary love story sequence they cooked up had me wheezing 😁 Bonus points for the gorgeous costumes and styling throughout. ✨

5. Huo Xin An Cang (2025): ML- Liang Siwei, FL- Zhang Qiu Zi

Liang Siwei as a green tea is one of my favorite genres 😁 and him playing the younger bro never misses. Here, FL ends up marrying ML after his elder brother returns with amnesia and a whole wife in tow. What I loved most was how fiercely ML loved, protected, and cared for FL, with the perfect mix of flirting and shameless green tea antics 😎 FL was equally amazing, rocking gorgeous outfits and making decisive choices. The moment she realizes the elder bro is married (and honestly kinda repulsive), she drops her feelings and moves on without a second glance. No pointless angst, no wavering, just full support for ML whenever needed 🔥 Both families were surprisingly wholesome too. And the resident green tea? Dealt with in the most satisfying way possible when ML ships her straight to a mental hospital 😌

Fav Scene: When FL brings a drunk ML home from the bar. The second he spots his brother, he yanks FL onto his lap 🤯 The way that entire scene was shot, combined with Liang Siwei's deadly glare... hot af 🔥🔥.

6. Enchanting Nuptial Hues (2025) - ML: Shen Haonan, FL: Guo Yuxin

To think we have a Shen Haonan + Guo Yuxin in same drama speaks volumes about the visual chemistry 🔥 It starts of funnily with FL confessing to her boss, who is ML and him firing her. In reality poor man was so happy and excited that he blurted out the wrong thing 😂 There is a very annoying green tea but ML does deflect her well. Also there is a saviour trope but for once we have a very intelligent ML who actually does not believe that green tea and investigates 👍 The aesthetics are awesome, and so is the styling (Guo Yuxin's lavender gown was so beautiful 😍). There are minor misunderstandings during which FL does not hesitate to confront ML and ML clears it out as quickly. ML's mother is a whole mood 😎

Fav Scene: When ML's mom dissed ML's dad for trying to separate ML and FL and that too in front of the whole company 😂

A soul swap is always my fav trope, And here we have one of the funniest ones 😂😂 The funny thing was it was evident that it was Wang Yiran in Hou Chengyue's body and Hou Chengyue in his 😂 The acting is super, especially Wang Yiran's coquettish act. ML and FL get married quickly as well because ML's mom was worried if he would go astray 😂There are lot of LOL moments here and it is a real comfort watch. Also as a bonus we have a pregnant FL who again switches soul with ML when she kissed him before going for delivery 😂😂 We also have Wang Yiran wearing a wedding dress (and a skimpy short one at that 😎)

Fav scene: When ML's mom offers FL money and asks her to marry him because she saw him watching male models and dreamed of him in a bridal wedding dress 😂

Ok so this plot has been adapted 3 times, but this one is my absolute fav. The cinematography, acting, aesthetics are all great here ✨ We have Fl who tries to seduce her ex's brother but ends up seducing his uncle. The ML is a cold, stoic character but yes, he definitely loves FL. There was one misunderstanding which I did not like - ML did use FL to deflect his wedding to his fiancee and had sent photos of him with FL for this. But FL does leave him and makes him beg in the snow afterward. FL's family was really sweet ❤ After finding FL after years they quickly jump into protection mode. SFL who was adopted daughter of FL's family, isn't vicious and it was great to see the two women acknowledging each other ❤ The wardrobe was great, and I really loved FL's fur coat

Again one of by fav soul swap plots, The major difference is that ML here has depression which is affecting his body but once FL's soul enters his body it starts getting better 👍 Wang Nan and Zuo Yi slayed this one. This had a lot of funny sequences especially when during a photoshoot ML in FL's body loather getting close to another model, but then FL in ML's body gave all the expressions aptly 😂😂 ML's mom was annoying but then she was given a reality check. We also have a cross dressing wedding sequence here as well 😂

One of my absolute favs among the six collabs of Wang Yiran-Hou Chengyue 🔥 FL is a sassy, smart confident casino owner in the republic era and ML is the so called 'little darling' + young marshal 😎 Here we have a very dominant FL. As usual FL's family is trash and there's this subplot of her trying to rescue her mom. There is also a hidden identity trope but it is resolved well. The styling is really good and the aesthetics as well. ML's adoptive parents really admire and respect FL ❤There are loads of steamy kiss scenes🔥 The revenge is also satisfactory, A good satisfactory watch

Fav Scene: When FL visits her father, stepmother and sister in the prison to mock them and give them a reality check 😎

This is the 3rd collab of LXX and Lan Lan. The first scene is fire in itself - FL who was married to ML's brother is crying at his grave but then she starts laughing because she's happy he's dead 🤯 for that man was a cheater and she wanted him long gone. ML and FL join forces against the antagonists, especially ML's stepmother and her lover. We also have an 'ML in wheelchair' trope but bro was acting 😂 The chemistry is incredibly hot 🔥 I also liked the scenes where ML teasingly called FL 'sister-in-law' with a sexy voice 🔥 The revenge is also satisfactory and it is a happy ending

Fav scene: The final wedding sequence ❤ liu Xiaoxu was handsome and Lan Lan looked so adorable 🥰

Now I consider this as a redemption drama of LXX and Yuan Yuhan's 'Ruler of my Heart'. This one is a really funny, metaphysics themed one. Liu Xiao Xu is doing comedy in here and we have 2 little adorable, cute kiddos (I so wanted to adopt them 😍). The theme is light, ML and FL are peak green flags and there are many fun moments here. Also I don't know the name of the little girl but that little boy Chen Yu Chen has been listed on MDL and has acted in many short dramas ❤

13. Love Unexpected: He Likes Me Too (2025) - ML: Zhang Chi, FL: Li Li Zai

Now this is again one of the adaptations of 'Shen Zhu Ying-Fu Sizhou' plot that has been remade multiple times. In a previous post I mentioned the Huang Haowen- Guo Yuxin version as well. These 2 are my fav adaptations of this storyline 👍 Zhang Chi as always is handsome, and we have a very cute Li Li Zai paired with him. Here the styling was subtle and the flower shop aesthetics were great ❤ The plot also explores ML's dynamics with his family, his guilt over his bro's death and FL's troublesome father. FL's mom and ML's grandma are 2 lovely characters ❤ If Huang Haowen version showed us a bit older, mature leads, here we have a bit younger spontaneous leads. Also I loved the random blushing of ML whenever FL kissed him 🥰

Fav Scene: When ML read FL's letter about her crush on 'classmate A' only to realize it was him all along and gets all shy 😍

14. Destined to Like You (2025) - ML: Ma Qian Huan, FL: Chen Si Che

Ok so this is one of the adaptation of the 'He Wang-Shen Qingwu' plot which has been adapted 4 times. This version and Shaowei-Sun Lulu version are my favs. Here we have a very high handed rich ML who thinks FL is his canary, but FL in turn is using him to get closer to those who harmed her sister 🤯 Even her becoming his canary was a part of her plan. The ML is a whole another level of man - he thinks FL is his canary but then he cooks, cleans, lives in her house and even drives her to work 😂 Yes he was toxic especially when he confronted FL for taking birth control and when he put locator, but then later he really begs for her love. Even though ML did not have any role in FL's sister's situation, he did have the bullies in his circle making FL attach herself to him and use his power, in which later ML assists her as well. ML's mother did try to separate leads, but then she was a kind person as well who helped FL when she wanted to leave ML. Him realizing about her bipolar and running to find her was touching. The aesthetics are really good, especially FL's styling. Also here we have a refreshing profession for FL, that of a perfumer. A great watch indeed 🔥

Fav Scene: When ML runs to find the missing FL, runs throughout the town an entire night and finds her sleeping in a park 🥺 That was too touching

An Li Qing Xin

1. An Li Qing Xin (2024) - ML: Liu Xiaoxu, FL: Lan Lan

Ok so this is the first collab of Liu Xiaoxu-Lan Lan and also my least fav one. This is the first one of the 'Fu Guidu-Xu Ni' plots which was also remade with Wang Yiran-Hou Chengyue (mentioned above on no. 8) and Yu Peishan-Chen Ci. Here again we have FL trying to seduce ML and the first half is really fun, lighthearted and sweet, Then the second Half drives it down the drain 🙄 ML gets unnecessarily possesive, questioning her profession as a director and even her relationship with SML (who was actually her brother) 🙄 Also here the SFL/adopted sister was far visious. We have ML trying to make FL jealous with this SFL and a lot more. But FL firmly leaves, gets back with her family and does not even budge when he attempts amends for reconciliation. But then we do have that 'knife of forgiveness' where that crazy green tea attacks FL and ML takes the hit. This drama was really infuriating in second half and yes, one of my least rewatched ones 🙁

2. Shi Gu Wei Qing (2024) - ML: Zhang Bei Xi, FL: Ou Na

Again one of those damn infuriating plots where FL suffers so much because of ML 😡 The FL and ML are married for years with a daughter, suddenly a 'white moonlight' comes back with her son and voila! ML is captivated towards her. I really don't understand why the men in these dramas even marry another innocent woman if they have a white moonlight even making that poor woman's life a hell 😡😡FL also suffers from cancer and that trash ML continuously misunderstands her, even gives a free pass to that green tea (I'd call her a venomous tea) to even harm his daughter. Seriously, I watched this only a few days ago when I saw a reel of IQIYI on instagram page. And mind you, ML's retribution is only becoming a monk 🙄 Like seriously? It is a high stress increaser drama. Watched it once and that's it

So the thing is let me tell you - THIS IS STRICTLY NOT A HATE POST. It's just an opinion post, the idea inspiration which came from a fellow redditor.

