Traveling long-term with the Aeronaut 30

Entering my second month of indefinite travel with the A30 in Ursa as my onebag. I love how easy it’s been to live with, the organization and flexible carry style is perfect for me. I spent probably a couple of years debating about whether or not to buy it, and I absolutely wasn’t disappointed. I gotta think of a cool name for it.

What American city am I looking for?

Hello hello, American currently living abroad and thinking about where I’d like to move to when I return. I have some ideas, but just wondering if I’m missing anything major, or if someone living in any of these cities could give me their thoughts.

I’m looking for someplace that is the following:
- Walkable (this is really important)
- Large, probably at least 650k, but not sure if I want to deal with a true mega city
- Direct culture. I don’t want to deal with passive aggressive places anymore
- Preferably (and here’s the big sticking point) mild winters

Most of the serious contenders are on the upper east coast, but tend to get a little colder than I’d prefer (Boston). I’m also really torn on whether to do a mega city again (New York). But maybe chilly winters are the price I pay to get everything else on the list.

Anything I’m missing?
