I'm currently looking into display cases for MT (ideally UK local), I was wondering if anyone had any personal experiences/recommendations - so far ive seen Wicked Bricks and boxxco cases.

Also, how does the UV / yellowing prevention work - i understand it doesn't completely prevent yellowing, but does it at least help - and if so, which one is the most effective? Figured after spending £550+ on a set, its worthwhile investing in a case to preserve its display value.

Just wondering if anyone here has any updates regarding the odyssey strips? I purchased mine about 10ish minutes in and I’m still stuck on ‘waiting for details’ on the shop app.

I’m worried now as I’m based in the UK and I’ve put the shipping address down as my parents (home for the summer), so ideally they would’ve arrived by the end of August - but now that’s not looking likely.

Hopefully we get some progress soon.

Edit/ seems like I am very unlucky then - have emailed imax to see if I can get an update but very much doubt it . Fingers crossed

Hi all, like most of you - I’ve recently seen the rumoured leaks of helms deep as the 2027 ‘big set’, and I was just curious what you guys think the set will involve.

Can you see it being a peaceful display set - similar to what minas Tirith was like. Or will it depict the full battle (surely the full battle right)?

Also how much of the helms deep do you reckon we will see - maybe somehow incorporate the cave section or any other rooms?

Do you think they’ll incorporate morfalk (I think) - the guy who blew up helms deep - or is this ‘too dark for LEGO’. Tbf they did do a GWP for the Sméagol and deagol stuff which was quite dark.

Just curious what everyone thinks.

Hi, does anyone know if Printworks in Manchester offers the IMAX merchandise that BFI normally offers? For example, the film strip promotions, or the posters? Would be a shame if not, especially as its the only other imax 70mm screen in the UK.

Next week will be my first time purchasing a set of Minas Tirith Size in person at the lego store. Im traveling down an hour by train to my local store to go to the event to purchase the set - I was just wondering if Lego provides a strong bag to hold/take the set home in? Can't think of anything worse than a plastic bag snapping - and having to carry it 20 minutes to the train station, then deal with it for an hour on the train - I'm also praying this heat wave in the UK doesn't last till monday ...

Also how does the insiders stuff work - I've signed up online and added the membership QR code to my apple wallet - Is there anything else that I need to do?

Hi, does anyone have any recommendations on how to go about shaving facial hair whilst on acutane. Currently I’m just using a cheap disposable razor and sensitive gel and Cara ve moistures post shave. however, I am finding that I am getting lots of razor bumps/red spots after shaving - especially around jaw.

Does anyone have any recommendations on cheap ish razor blades/creams/post shave gels/routines etc - that works for them?

I'm interested in purchasing Minas Tirith, but have seen a lot of comments about how it's going to turn into a 'yellow city' in a few years.

Just curious, what methods help prevent yellowing - other than keeping it out of direct sunlight?

Update: I read online about how some lego cases help delay/decrease the yellowing - saw one from a company callled "wicked Brick" - are they any good/worth it and is there any other businesses that people recommend (that ship to uk pref)?

I’m looking to expand my IMAX 70mm film strip collection. At the moment, I have Tenet, Dunkirk and Joker: Part 2. However, it seems that other film strips (like Oppenheimer and Dune) are mostly being listed on eBay in the US. That comes with the burden of having to pay 20% VAT, plus crazy shipping rates.

Is there anyone in the UK who has any film strips they’d be willing to sell?

I've just got into collecting the imax film strips, and I'm curious if anyone has any guesses on what film releases this year may offer film strips.

So far, PHM has offered two, and Dune Part 3 is offering one on release weekend. I'm assuming the Odyssey will offer at least one. Can you guys see any other films maybe offering one (Disclosure day?)