Sometimes we do often feel that some actors who are really good at acting, have great face card and chemistry with co-actors, but still we really cannot feel the like towards them as towards others 😅

So here are my picks

1. Wang Yanxin: Tbh I have watched a lot of dramas of his, and a majority of their plots aren't to my taste because of the ML characters in it. Ofc he is a very good actor, but most of the times his show characters are passive-aggressive, sc*m husband type of characters. The positive role characters are very less in his filmography, for example as in 'Luring Divine to Descend'.

2. He Jianqi: Now the same issue that I said previously exists here as well. I have watched a lot of He Jianqi dramas and a majority of them have him as the passive aggressive husband or ML characters who are majorly dismissive towards FLs 🙁 his acting is really good and that face card 😍 but this is the thing 😅

So these 2 were my picks. Please don't bash me, this isn't a hate post. Just a random opinion post.

My favs:

1. Yue Bu Fu Li Ming (2025) - ML: Wang Hao Zhen, FL: Wang Ge Ge

The very first Wang Haozhen × Wang Gege collaboration, and it absolutely did not disappoint ❤️ In fact, this is still my favorite drama of theirs. I enjoyed it far more than Sister's Heist because the ML here is a genuine sweetheart instead of someone you spend half the drama wanting to shake 😅 It's one of my comfort watches because it has one of my favorite combinations: a strong, decisive FL and a loving, steady ML 🥹 Both were originally engaged to other people, but when those weddings fall apart, they gradually find comfort and happiness with each other. What really stood out was the communication. The leads actually talk to each other 🙌 The only misunderstanding came from some nosy village women swapping the FL's letter, and even that was resolved quickly instead of being dragged out for half the drama 😂 I also appreciated how the drama handled the ML's PTSD. Rather than pretending it didn't exist, he actively sought treatment and worked through it. The FL's support throughout that journey made their relationship feel even more genuine ❤️ The visuals were stunning, the setting was beautiful, and the traditional outfits were absolutely gorgeous 😍 The ML's mother was lovely, and the eventual exposure of the green tea and the aunt's family was both satisfying and hilarious 😌

Fav Scene: When the FL joined the ML at the treatment center just so he wouldn't have to face it alone ❤️

2. Secret Crush on Page 72 (2025) - ML: Chen Zheng Yang, FL: Gong Fang Ni

Secret Crush on Page 72 is the perfect mix of adorable, romantic, and a shameless thirst trap 😌🔥 Gong Fangni was fantastic as a girl navigating a very relatable crush, turning her daydreams into artistic inspiration. And then there's Chen Zhengyang... the production team knew exactly what they were doing because every scene seemed designed to show off his charm, especially that iconic rain painting sequence 🔥 What I loved most was how realistic the FL's crush felt. The awkwardness, excitement, and embarrassment were portrayed so well. Despite the age gap, the romance never felt uncomfortable, and the chemistry between the leads was lovely ❤️ The green tea trying to steal both the FL's man and her work was infuriating, but her downfall was immensely satisfying 😎 The romance was sweet, the best friend was supportive, and even the elders were warm and lovable, making the whole drama a very enjoyable watch 🥹❤️

Fav Scene: The rain painting scene where the ML models for the FL for the first time 🫠 Also loved the heartfelt moment when the ML's father personally wrote the couple's marriage letter ❤️✨

3. Love Genius: Master of Romance (2025): Starring ML: Wang Yiran, FL: Shi Tong

One of my favorite Wang Yiran × Shi Tong collaborations ❤️ The plot has been adapted many times, but this version remains my absolute favorite. Shi Tong effortlessly brings her trademark quirkiness to the FL, who ends up changing the fate of practically every character in the world she transmigrates into 😆 Her interactions with her brothers-in-law were hilarious, and I loved how she kept talking nonstop in an attempt to get the quiet ML to speak 😂 The ML starts off as a man of very few words, but Wang Yiran's expressive eyes do most of the talking anyway 😍 It was also fun watching the FL accidentally turn the story's supposed female lead into one of her biggest admirers. The chemistry, comedy, and character dynamics were all done so well, making this one of the most entertaining adaptations of the story ❤️

Fav Scene: After dealing with her brothers-in-law at the bar, the FL takes the ML home on her tiny scooter 😁 Watching the huge ML awkwardly squeezed onto the back while she happily drove off was absolutely hilarious 😂🛵💕

4. He An Lian Duì Xiang Xian Hun Hou Ai Le (2024) - ML: Wang Haozhen, FL: Shi Tong

Another calm, beautifully made drama that's incredibly soothing to watch ❤️ The leads enter an arranged marriage, with the FL having quietly loved the ML for years. What I found refreshing was that the ML doesn't suddenly remember their past connection or hidden history. Instead, he genuinely falls in love with her in real time, which made their romance feel much more natural 🥹 It's definitely a slow burn, but the acting carries it effortlessly. Since both leads are introverted, a lot of the emotions are conveyed through subtle expressions and small gestures rather than dramatic declarations, and it works beautifully ✨ The families are also wonderfully supportive, adding to the warm and comforting atmosphere of the drama ❤️ A gentle, mature romance that's perfect when you're in the mood for something soft and heartfelt 💖 Special shoutout to their little kitten as well ❤️

Fav Scene: When the ML shows up at the airport with flowers and the FL runs straight into his arms for a hug 🥹🌸❤️ That scene was pure sweetness.

5. Pampered: My Sweet Opera Star Husband Is a Young Marshal (2026) - ML: Zhang Chi, FL: Liu Nian

This was the very first Zhang Chi drama I watched, and honestly, I was completely bowled over by his performance 🤯 The drama flips the usual dynamic by giving us a dominant FL and a soft, elegant opera-actor ML. There's plenty of angst and misunderstandings along the way, but the chemistry between the leads makes it all worthwhile ❤️ Zhang Chi was the standout for me. His performance was nuanced, emotional, and incredibly captivating. And let's be honest, he looked absolutely stunning in the female opera costume 😍 The elegance, the mannerisms, the screen presence... everything was on point. Liu Nian was equally impressive. Her confrontation scenes carried a lot of emotional weight and intensity, making the push-and-pull between the leads feel believable ✨

Fav Scene: The shadow dance sequence where the ML performs for the FL from behind the curtains 💖 It was such an ethereal and beautifully choreographed scene. The lighting, the movement, and Zhang Chi's performance came together perfectly to create one of the most memorable moments in the drama 🥹✨❤️

6. Taste of Summer (2026): Starring ML: Huang Haowen, FL: Chen Yuling

One of the more recent dramas I've watched, and honestly, I've already rewatched it way too many times 😆❤️ The premise is fairly simple: a transmigrated FL with a system and special abilities marries an anorexic prince with selective mutism. But what makes it stand out is how kind the leads are. Unlike many similar stories where the ML starts off cold and dismissive, both the FL and ML genuinely want the best for each other from the beginning 🥹 The FL sincerely works to improve his condition, while the ML is an absolute sweetheart who supports everything she does. Whether it's helping her start a school, presenting her ideas to the emperor, or simply backing her up, he's always in her corner ❤️ Another huge plus is the lack of annoying villains. The antagonists get very little screentime, and whenever they do appear, the FL deals with them efficiently instead of dragging things out 😌 Chen Yuling was adorable as always. Her bright smile is one of her biggest charms❤️ Huang Haowen also continues his streak of playing green-flag MLs, and he was wonderfully lovable here.

Fav Scene: When the green tea insults the FL and the ML immediately orders his guard to slap her for disrespecting his "Princess" 🔥👑 The speed at which he shut that down was immensely satisfying 😎❤️

7. Wo Ben Wei Mo Fan Chen (2025) - ML: Huang Hao Wen, FL: Guo Yu Xin

One of the better adaptations of this frequently remade plot, alongside the Zhang Chi–Li Li Zai version ❤️ What makes it stand out is the mature relationship between the leads. Their flash marriage isn't filled with typical contract-marriage misunderstandings. Instead, they gradually learn about each other and build genuine love. The FL has secretly loved the ML for eight years, making many of their moments together especially heartwarming 🥹 The FL being a florist and the ML a diplomat was a refreshing change from the usual CEO trope 🌸✨ I also appreciated that the drama treated the FL's hearing impairment realistically rather than magically curing it for a perfect ending. The supportive families, particularly the FL's loving grandparents, added plenty of warmth, while Guo Yuxin's beautiful styling and the charming village scenes enhanced the cozy atmosphere. It's a sweet, comforting watch that leaves you smiling 🥰

Fav Scene: The ML discovers a letter the FL wrote to him years ago and finally realizes how long she has loved him. Watching him tear up with happiness after reading it was an incredibly touching moment ❤️✨🥹

One of the best versions of this storyline and easily among my favorite Zeng Hui–Han Yutong collaborations ❤️ The plot kicks off when the hidden-identity ML unexpectedly volunteers to play the FL's "mistress" as she tries to break up with her ex, leading to a fun and engaging romance 😎 What stood out most was the way the SML's parents treated the FL. They genuinely loved and supported her like their own daughter, often showing her more care than her biological parents ever did 🥹 The leads shared fantastic chemistry, with a passionate romance balanced by plenty of drama and revenge. The FL was a standout heroine: intelligent, ambitious, and strong enough to stand her ground, while Zeng Hui's occasional green-tea behavior added some hilarious moments 😂 The green-tea sister, the SML, and the FL's parents were incredibly frustrating villains 😤, which made their eventual comeuppance all the more satisfying. Packed with romance, revenge, and a capable FL constantly proving everyone wrong, this drama delivers an entertaining watch from beginning to end 🔥❤️✨😎.

