Hello!

I'm very excited to be doing the Portuguese coastal route this fall for my birthday. I'll be on the trail from Sept. 27 to Oct 10ish, starting in Porto.

Just curious how busy the trail usually is around this time of year, and whether I should be booking any albergues ahead of time. My plan is to ideally stay in the municipal albergues, but I can pivot to booking private ones if it will be hard to get a spot.

Does anyone else in Calgary use Direct Energy as their utility provider and have really inconsistent billing?

I just got a bill for $68.66 for the month of April for using just 75 kWh of electricity. Last month I was charged $27 for using 96 kWh. I don't have to pay for heat in my place.

Is this normal for Direct Energy to charge like this? Is it possible there's a mistake somewhere? The only difference I can think of in my power use is I plugged in a water fountain for my cat that runs 24/7, but it's still weird to me that my bill is higher for using less power.
