Hey, I am Rohit. I am 27, originally from Mumbai, and currently living in Germany.

I've done casual, and casual, and I broke up. I'm here for the real thing: the annoying, sappy, tell-our-future-kids (who might be adopted, but more on that later) a slightly exaggerated version of this post kind of real thing. My goal is to be the devastatingly intelligent nerdy guy you accidentally bump into at the grocery store. Even if we don't end up dating, I believe in being honest about intentions.

A little about me

My work: I am in research, specifically Cognitive Neuroscience. There admittedly isn't much money in it ngl, but it makes me incredibly content. I am wrapping up my Master's and applying for PhDs this September. Because I study brains, I actually pay attention to things.

The basics: I drink occasionally but do not smoke. I am completely fine if you do, I just mention it because I know it matters to some people. I am not strongly religious, but I am endlessly fascinated by different cultures and love learning from them. I also have a dog back in India who I absolutely love to bits.

My texting style: Absolute chaos. I will completely forget to reply for six hours and then send four messages in a row as if nothing happened. I promise to make up for it in person, as long as I can shower you in attention afterwards.

Full disclosure: I am intense, wildly ambitious, and can be overwhelming the more I open up. I am in therapy, I know my attachment styles, and I am emotionally mature (mostly thanks to a tight-knit friend group with excellent boundaries). But I am definitely a lot. I also hate uncertainty more than I hate racist people. Please just communicate with me!

The fun stuff

• I take notes: You read romance novels? Great. Instead of getting jealous of the fictional men, I am actively taking notes. I fully intend to become an amalgamation of your favourite book boyfriends and drive you crazy in the best ways.
• Hobbies: I bake, cook, read, and want to learn to crochet. I run, but I plan to figure out a proper workout routine once the PhD is settled.
• Adventures and downtime: I love board games and VR, and I want to build a dedicated room to host our friends. I also love traveling, exploring cuisines, and taking in everything a new country has to offer.
• Music: If the lyrics to a song don't make me pause mid-sentence like I've just heard classified state secrets, I am not interested. I need someone I can dance to these songs with.
• Rabbit holes: I am annoyingly curious. I will happily research any niche subject that interests you just so we can talk about it more.

What I am looking for

I want what is boring in the best way: the unglamorous, long-haul, grocery-shopping-together kind of love. Attraction is important so we can share pics once we are comfortable

I am looking for someone kind, emotionally steady, curious, and capable of taking a conversation from "how was your day?" to "okay, but why do you think you feel that way?" Someone who doesn't run away from conflict and is comfortable sharing a comfortable silence.

Bonus points if you think a well-written bridge in a song deserves the same reverence as a well-written paragraph in a classic novel, or if you stop mid-walk to pet a stranger's dog (my dog back home would definitely approve).

Intentions and dealbreakers

I date with intention. Dragging things out is deception, so if it is not working, I will be honest, and I expect the same from you.

Lastly, I am child-free. I love kids, but I do not want biological children, and this is a firm dealbreaker for me. However, I am open to adopting once we are both ready and settled.