9. Da Wu San Jin (2025) - ML: Liu Xiao Xu, FL: Chen Lu Xi

This one was surprisingly powerful. The FL is reborn after being slowly poisoned to death in her previous life by the ML's family simply because she loved him 😭 Believing the ML abandoned her back then, she returns with no thoughts of romance and instead uses him as part of her revenge plan. The biggest twist is that the ML is the one who made her rebirth possible. He knows exactly what she's doing, sees through all her manipulation, and still chooses to support her. What makes the story even stronger is that the FL isn't the only victim. The seemingly vicious green-tea SFL turns out to be a tragic pawn, manipulated and mentally controlled by the ML's mother 😡, who easily takes the crown as the drama's most infuriating villain. Thankfully, the ML doesn't hesitate to deal with her when the truth comes out. The revenge here isn't loud or flashy, but it's calculated, satisfying, and emotionally impactful 🔥 With layered characters, unexpected twists, and a deeply devoted ML, the drama delivers a rewarding revenge story from start to finish.

Fav Scene: The FL deliberately triggers the ML's father's heart attack by sending him photos of herself with the ML. Afterwards, she tries to provoke the ML, convinced he'll finally punish her, only to discover that he has already erased every piece of evidence linking her to the incident 🤯❤️.

10. Zhuo Mu (2025) - ML: Xu Yue, FL: Wang Zi Jia

Another one of my favorite revenge dramas, with leads whose levels of obsession and determination match each other perfectly 🔥 It's a classic rebirth story featuring a devoted, slightly unhinged ML, but what makes it work is how the FL gradually earns his trust and then turns his influence against the family that wronged her. The ML was the standout for me. The actor conveyed so much through his expressions alone, whether it was hatred, vulnerability, or devotion 🥹 The leads shared incredible chemistry, and the FL's revenge plans were both clever and satisfying. Rather than falling into her family's traps, she consistently turned their schemes back on them. One of the most memorable moments was when she disguised herself as her late mother's ghost and slowly drove her father into panic 🤯 The romance complemented the revenge perfectly. The ML was utterly devoted, and his emotional breakdown, where he begged the FL to use him however she wished as long as she didn't abandon him, was heartbreaking 🥺 The pair also looked stunning together, especially during the wedding scenes ❤️

Fav Scene: When the FL's scheming stepsister tries to seduce the ML, only for him to tie her up and worry that the FL might think of him as dirty because of the situation 😂 The fallout for the green-tea sister afterwards was incredibly satisfying as well 🔥.

11. Miss Jiang, How Have You Been? - ML: Wang Chen Peng, FL: Wang Zijia

Of the three adaptations of the Jiang Yusang–Song Siyan storyline, this ended up being my favorite 👍 While the core plot remains the same, this version gives much more insight into the ML's perspective, showing why he chose to break up with the FL and how deeply he suffered afterwards while quietly longing for her. The breakup hits especially hard here. Unlike Dong Yi-Yao Yuchen version, the ML's harsh words and leaving the FL alone in the rain make him feel genuinely at fault, and you can really feel the FL's heartbreak and helplessness 😭 Her continued rejection of him later feels completely understandable given that trauma. Although the FL can seem naive when it comes to her so-called family, it's largely because she genuinely believed she was loved and cared for. Once she learns the truth, however, she doesn't hesitate to hold them accountable, especially her adoptive mother for harming the ML's mother. What ultimately won me over was seeing everything the ML had secretly done for the FL over the years. From protecting her behind the scenes to anonymously shielding her from an acid attack 🥺, he more than made up for his past mistakes. The FL also shines by investigating on her own, gathering evidence, and helping the ML finally get justice for his mother ❤️ The besties of both ML and FL are rally awesome characters who support them really well

Fav Scenes: The ML's proposal, where a rain of balloons carrying handwritten love notes serves as an apology for the day he left her heartbroken in the rain, was incredibly touching 🥹. Another favorite was the FL secretly collecting evidence and helping bring justice to the ML's mother without seeking any credit for herself ❤️.

12. Captive Love from the Mob Boss - ML: Ma Xiao Yu, FL: Zhang Chu Xuan

This!! This drama 😭 I genuinely have a love-hate relationship with it, but somehow the things I loved won in the end, so here it is 😂 Pretty sure everyone has watched this one at least once and came away with the exact same mixed feelings. The ML is a walking black flag 🚩 Like sir literally threatens the FL into marrying him by basically saying "say yes or everyone dies" 😨 Yet somehow the chemistry between these two was absolutely insane 🔥 The FL may be pitiful at times, but she definitely knows how to hit back. She literally fakes her death and later even lures the ML to a ruined warehouse intending to kill him because she believes he murdered her father 🤯 There's so much push and pull, angst, misunderstandings, and toxic nonsense that you really have to switch off your brain for this one 😅 But somehow it works. And as a bonus, we get the leads with their son, who's basically a tiny clone of the ML 😂 Even funnier, the once terrifying mob boss becomes surprisingly submissive around his wife and kid. The plot is messy, the ML is toxic, my blood pressure suffered... but the chemistry was chemistry-ing in every single frame 🔥❤️ Watch only if you're in the mood for some completely brainless toxicity and maximum emotions 😂.

13. Luring the Divine to Descend (2024): Starring ML: Wang Yanxin, FL: Wang GeGe

This is one of the earlier dramas, so don't expect much skinship 😅 But honestly, the sweetness more than makes up for it. The leads were high school classmates, and while the FL had a crush on the ML back then, she never realized he loved her just as much. Due to various circumstances, they ended up separated for 10 years, only for the ML to quietly spend all those years planning his way back to her and eventually marrying her 🥹❤️ The ML is an absolute green flag. Loving, patient, devoted, and basically the kind of man these dramas rarely give us 😂 The FL's family was also wonderful, especially her grandma, who added so much warmth to the story ❤️ There's a green tea lurking around, but thankfully she never becomes too much of a headache and gets dealt with fairly quickly. Also, Wang GeGe looked gorgeous throughout. Her qipaos were stunning, and the hairstyles complemented them perfectly ✨

Fav Scene: When the FL finally discovers that the ML had loved her all those years and sees the countless messages he had sent through the old phone over the past decade that she never received 🥹💔❤️

14. My All-Powerful Husband (2026): ML- Qian Zhe, FL-Wang Yiyang

One of the few Qian Zhe–Wang Yiyang dramas that I absolutely love ❤️ It's a rebirth story where the FL marries the ML after discovering the SML cheated on her, all while being completely convinced that the ML is just some poor beggar 😂 The plot is honestly peak drama logic and I mean that affectionately 😭 The ML turns out to be the owner of a massive tech company, a ridiculously profitable island, a cybersecurity genius, and somehow also has a robot child calling him dad and the FL mom 🤣 Add in a bike-riding grandma and enough wealth to buy half the planet, and the whole thing becomes gloriously unrealistic 😂😂 What makes it fun is that the identity-hiding phase doesn't drag on forever, and once they're married, the ML basically decides being a house-husband is his true calling 😎 Qian Zhe's green-tea antics were hilarious, Wang Yiyang looked gorgeous throughout, and honestly this couple is such a visual treat 😍 Qian Zhe's styling especially made him look so much younger here. Is the plot cheesy? Absolutely. Does any of it make sense? Probably not 😂 But it's one of my favorite comfort watches and a perfect stress-buster

Fav Scene: When the FL gets kidnapped and the assistant frantically informs the ML, only to find him peacefully pruning plants for the FL 🌱😎 Turns out he'd already anticipated the danger and had safeguards in place long before anyone else even realized there was a problem.

15.  Snowy Night Wedding in the Capital (2026): ML- Shu Tong, FL- Mi Qi

Mi Qi is one of my must-watch actresses 👍 I love how she consistently chooses strong FL roles instead of the usual damsel-in-distress characters. This drama follows a flash marriage setup, but what makes it refreshing is how respectful the leads are toward each other from the very beginning. The ML is a complete green flag, supportive and never dismissive of the FL, while the FL herself is more than capable of handling the toxic family members who try to make her life difficult 😎 What I enjoyed most was how calm and mature the story felt. There are practically zero misunderstandings between the leads, and they always communicate and trust each other ❤️ Shu Tong is especially adorable in these sweetheart roles, and his chemistry with Mi Qi was lovely to watch. It's a sweet, low-stress drama with a capable FL, a devoted ML, and plenty of wholesome moments without unnecessary drama ✨

Fav Scene: That hilarious moment when the leads were finally trying to get romantic, only for the ML to discover that the FL had somehow managed to wear what felt like 3-4 layers of pants 😂 The look on his face was absolutely priceless 🤣❤️.

