for people from CIS who actually moved to china - when did u start speaking practice?
ok so im planning to move to china and learning the language rn. started with random youtube vids then got on skyeng courses to have some actual structure. its been going ok ngl, reading and grammar are slowly getting somewhere
but heres my thing. i can sit thru a lesson no problem but i genuinely have no clue if i could hold a real convo. like textbook stuff is one thing but ive never actually talked to a native person and i feel like thats gonna be a wall
so im kinda stuck on whether i should deal with the speaking part now or just wait til im there. did you guys get tutors/language partners/whatever before going? or did u just figure it out once you were already there and had no choice lol. part of me thinks immersion sorts it out anyway so why bother. other part thinks ill show up and freeze in the first 5 min
anyone whos done the cis to china thing what did u actually do for speaking
