New Switch owner. how do I get the most out of it?

Hi everyone! I recently got a Nintendo Switch as a gift, and it came with Tomodachi Life. I LOOOOOVE it so far, and now I really want to start buying more games.

The only thing is, Switch games can be pretty expensive, so I’m not sure what’s worth getting or what I’d actually enjoy. I’d love some recommendations!

I’m especially considering one of the Mario games, preferably something fun to play with friends. I also really want to get into Kirby, Zelda, and Pokémon, but I honestly don’t know where to start with any of them.

What games would you recommend for a newer Switch owner? Are there any must-haves, good beginner-friendly picks, or games that go on sale often?

Thanks in advance!

Overweight beginner trying to build from 25+ minute miles: how should I structure a run/walk plan without burning out?

I know the title sounds ridiculous, but genuinely: how do you run?

I’ve been overweight pretty much my entire life. Over the last couple of years, I've lost about 60 lbs, though I’ve gained back about 15 recently while studying. I’ve been working on losing it again, but overall, I’m still really proud of the progress I’ve made.

One of my biggest goals has always been to get into running. I’ve always wanted to be someone who can just go for a run, even if it’s slow. But every time I try, I feel like I can’t do it. I get winded so easily, and then I start feeling self-conscious because I’m still a little chubbier, and I convince myself I’m running “wrong” somehow. I know people probably aren’t paying attention, but it really gets to me.

My gap year starts in a couple of weeks, and I feel like this is the perfect time to finally tackle this goal. I want to build up slowly and actually learn how to run without immediately burning out or feeling embarrassed.

Right now, a mile takes me 25+ minutes, which feels ridiculous, even though I know everyone starts somewhere.

For people who started from zero, especially while overweight or out of shape: how did you actually begin? Should I be doing walk/run intervals? Couch to 5K? Treadmill first? Outside? How do you pace yourself when your cardio is really bad?

Any advice would be appreciated. I really want to stick with this.