16. Abnormal Trial Marriage - ML: Shi Kang, FL: Liang Wen Jing

This is one of my favorite comfort-watch dramas ❤️ Even though this plot has been remade countless times, this version stands out because of its beautiful aesthetics, lovable characters, and the natural way the relationship develops. It's a transmigration-into-a-book story where everyone keeps warning the FL that the ML is a cold-blooded villain, but he's actually one of the sweetest green flags around 🥹 The FL's uncle's family provides the usual dose of scheming relatives, but thankfully the FL knows exactly how to deal with them, so their antics never become too frustrating 😎 One thing I really appreciated was how the drama handled the topic of housewives. When the FL is questioned about her career, she confidently defends her choices and highlights the value of domestic work, which was refreshing to see ❤️ Her best friend was also an absolute mood 😂 The costumes were gorgeous, and both leads looked stunning in every scene ✨

Fav Scene: When the FL's aunt and green-tea cousin spot dark marks on the FL's hands and immediately assume the ML has been abusing her 😱, only to proudly "expose" him in front of everyone... and then discover the marks are just eyeshadow swatches 🤣

Ta Cong Chen Shui Zhong Xing Lai

1. Ta Cong Chen Shui Zhong Xing Lai (2024) - ML: Zhao Zhen Dong, FL: Meng Na

This one clearly crossed straight into “why did I even watch this” territory 😭 The drama stacks up just about every unpleasant trope at once: a deeply selfish ML, a disturbing level of manipulation, a venomous green-tea character (more like poisoned tea 😡), and a FL + daughter who spend most of the story suffering through it all. The ML’s actions are especially hard to sit with, going as far as implanting a frkin worm in his own daughter just so that he can control her and make her a scapegoat donor for his son's heart 😨 While Meng Na’s character does get a gradual shift in strength, it doesn’t really balance out how intense and unsettling much of the narrative feels. Tbh I really had to teak a break from watching ZZD on screen after watching this, and only after watching some 7-8 sweet dramas of his was I feeling better. Who even writes such characters 😡 Tbh this was first collab of ZZD and Meng Na with second one, Love is Forbidden in Marriage, being the same toxic pool. But this one really crosses the limit. Watched it once and really don't want to rewatch.

Bu Fu Dang Nian Qing Shi Yu

2. Bu Fu Dang Nian Qing Shi Yu (2025) - ML: Liang Si Wei, FL: Ma Le Jie

This is definitely one of those “watch at your own risk” dramas 😭 It leans heavily into pain and misunderstanding without giving the audience much relief or proper closure. The ML’s character is especially hard to sit through. Despite the FL going through immense emotional and physical suffering, including pregnancy and baby loss, he continues to treat her with cruelty and even blames her years later for his mother’s suicide, even though she was never responsible for it 😒 What makes it worse is the lack of a meaningful apology or accountability arc, which leaves the whole storyline feeling unresolved and frustrating. Ironically, the side characters end up being the most likeable part. The SML and the ML’s fiancée stand out, especially the fiancée’s focus on genuine female friendship with FL❤️ The acting itself is solid, but the styling choices really don’t help the experience 😅 The FL’s brown wig in particular was so, so jarring 😒. Overall, it’s a drama carried by strong performances but weighed down by its harsh writing choices and lack of satisfying emotional payoff. Definitely not something to pick up on a bad day unless emotional damage is the goal 😭

3. Fury of the Reborn Lady (2024) - ML: Liang Siwei, FL: Zhang Shan Shan

This one really sits in that category of “I watched it so you don’t have to” 😭 The entire foundation being built on the ML’s misunderstanding already makes it a tough start, but the way it unfolds only adds more frustration. The FL is trapped in a cycle shaped by his belief that she is manipulative, leading to a marriage born out of coercion and pregnancy rather than trust or love. From there, the story keeps piling on the usual toxic elements: the green-tea sister, an unbearable mother-in-law, and an ML whose behavior becomes increasingly hard to justify 😒 What makes it especially infuriating is how the FL’s suffering never really translates into meaningful accountability for the ML. Instead of a satisfying reckoning, the narrative steers toward reconciliation, which feels even more jarring given the harm caused across 2 lives. Even the daughter’s involvement in pushing them back together was so bad, the same child whose so called father's sister got her killed in previous life🤦‍♀️ The FL choosing to return rather than walk away for good makes the emotional payoff feel deeply unsatisfying, especially when the ML is arguably the one who needed to face consequences the most. No wonder it’s firmly in my “never again” pile 😅

4. Thinking of You, Morning and Night - ML: Wang Haozhen, FL: Jin Zi

Please read this before hating me for this 😅 Not that the drama was bad, it's a really well made one with great acting. This is one of the recently released ones dramas that’s definitely going to split opinions, and I get why you’d land on the critical side after watching it multiple times 😶 Even though the ML is framed as a “protective savior” type, there are several moments where his choices feel morally questionable rather than romantic. One major issue is the fact that he was aware of the FL’s ex’s situation but chose not to intervene early, instead letting events unfold in a way that positioned himself as her only support. That kind of calculated silence makes his “rescue” feel more strategic than purely kind. Then there’s the wedding night dynamic, which I really found uncomfortable 😔ML knew FL's heart wasn't in it yet he went forward with doing the deed with her on the first day itself instead of winning her heart slowly and steadily and mind you she was probably just 20 😭😱FL didn't want to give birth at that time, and going by ages she was just 21. Yet ML made her give birth and her friend says this as well when she had scheduled abortion, FL played violin continuously for 8 hours so much that her neck started bleeding. That much pressure she was under yet ML made her give birth. Now coming to FL, I won't really entirely blame her but she was blameworthy for neglecting that baby so much that he believed his mom hated him 😭 that baby was faultless, and one more thing was that how disconnected she was from her own parents that she didn't know about their surgery (credit to ML for not allowing them to inform her, like what man🙄🙄). The making, acting and visuals are top notch and I guess Wang Haozhen probably cried his heart out for this. I expected the same that I'll feel really bad for ML seeing the sneak peeks but I guess I was wrong because both he and FL were really questionable humans. The only person I really felt sad for was that son who was caught in adults crossfire. Any ways, all's well that ends well and leads got a happy ending with their son

1. When Fish Swim Towards Land (2026) - ML: Hei Ze, FL: Zhao Xi Xi

A drama made with so much sweetness and love ❤️ This is genuinely an absolute gem and one of the best short dramas I've watched. No ridiculous misunderstandings, no forced separations, no endless angst. Just two genuinely lovely people meeting, getting to know each other, and falling in love 🥹 And for once, there are no CEOs involved either 😂 The FL is a kindergarten teacher, while the ML owns an aquarium and is the adoptive father of one of her students. The child actor was absolutely adorable and added so much warmth to the story ❤️ The dynamic between the three of them felt natural and heartwarming. I also loved how steadfast the FL was. When her parents pressured her to leave the ML, she didn't waver even for a second. Meanwhile, the ML remained completely devoted to her from beginning to end 🥹 The chemistry between the leads was excellent, and their romantic moments felt natural and believable rather than rushed. ✨ More than anything, this drama felt refreshingly realistic. No over-the-top villains, no unnecessary drama, just a healthy relationship built on trust, communication, and mutual support ❤️ One of the most realistic and wholesome portrayals of love in vertical short dramas, and a comfort watch I'll happily revisit again and again 🥰✨❤️

This is such a sweet and comforting drama ❤️ The ML and FL start off as a pretend couple, with the ML secretly crushing on her for years, but what makes it stand out is how warm and respectful they are toward each other from the very beginning. Even when they argue, it feels mature and sensible instead of turning into unnecessary drama 👍 The FL is smart, confident, and more than capable of handling herself. The would-be green tea barely gets a chance to cause trouble because the FL shuts her down so efficiently, with the ML practically watching from the sidelines like a proud fan 😂 The ML is an absolute sweetheart, and his grandma is just as lovable 🥹 One thing that really stood out to me was how he reacted when the FL brought home a dog. Despite being allergic, he never asked her to give it away because he knew how much it meant to her ❤️ I also loved how the FL's kindness naturally drew good people into her life. The friendships, family interactions, and supportive side characters made the whole drama feel warm and genuine ✨ The ending is especially sweet, with the FL becoming pregnant and the couple starting a new chapter together 🥰 A wholesome, low-stress comfort watch with green-flag leads, adorable family dynamics, and enough warmth to leave you smiling long after it's over ❤️✨

4. Yue Bu Fu Li Ming (2025) - ML: Wang Hao Zhen, FL: Wang Ge Ge

The very first Wang Haozhen × Wang Gege collaboration, and it absolutely did not disappoint ❤️ In fact, this is still my favorite drama of theirs. I enjoyed it far more than Sister's Heist because the ML here is a genuine sweetheart instead of someone you spend half the drama wanting to shake 😅 It's one of my comfort watches because it has one of my favorite combinations: a strong, decisive FL and a loving, steady ML 🥹 Both were originally engaged to other people, but when those weddings fall apart, they gradually find comfort and happiness with each other. What really stood out was the communication. The leads actually talk to each other! 🙌 The only misunderstanding came from some nosy village women swapping the FL's letter, and even that got resolved quickly without dragging for half of the drama 😂 I also loved how the drama handled the ML's PTSD. Rather than pretending it didn't exist, he actively sought treatment. The visuals were stunning, the setting was beautiful, and the traditional outfits were absolutely gorgeous 😍 The ML's mother was lovely, and the eventual exposure of the green tea and the aunt's family was both satisfying and hilarious 😌 A sweet, mature romance with beautiful costumes, healthy communication, and two leads who genuinely support each other. An entirely satisfying watch ❤️✨

