How am I supposed to watch Mitchell now that Schlitz is no longer being made?

Please help, my six sour cream burritos need a beer to chase.

3 year update: "Young Man’s Fancy” + possible case of possession
The lamp in the kitchen started flickering and browning out on Wednesday. To me, that’s how houses say “Hey, I’m fixing to burn down,” so I called the electrician.
“Please save us. We cannot see to cook in the evenings and we fear incursions by random electrons. We are in peril,” I said.
I’m getting to the MST3K part, I promise.
So the electrician, a delightful man who has worked on our house before and knows our wiring actually is kind of messed up, rushes over. He looks at the light fixture. He changes the bulbs.
It turns out that if you’re an Old Person (I am) you don’t necessarily realize that LED lightbulbs don’t just burn out; they spend a while pranking dipshits like me into thinking their houses are going to explode for a while first
Here is the MST3K part.
Oh god, I realized. I’m Judy.
I’m in my all-electric kitchen wailing “OH MY!” at the top of my voice because the mixer is unplugged. Except I’m worse than Judy - she was only pretending to be too dumb to understand her own kitchen so Alexander Phipps would get squishy with her. Whereas I, in actuality, flaked on how to troubleshoot a lamp and called a union member to change some light bulbs. Fuck.
Now here’s the thing. Wednesday was my anniversary. Three years ago, my wife and I got married at the Jam Handy Studios. (I didn't post about it right away.) The very place "Young Man's Fancy" was probably shot over the course of like 14 hours.
I've been feeling ok since the reception - positively squishy, in fact, if not absolutely frantic. But now I'm scared. What if something happened? What if I came back wrong? What if Judy's unquiet spirit, trapped on the soundstage when the electric kitchen was dismantled, was able to hitch a ride out of there in my mind while I was blitzed from cocktail hour? What if she's taking over??
Anyway, the electrician laughed, said this one so funny he wasn't going to charge us, and didn't say a word about time and motion studies, so 10/10. If you're in Detroit and need someone overqualified to change a lightbulb, DM me for his info.
Favorite quote from the actual movie (not a riff)
A while back I heard Mary Jo Pehl on Bill Corbet’s podcast, and they were talking about how when the filmed the episode for Space Mutiny they would crack up when Captain Santa Claus says, “You know, I’m thinking more about the possible motive.”
So I thought about lines from experiments that tickled me. And think my favorite non-riffed line is from Werewolf when Yuri says “Where'd you get this clown?”
Even as I'm typing this, I'm remembering "It stinks!" and "You're stuck here!".
Curious what comes to mind for you all!
Episode where a woman sounds like she's singing Led Zep's Immigrant Song
I've had this clip stuck in my head all day and can't remember which episode it was from. I'm pretty sure they even called it out
Name a film (or films) you wish the RiffTrax guys would riff on.
I'll start with Gamera vs Viras and Gamera: Super Monster as they are the only original Gamera flicks that never got a riffing, plus I kinda want to hear Mike's own version of the Gamera Song (not the lounge singer one either)
Zardobbs speaks to you his chosen ones
...work creates profits that poison the Earth with the plague of business...
Why did they never riff on this gem?
Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman seems like the perfect candidate to be ridiculed by our favorite robots and their human pal. Can you name other celluloid stinkers that deserve the MST3K treatment?
Archie Comics did the “Atomic Bob” more than 30 years before Frank gave Clayton one.
"And 'Congress' is spelled with an 'f'! What is this, 'Congreffff'?"
This must be what Mike's old encyclopedias that decidedly did not get him through college were like.
Unexpected use of MST3K in teaching - play the guessing game (it’s way too easy, btw…)
I teach 7th grade wood shop l, and I have an incredibly badly behaving student in one class currently. While debating solutions on what to do with them, I quoted my personal favorite MST3K song in an email.
Can you guess it? It’s probably way too easy
what is your favorite scream?
mine is: AAAAHHHH!!! (seen in mitchell)