5. Secret Crush on Page 72 (2025) - ML: Chen Zheng Yang, FL: Gong Fang Ni

This drama is the perfect mix of adorable, romantic, and unapologetically a thirst trap 😌🔥 Secret Crush on Page 72 perfectly captures the way a lot of people fantasize about their crushes, except our FL takes it to the next level by using the ML's features as inspiration for her work 😂 Gong Fangni was fantastic here. She balanced being cute and bubbly while still feeling mature enough for the story. And then there's Chen Zhengyang... The production team knew exactly what they were doing. They went all in on making him look sexily attractive, and honestly, it worked. The rain painting scene alone was enough to make this drama memorable 🔥 What surprised me most was how realistic the FL's crush felt. The awkwardness, daydreaming, excitement, and embarrassment all felt very relatable. Despite the age gap, the romance never came across as creepy since the FL is an adult, and the story handles their dynamic quite well. Of course, we also get an absolutely infuriating green tea who tries to steal both the FL's man and her work 😒 But her downfall is immensely satisfying, so patience pays off 😎 The romance was sweet, the FL's best friend was wonderfully supportive, and even the older generation characters were warm and lovable ❤️

Fav Scene: The painting sequence where the ML stands in the rain as the FL's model for the first time 🫠 Another standout moment was when the ML's father lovingly wrote the marriage letter for the couple. It was such a heartfelt scene 🥹❤️

Zhe Ta Ying Gu

6. Zhe Ta Ying Gu (2025) - ML: Bai Fang Wen, FL: Xiang Yun Jie

This is another one of those multiple times remade plots, and interestingly, it's one of the rare stories where I genuinely enjoy multiple adaptations at the same time. I had already mentioned the Wang Nan-Zuo Yi version in my very first post, and this one stands right alongside it ❤️ The setup is the classic "painter girl pretends to be crazy and gets picked up by a cold CEO" plot, but what really sells this version is the acting. Bai Fangwen is excellent as always, while Xiang Yunjie gets the meatier role and absolutely delivers 🔥 One thing to note though: this version is much harder to watch at times because the FL's suffering and torture are shown far more explicitly than in the Wang Nan-Zuo Yi adaptation 😔 The costumes were gorgeous, and I really loved the FL's confidante. The relationship between the leads was also surprisingly funny. The ML is clearly falling for her, yet keeps restraining himself because he genuinely believes she's mentally unwell 🤣 I still remember a comment that perfectly summed them up: "One is pretending crazy, and the other is actually crazy." 😂 I also appreciated how the revenge arc was more fleshed out here. The antagonists got proper consequences, and the FL's revenge felt earned. The ML's sister was another highlight. She was sweet, supportive, and genuinely cared about the FL ❤️A darker, more intense take on the story with fantastic performances, satisfying revenge, and just the right amount of chaos 😌✨❤️

Fav Scene: When the ML finally discovered that the FL wasn't mentally ill and the way he processed that revelation, and of course when the FL finally got revenge on the people who had destroyed her life 🔥

7. Wo Ben Wei Mo Fan Chen (2025) - ML: Huang Hao Wen, FL: Guo Yu Xin

This is another one of those heavily remade plots, but alongside the Zhang Chi–Li Li Zai version, it's easily one of my favorite adaptations ❤️ What I loved most was how mature the relationship felt. The leads get into a flash marriage, but instead of the usual contract-marriage antics, they genuinely put effort into understanding each other and building real feelings 🥹 The FL has actually been crushing on the ML for eight years, which makes many of their later moments even sweeter. The professions were a refreshing change too. The FL is a florist while the ML is a diplomat, which felt a lot more interesting than the usual CEO setup 🌸✨ One thing I appreciated was how the drama handled the FL's hearing impairment. It wasn't magically cured at the end just to give us a perfect ending. The families were wonderful, especially the FL's grandparents ❤️ They were so loving and supportive that every scene with them felt warm and comforting. And of course, Guo Yuxin's styling was gorgeous as always 😍 The traditional outfits during the village scenes were especially beautiful. The entire drama is packed with sweet moments and has such a cozy atmosphere. It's one of those shows you can watch when you just want to smile and feel good 🥰

Fav Scene: When the ML found the letter the FL had written to him years earlier and finally realized how long she had loved him. Watching him cry tears of happiness after reading it was such a beautiful moment ❤️✨🥹

8. Prince of Beijing Circle (2024) - ML: Zeng Hui, FL: Han Yu Tong

One of the best adaptations of this storyline and easily one of my favorite Zeng Hui–Han Yutong collaborations ❤️ We have the classic hidden-identity ML who unexpectedly volunteers to become the FL's "mistress" when she's trying to break up with her ex, and from there the story takes off in the most entertaining way 😎 What really stood out to me was how the SML's parents treated the FL. They genuinely saw her as a daughter and cared for her more than her own biological parents did, which made many of their scenes surprisingly emotional 🥹 The chemistry between the leads was fantastic, and the romance felt passionate without overshadowing the rest of the story. Zeng Hui's occasional green-tea antics were hilarious 😂 while the FL was exactly the kind of heroine I love: career-driven, intelligent, and strong enough to stand her ground no matter what. Of course, the green-tea sister, the SML, and the FL's biological parents were absolutely infuriating 😤 Every time they appeared on screen, my patience took damage. There were so many satisfying moments that it's honestly hard to pick a single favorite scene. Between the romance, the revenge, and the FL constantly proving everyone wrong, the drama kept delivering from start to finish 🔥 A highly entertaining watch with a strong FL, a devoted ML, plenty of chemistry, and some extremely satisfying comeuppance for the villains ❤️✨😎

9. Da Wu San Jin (2025) - ML: Liu Xiao Xu, FL: Chen Lu Xi

Ngl This one really was such a powerful one. Ofc here the FL is reborn after she was slowly poisoned in her previous life by ML's family just because she had feelings for him 😭 In the new life she really believed that ML had left her in lurch in last life and instead of feelings of love she uses manipulation on him. The biggest twist was it was ML who enabled her rebirth and very well knew what she was doing yet still went with it. Now it was not just FL who was driven to point of revenge. The SFL may appear a green tea vicious woman but in fact poor girl was just manipulated and somewhat fed something that messed with her brain and this was also the handiwork of ML's mother 😡 That woman was the most infuriating character here and I'm glad ML dealt with her well. A great satisfactory drama, ofc the revenge is subtle but powerful 🔥

Fav Scene: When FL caused ML's father's heart attack by sending him her and ML's photos, and the confrontation scene after that where she tried to provoke ML, firmly believing that he'll punish her but is surprised to see that he has removed every evidence of what she did 🤯

Another one of my fav revenge dramas and here the leads really match each other's craziness well. Ofc it is a rebirth plot + a yandere ML, and we do have one uncomfortable choke scene, but then FL works on making ML believe in her and also use his powers against her evil family 🔥The ML, man I was so impressed by this actor 🔥 his eyes convey so much emotion whether it is hate or lost feeling 🥹 The leads definitely had fire chemistry and I loved how she planned out the revenge well. this one had so many satisfying revenge sequences with FL not falling for her so called family's schemes but turning it on them. I loved how she, dressed up as her late mother's ghost, drove her father crazy 🤯 The ML was an out and out devoted guy. His crying scene when he begged FL to use him any way she wanted but not to abandon him was so emotional 🥺 The leads absolutely looked gorgeous, especially in that wedding scene ❤

Fav Scene: When FL's step sister tries to seduce ML but he ties her up and is worried if FL would think of him as dirty 😂 The later scene of what they did to that green tea was great as well

Miss Jiang, How Have You Been?

11. Miss Jiang, How Have You Been? - ML: Wang Chen Peng, FL: Wang Zijia

So this is one of 'Jiang Yusang-Song Siyan' plot which already has 3 versions with first one being Dong Yi-Yao Yuchen version. But to be honest I loved this version more 👍 It had more of ML's backstory, why he broke up and how he too suffered greatly post breakup yearning for FL. Ofc there's a lot of chase and we do feel that ML is the guilty party, especially his words during the breakup sequence and leaving her in rain (this was kinda less in Dong Yi version where he just says breakup and leaves). We could see FL's helplessness in that scene 😭The FL did appear dumb when it came to her so-called family, but I would not really blame her because she was really raised with love, or she felt like that. But once she leaves, she does make them pay, especially her adopted mother for harming ML's mom. FL's friends were really good, and we could see how FL's continuous rejection towards ML came from her past trauma. Honestly I did condemn ML, but then seeing all that he did for FL secretly over the years (especially shielding her from that acid attack anonymously 🥺) he had made up more than needed for him breaking up with her. FL too, investigated, gathered evidence and helped him get justice for his mom ❤

Fav Scenes: When ML proposed to FL with a balloon rain which was a make-up gesture for leaving FL heartbroken in rain and each balloon had a note of love 🥹 another one being when FL worked to gather evidence without ML knowing and got justice for his mom 🥹

12. Captive Love from the Mob Boss - ML: Ma Xiao Yu, FL: Zhang Chu Xuan

This !! This drama, I technically have a love-hate relationship with it but well, my fav surpassed the non fav for this one and thus it ended up here on this list 😂 Well everyone out here must have watched this one at least once and I'm sure everyone has same mixed emotions like me 😂 Let me tell you this does have our pitiful FL but then she did know how to give it back properly to the mob boss ML. She literally fakes her death. But yeah the ML was really high handed, all those toxic things he did was definitely him being a black flag, especially threatening FL when they were getting married either to say yes or see everyone die with a blast 😨 Surprisingly he did not touch her on their wedding night. Man there's a lot of push and pull and finally we also see how FL brings ML to that ruined warehouse just to kill him believing SML and thinking he killed her father. Well after all this we do have a bonus of them and their son who is again la mini version of ML and surprisingly in this we see a very submissive version of ML 😂 The drama is high on emotion, but yeah, the main thing is chemistry which was oozing in each frame 🔥 Watch it only if you're in mood for some brainless toxicity 😅

1. Ta Cong Chen Shui Zhong Xing Lai (2024) - ML: Zhao Zhen Dong, FL: Meng Na

Again one of the dramas on my unwatchable list. I mean what even was that 🤔 We have a sc*mmy ZZD, a damn infuriating green tea (I'd call her poisoned tea 😡), a blind suffering FL and daughter, the brat son of ML and that mistress who is same age as ML and FL's daughter and an out and out infuriating, s*um, j*rk, @$$ of an ML who actually implanted a frkin worm in his own daughter just so that he can control her and make her a scapegoat donor for his son's heart 😨 Meng Na's character goes from weak to strong but tbh I really had to teak a break from watching ZZD on screen after watching this, and only after watching some 7-8 sweet dramas of his was I feeling better. Who even writes such characters 😡 Tbh this was first collab of ZZD and Meng Na with second one, Love is Forbidden in Marriage, being the same toxic pool. But this one really crosses the limit. Watched it once and really don't want to rewatch. (To think I never use such strong words while writing in my previous posts but this one made me so worked up 😭)

2. Thinking of You, Morning and Night - ML: Wang Haozhen, FL: Jin Zi

Ok now a majority will be surprised as of why I put this newly released drama here, and a majority may assume that I obviously dislike this drama because of FL. But lemme tell you, this, I am saying after watching this for 2-3 times, that ML wasn't faultless either. He has done multiple things that caused mental hurt to FL. I've been saying this everywhere for a while rn. Reason 1- He KNEW, knew that FL's ex would actually sh!t but didn't inform them before hand. Had he informed he would have had better chances to be in FL's heart. He just let it happen so that he can pressurize FL to marry him by acting saviour. In a way she was right to hate ML because he was a kind of enabler for her family's downfall. Reason 2- Did you watch that wedding night scene? It was so uncomfortable. ML knew FL's heart wasn't in it yet he went forward with doing the deed with her on the first day itself instead of winning her heart slowly and steadily and mind you she was probably just 20 😭😱 Reason 3- FL didn't want to give birth at that time, and going by ages she was just 21. Yet ML made her give birth and her friend says this as well when she had scheduled abortion, FL played violin continuously for 8 hours so much that her neck started bleeding. That much pressure she was under yet ML made her give birth. Reason 4- He did gaslight her putting that stomach ailments prescription and purposefully eating those spicy foods. Now coming to FL, I won't really entirely blame her but she was blameworthy for neglecting that baby so much that he believed his mom hated him 😭 that baby was faultless, and one more thing was that how disconnected she was from her own parents that she didn't know about their surgery (credit to ML for not allowing them to inform her, like what man🙄🙄). The making, acting and visuals are top notch and I guess Wang Haozhen probably cried his heart out for this. I expected the same that I'll feel really bad for ML seeing the sneak peeks but I guess I was wrong because both he and FL were really questionable humans. The only person I really felt sad for was that son who was caught in adults crossfire

3. Bu Fu Dang Nian Qing Shi Yu (2025) - ML: Liang Si Wei, FL: Ma Le Jie

Again one more drama that I would really avoid watching especially if I am having a real bad day. Ngl this one infuriated me so much. I absolutely love Liang Siwei but the way his character was so cruel towards FL, made her pregnant, and yet years later as well he blamed her for his mother's suicide when she was alive and well 😒 We don't even se a proper apology and man this is really one of those hard watches out there. I only liked SML, and ML's supposed fiancée who was actually a sweet heart focusing on female friendships ❤ The acting is really good but styling isn't; what even was that brown wig on FL? It looked so jarring 😒 The worst thing was all those hatred ML gave her was not only misplaced and misunderstood but also proved that he was just a dumb nut and FL deserved way better but I guess she was also made dumb after she fell for ML 🙂

4. Fury of the Reborn Lady (2024) - ML: Liang Siwei, FL: Zhang Shan Shan

I really don't have words for this one. The whole basis of 2 lives is a stupid misunderstanding on ML's part that FL was a scheming woman whom he married by making her pregnant and the rest is the staple green tea sister, trash mother-in-law and a very cussable j*rk husband played by Liang Siwei. It would have been better had FL taken her daughter and left that trash but no, they get back together and that too that child's wish 🤦‍♀️ the same child whose so called father's sister got her killed in previous life. This is definitely a highly infuriating drama and I haven't really rewatched. Safe to say that I outright hate this one. The main person FL should have taken revenge on was ML and she did not do that, spared him and even got back together 🤦‍♀️

My Favs:

1. A Family of Three in the Same Class 1 and 2 (2026) - FL: Wang Xiaoyi, MLs: Wang Yilei and Zhang Chi

Apart from the fact that all three leads are ridiculously good-looking, this drama is a funny, quirky, and surprisingly heartwarming story about a boy who grows up never knowing his father, ends up in the same class as his mother, and then accidentally discovers the identity of his long-lost dad ❤️The absolute highlight for me was Zhang Chi with white hair 😍 He genuinely looked like Wang Xiaoyi and Wang Yilei's son, and he was adorable throughout the drama. What's even funnier is that while Wang Yilei and Zhang Chi played father and son here, in another drama they were father-in-law and son-in-law 😂 Once Zhang Chi's character learns that Wang Yilei is his father, he becomes hilariously clingy, and their father-son interactions are some of the sweetest parts of the show Season 2 somehow made things even crazier by having him transmigrate back to the 1980s during his parents' own love story 😎 The whole setup was chaotic in the best way possible. Honestly, while anticipating S2, I kept expecting Zhang Chi's character to get a love interest of his own, maybe played by Zhi Chunhe, with his parents trying to play matchmakers and accidentally creating even more chaos 😅 That would've been absolutely hilarious to watch.

Half-Mature Husband

2. Half-Mature Husband (2025) - ML: Wang Kaimu, FL: Xu ZhenZhen

I was deep into my Wang Kaimu phase when this drama came out, and it arrived right when slow-burn short dramas were becoming more popular ❤️ What I liked most was that the romance actually took its time. The chemistry felt natural, and you could genuinely understand why the ML was so afraid of falling in love. His trauma stemmed from witnessing his mother's infidelity, which made his emotional walls feel believable rather than frustrating. Thankfully, the characters actually communicate, especially the FL, who makes an effort to understand his fears instead of jumping to conclusions ❤ This was also the first Xu Zhenzhen drama I watched, and she left a great impression on me. The aesthetics were lovely too, with warm, casual styling that made everything feel cozy and grounded. I also appreciated that the FL didn't come from the usual wealthy family setup. Her family being centered around academia and research was a refreshing change👍

Fav Scene: The jade bracelet misunderstanding. The FL notices that her sister-in-law has a family heirloom bracelet while she doesn't, and naturally wonders if the ML is slighting her. But the reveal was so touching 🥹 The ML had intentionally kept back the heirloom because it belonged to his mother, and he didn't want his wife to inherit something tied to painful memories. Instead, he chose a completely new jade bracelet just for her ❤

3. No One but You (2025) - ML: Wang Kaimu, FL: Liu Xi Yu

This is such a sweet and comforting drama ❤️The ML and FL start off as a pretend couple, with the ML secretly having a long-standing crush on her, but what makes it stand out is how warm and respectful they are toward each other from the very beginning. Even their arguments are sensible and never feel dragged out 👍 The FL is smart, confident, and perfectly capable of handling herself. The supposed green tea never really stands a chance because the FL shuts her down so efficiently, with the ML practically cheering from the sidelines 😂 The ML is an absolute sweetheart, and so is his grandma 🥹 One thing that genuinely raised my standards was how he handled the FL bringing home a dog. Despite being allergic to dogs himself, he never asked her to give it up. He simply accepted it because it mattered to her. He really didn't have to do that, but he did ❤️ Another thing I loved was how the FL's kindness naturally attracted good friends and well-wishers. The heartwarming moments felt earned, and the supporting characters added a lot of warmth to the story. The ending is lovely too, with the FL getting pregnant and the couple starting a new chapter together 🥰 A wholesome, low-stress comfort watch with green-flag leads, sweet family dynamics, and plenty of heart, all wrapped up in under 2 hours ✨❤️

4. Make You Mine (2025) - ML: Lan Bo, FL: Ma Qiu Yuan

I have a weakness for dominant FLs, so this drama was practically made for me 😌❤️Lan Bo has a reputation for playing dominant, sometimes red-flag-ish MLs, but here he was completely subdued by Ma Qiuyuan's FL 😎 She was sassy, confident, and refreshingly assertive for an ancient drama heroine. She cuts off her ex without hesitation, brings home a literal crown prince as her "little darling," and is fiercely protective of him from the start. One of the funniest role reversals was that the ML was the one wearing a veil because the FL was worried her ex-fiancé's family might recognize him 😂 Meanwhile, she casually flaunts her gorgeous "little darling" in front of her ex, his family, and even the empress with zero shame 🤣 The ML may look cold, but he's actually such a bashful bean ✨ Watching him blush every time the FL flirted with him was half the entertainment. And honestly, Lan Bo looked his prettiest in this drama. Yes, prettiest 😍❤️ The emperor and empress were great too. Their reaction to finding out their son had become someone's "little darling" was hilarious. They basically decided that was still a better outcome than him becoming a monk 😂 Great costumes, great chemistry, and a wonderfully nonchalant FL who kept everyone on their toes. One of the most fun female-led romances I've watched 👑✨❤️

5. Day In, Day Out (2026) - ML: Liang Siwei, FL: Deng Lingshu

One of the newer releases and already one of my most rewatched dramas ❤️ The characters are just so lovable. The ML is a rich guy who ends up in a small town because of threats from his stepbrother (played by Chen Baiqiao), but thankfully there's no dragged-out identity-hiding plot. The FL runs a salon, is quirky, honest, and adored by practically everyone around her 🥹 The leads' relationship is ridiculously cute. And seeing Liang Siwei play an innocent sweetheart instead of his usual flirty characters was such a pleasant surprise 😍 The family dynamics were great too. The FL develops a lovely bond with the ML's mother simply through her warm and talkative personality. Even the potential green tea was refreshing. Instead of causing endless drama, she sees how kind the FL is and ends up becoming her friend 🎉 The small-town setting was one of the drama's biggest strengths. It felt cozy, lived-in, and added so much charm to the story. The ending was heartwarming too, especially when the FL becomes pregnant and her mother reassures her with so much love and support ❤️

Fav Scene: When the FL's mom catches her at the ML's house after they'd spent the night together. 😂 The embarrassment, panic, and chaos that followed were absolutely hilarious 🤣💕

6. Mei Gui Guan Mian (2023) - ML: Shen Hao Nan, FL: Wang Gege, SML: Liu Xiao Xu

A sweet and satisfying drama about a girl who gets rejected and looked down upon by her longtime crush simply because she's an adopted daughter, only to end up marrying the man who has loved her all along ❤️ Shen Haonan as Xie Yanli is one of the earliest true green-flag MLs in vertical cdramas. No unnecessary toxicity, no endless misunderstandings, just a man who consistently loves and supports the FL 🥹 Wang Gege brings her usual charm to Lou Ruan, making her bubbly, quirky, and impossible not to root for. And then there's Liu Xiaoxu as the SML. Thankfully, he's not the usual rage-inducing scumbag. He's just... spectacularly dumb 😂 Watching him slowly realize what he lost was honestly more funny than frustrating. A simple, heartwarming romance with lovable leads and a green-flag ML before green-flag MLs became trendy ❤️✨
Fav Scene: When ML decided to bundle up by wearing mask and hats to conceal himself because FL just asked him whether he has many admirers 😂

One of my absolute favorite Zeng Hui and Han Yutong dramas ❤️ The comedy, romance, and sheer quirkiness were blended perfectly here. The FL is reborn carrying the trauma of watching her mother suffer because her father favored another woman, so she develops a very practical love for money. Armed with memories from her past life, she immediately latches onto the ML because she remembers he's rich... except she has no idea that he's actually the emperor 😂 The FL's fake heartbreak acts were hilarious, but the real star was the ML's devotion. This man was gone. She wanted money? He gave her money. She wanted to marry someone else? He was ready to become the side piece in his own love story 🤯 And to prove his loyalty, he willingly accepted a gu worm that would cause him pain whenever the FL felt betrayed by him. That's a level of commitment that's both romantic and slightly insane 🥹 The SML was refreshingly nice too, and I loved that the FL helped him find his own happy ending instead of turning him into a villain. The costumes were gorgeous, and the FL's flashy outfits fit perfectly since the story takes place in a fictional world 😍My favorite scenes were always the ones where the FL pretended to be fragile and harmless, got the ML to lower his guard, and then immediately started causing chaos 😂❤️

8. Spring Day (2025) - ML: Chen Zhengyang, FL: Guo Yuxin

Anything starring Guo Yuxin automatically goes onto my watchlist 😌 And after watching almost every Chen Zhengyang drama, this one is easily my favorite. It's another "marry your ex's uncle" storyline, but what makes it stand out is how steadfast the FL is. For once, there's none of the usual "get into bed to take revenge" nonsense. Both the ML and FL are respectful, traditional people who actually get married first and build their relationship from there ❤️This might also be Chen Zhengyang's best styling to date🔥 And Guo Yuxin's qipaos were absolutely gorgeous 😍 The traditional wedding outfits were especially stunning. A classy romance with beautiful costumes, mature leads, and some very well-earned payback ✨❤️

Fav Scene: When the FL finally turned the tables on the green tea SFL. After all the trouble she'd caused, watching her accidentally destroy her own mother's keepsakes because of the FL's setup was incredibly satisfying 😎

9. The Young Mistress comes from the Northeast China 1 and 2 - ML: Ye Wen Kevin, FL: Liang Wenjing

I watched this just a week ago, and I was genuinely impressed 🔥 The production felt grand, but what really won me over was the dynamics between all the characters. Ye Wen Kevin was cute, but Liang Wenjing absolutely carried the show. 👏 The FL's parents were such a refreshing change too. Instead of the usual awful village-parent stereotype, they were loving, supportive, and genuinely wanted the best for their daughter ❤️ One of my favorite things was watching the FL slowly transform the ML's family. The growth of the ML's mother was especially satisfying. Seeing her find the confidence to speak her mind and even teaching the FL how to cuss was hilarious 🤣🤣 The in-laws' chemistry was unexpectedly fun, and the ML and FL got together pretty quickly despite starting off as a contract couple, which saved us from endless misunderstandings. Part 2 was just as enjoyable with the wedding preparations and the discovery that the ML's long-lost brother had unknowingly been raised by the FL's family. My favorite moments were mostly the FL's interactions with her in-laws, but the standout scene was definitely the wedding speech from her father ❤️ When he says that no matter where she goes, he'll always protect her, it was such a heartfelt moment. A genuinely enjoyable drama with great family dynamics, lovable characters, and plenty of heart.✨❤️

10. You Complete Me (2024) - ML: Yu Long, FL: Yang Mie Mie

Such a cute and stress-free drama ❤️ The runtime is under 2 hours, both leads are green flags, and the romance is genuinely sweet. The FL and ML get into a flash marriage, and the funniest part is that she ends up working as a cleaner in his company without realizing who he really is 😅The real MVP, however, was the ML's grandma 🥹 She couldn't care less whether her grandson's wife was rich or poor. She loved the FL wholeheartedly from day one, and every scene with her was a delight ❤️ There's a wannabe green tea, but thankfully she's dealt with pretty quickly. The FL is strong enough that nobody gets to push her around for long. And of course, we get Yu Long doing what Yu Long does best: looking at Yang MieMie with permanent heart eyes 😍A fluffy, funny romance with lovable characters and zero unnecessary stress ✨❤️
Fav Scene: When the grandma gifted a painting to the FL's mother. Mother and daughter were happily admiring it until a friend casually revealed that it was worth millions. 🤣 The two immediately started insisting that such an expensive painting did not belong in their tiny house.

11. Wild Grace Unleashed (2025) - ML: Lan Bo, FL: Wang Xiaoyi

One of my favorite revenge dramas. 🔥 We have a crazy ML and an even crazier FL, and somehow they work perfectly together 🤯 This was my first Lan Bo drama in a modern setting, but Wang Xiaoyi absolutely stole the show. The FL wasn't born ruthless, she became that way because of her horrible family, and it was immensely satisfying watching her get revenge. Special mention to all the times she slapped her vicious sister 😌👏 What I loved most was that the FL didn't need rescuing. The ML was there to support her, not save her. She took back everything that belonged to her and orchestrated a spectacular downfall for her father, stepmother, and stepsister 🔥 The leads' dynamic was pure entertainment. The FL constantly gave random orders, deliberately provoked the ML, and wasn't afraid to push back whenever needed. Cathartic revenge, chaotic leads, great chemistry, and a satisfying ending, all wrapped up in under two hours.

Fav Scene: The iconic moment where the ML literally blows up a building because the FL wanted to see fireworks 🤣🔥

Zao Gao! He Jie Jie Zou Cuo Le

12. Zao Gao! He Jie Jie Zou Cuo Le S1, 2, 3 - ML: Xie Yuwang, FL: Wang Haimin

This is easily one of the best versions of the wedding mix-up storyline. Most adaptations either leave things incomplete, separate the leads unnecessarily, or turn the father into a full-blown villain. This one stays surprisingly close to the source novel, with the Lan Bo-Gong Fangni version being a close second for me 👍Xie Yuwang was excellent as Fu Chengzhou, especially in S2 and S3 where his conflicts and growth were properly explored. The younger brother was the real MVP though 👑 While his dad and tsundere older brother kept making a mess of their love lives, he was out there treating his girl like a queen and working overtime to fix everyone else's relationships 😂 I also loved Wang Haimin as the younger sister. She was sheltered and pampered without being annoying. My favorite scene was in S2 when she firmly tells the ML that she wants a divorce because he's always trying to change her, while she has no intention of changing herself 🔥The styling was great, the parents' story was well-developed, and most importantly, the ML's redemption actually felt earned. Watching him gradually embrace everything he forbade the FL from doing in S1 and then become clingy by S3 was both satisfying and hilarious. 😂❤️

13. Mermaid Husband (2025) - FL: Zuo Yi, MLs: Shen Haonan, Wang Yiran, Duan Meiyang, He Jianqi, Chen Bai Qiao

To think this drama managed to put Shen Haonan, Wang Yiran, Duan Meiyang, He Jianqi, and Chen Baiqiao in the same series... and then dropped the lovely Zuo Yi right in the middle of all that visual chaos 🤩✨ This was such a fun watch. The styling was absolutely fantastic. Zuo Yi and the entire male cast looked like they had walked straight out of a manhwa 🫠❤️The plot fully embraced the reverse-harem concept, and honestly, for once I understood the FL's dilemma 😂 Every single guy was a solid option. Usually there's an obvious favorite, but here the competition was fierce 😎 What made it even better was the bromance. Half the time I was just as entertained by the interactions between the guys as I was by the romance itself 🤣 Their chemistry, banter, and complete lack of seriousness made the whole drama feel like a giant playground for attractive people. A chaotic, funny, visually stunning reverse-harem drama where everyone looked amazing and somehow made the FL's choice feel genuinely difficult ✨🤭❤️

14.  Flash Marriage Cold Captain (2024) - ML: Zhu Yiwei, FL: Bai Xinyi

This is easily my favorite version of the pilot ML × controller FL storyline ✈️❤️ I feel this adaptation gave the plot a lot more depth instead of relying purely on the gimmick. And then we have the ZhuBai couple 😍 Do I really need to say more? Their chemistry practically carried itself. Every interaction felt natural, and the styling only made them look even better together ✨ The ML is a complete green flag, while the FL is adorable and easy to root for. Of course, the drama also comes with a ridiculously entitled and annoying green tea, but watching her downfall was immensely satisfying 😎 A sweet romance with great chemistry, beautiful styling, and one of the cutest misunderstandings I've seen in a while ✨😍

Fav Scene: My favorite scene has to be when the ML gets all emotional and starts crying because he thinks the FL has a crush on someone else... only to discover that the person she's been talking about is actually him. 🫠❤️

Northeast Love Story 1990

15. Northeast Love Story 1990 (2026) - ML: Liu Qing, FL: Zhang Chu Xuan

It's rare to see Liu Qing in a full-on comedy, and this one absolutely delivered 😂 And with Zhang Chuxuan as his co-star? She can honestly have chemistry with anyone. It was also fun seeing so many actors from the first generation of short dramas sharing the screen together ✨ True to the classic Northeast-drama spirit, both the FL and ML are loud, dramatic, and constantly yelling. By the end, my biggest question was: didn't their throats hurt? 🤣 The comedy was gold. We have the FL beating people up, the ML dressing up like a movie star for a date only for the FL to immediately ruin his hairstyle, and the hilarious buildup to their intimate scene where the ML keeps trying to remove her dress only to discover layer after layer underneath. His exhausted "Are you a corn cob?" had me wheezing 🤣🤣 The leads had a genuinely green-flag relationship, and I also loved the FL's constant love-hate bickering with her much younger brother-in-law 😆Despite acting tough most of the time, the ML was actually a complete sweetheart and turned into an obedient puppy whenever his wife was involved 🥹❤️ Funny, chaotic, wholesome, and packed with great chemistry. Definitely a must-watch if you're in the mood for a comedy 😁✨❤️

Zhou Zhou Ben Fu Ni

16. Zhou Zhou Ben Fu Ni (2025) - ML: Huai Wen, FL: Fu Yushu

Huai Wen and Fu Yushu have three dramas together, but this one is definitely my favorite 👍The FL switches places with her sister to marry the ML, and instead of being cold or dismissive, the ML accepts it and gradually falls in love with her ❤️ One thing I absolutely love about Huai Wen's dramas is that his characters are almost always caring, considerate, and unapologetically devoted to their wives. Here too, he makes it very clear to everyone that the FL is his wife and deserves respect 🙌 The ML's mother is a sweetheart, and while his sister initially gets swayed by the green tea, the ML wastes no time putting a stop to it. The best part? He keeps a huge distance from the green tea from the start, and the moment he realizes she's causing trouble for his wife, he immediately shuts her down 👏 The chemistry between the leads was wonderful, and their growing affection felt genuine ❤ Even when the FL becomes conflicted after her sister returns, she ultimately follows her heart and chooses the ML 🥹 The wedding sequence was especially adorable with the two of them and their puppy 😍 The styling was gorgeous throughout, and I absolutely loved the FL's wedding dress 💖✨

Hide One's Love

1. Hide One's Love (2025) - ML: Chen Si, FL: Yang Shu Yu

The drama, making, acting are all top notch. Heck I literally searched so many places just to watch this once. But as usual, it's a one filled with endless suffering of FL. This one was way too toxic for my liking 😭Yes, Chen Si was completely in his dangerous, obsessive element, and he played the role well, but the story itself was just exhausting. The FL loses almost everything, including her baby, gets constantly doubted by the ML, suffers because of a vicious green tea who causes her miscarriage, and somehow still can't escape the chaos surrounding her 😔 What frustrated me most was the ML's behavior. Instead of trusting or supporting her, he kept forcing his way into her life, even when she was clearly breaking down. Watching the FL reach the brink of suicide only to be confined and controlled again was genuinely uncomfortable 😡 Ironically, one of the most satisfying moments was when the FL finally fought back and arranged for people to shoot him. After everything she endured, it felt like one of the few times she regained some agency 😶 The character I felt the worst for, though, was the FL's ex 😭 The poor guy lost everything despite doing nothing wrong and ended up becoming collateral damage in everyone else's mess. Definitely one of those dramas where the acting was strong, but the toxicity level made it a very difficult watch 😮‍💨💔

Sweet like His Lips

2. Sweet like His Lips (2025) - ML: Shen Hao Nan, FL: A Shang

This one was technically a HE, but honestly, I spent most of the drama being annoyed at the ML's self-righteousness 😮‍💨 Both leads are reborn, and the FL makes it very clear that she wants nothing to do with him because of how deeply his coldness hurt her in their previous life. The frustrating part is that the ML knows exactly why she's avoiding him, yet keeps inserting himself into her life and refusing to respect the distance she's trying to create 😑 The production quality and acting were good, and I can see why many people enjoy it. But for me, it was a hard watch because I never felt the FL's trauma was given the space it deserved. Instead of letting her heal on her own terms, the story kept pulling her back into the ML's orbit. So while the ending is happy, I wasn't really celebrating by the time I got there 😅 Good production, decent performances, but the ML's attitude made this a frustrating experience for me 💔👍

You You Lu Ming

3. You You Lu Ming (2024) - ML: Liu Qing, FL: Bai Yan

Much as I love the Liu Qing and Bai Yan pairing, this is easily one of my least favorite dramas of theirs 😔 The performances were excellent, probably some of their best, but the story itself was incredibly uncomfortable to watch. We have the usual setup of a revenge-driven FL and a crazy, obsessive ML, but the things he does after discovering her plans crossed too many lines for me. Choking her, locking her up, chaining her, and even publicly humiliating her with the help of a green tea and other men made it impossible for me to root for their romance 😞 Bai Yan was absolutely gorgeous in this drama though ❤️ She delivered the emotional scenes really well and carried a lot of the story's weight. The ending was somewhat satisfying at first. The ML loses everything and ends up living as a beggar, while the FL builds a stable life with their child. It felt like a fitting consequence for everything he'd done. But then the drama goes and reunites them anyway 😮‍💨 So while the acting was fantastic, this is one of those dramas that left me more stressed than entertained. Definitely a hard watch and not one I'd revisit despite loving the lead actors. 💔😞

Liao Luan

4. Liao Luan (2024) - ML: Chen Bai Qiao, FL: Bai Yan

Another drama where the FL suffers so much that it stopped being entertaining and just became frustrating 😭 Honestly, almost everyone in this drama was awful except for the FL's best friends, who were the only people consistently supporting her when she needed it most ❤️ Her late sister was terrible, the sister-in-law was insufferable, the green tea was infuriating, the mother-in-law was a nightmare, and then we have the ML... who somehow managed to be the worst of the lot 😡 This man literally stood by while the FL was slapped for no reason and even abandoned her during her miscarriage. At that point, I had completely given up on him. He wasn't just a bad husband, he was the biggest enabler in the entire story. Even the kids were written in a way that made them hard to like, which is honestly impressive for all the wrong reasons 😮‍💨 The one thing I absolutely loved was that the FL didn't go back to the ML 👏 Instead, she focused on herself, built a successful career as a designer, and proved her worth on her own terms. Her clapbacks to her ex-family were especially satisfying, particularly when she pointed out that they only started valuing her after discovering her success 🔥 Watched it once, got angry, and never looked back. 😤👍
